Jay isn't a carrier of weaponry. He has a crossbow that is stored in the chest, but he stands back. They can be destroying the floor, but if they cause too big a break they could fall in. He doesn't have the means of aiding in this fashion, so idly watches like an unqualified overseer.
The stone above slowly starts to chip away as the group strikes at it with their weapons. Some of the weapons seem more effective at loosening the stones away than the others. After a fair amount of sweat and time, the first stone comes loose. The next few stones are much easier to remove and you finally feel like the hole is big enough to get each of the party through it without much issue.
It's starting to get into the early afternoon by this point and you remember that the Duke had said lunch would be prepared for your group. Do you press ahead or take a short break for lunch?
Being so close to the site again has Paren a little on edge. "I definitely don't want to stop. Not this close. If you would like to go ahead but I'm going forward, we're so close."

Tanni is too focused on the task to notice Falaine's tone of voice. "I say we take a peek. We can eat after dealing with the crypt." She puts the pickaxe on the floor and grabs her warhammer. "Give me a boost. I'll take a peek and see if it's safe."
As Tanni is lifted into the chamber above, she sees that she's in a rather large and open room. It is undamaged from the cave ins that she saw back in the kobold compound. It's pitch black in the room, but her keen senses and time spent in the heart of the mountain allow Tanni to still get a good understanding of what's around her.
that the room is lined with vaults like a crypt. Each crypt is marked with a celestial engraving. It's hard to count how many vaults there are in the dark room but they stretch from floor to ceiling and completely wrap the room with the exclusion of a single wooden door that sits on one of the stone walls.
At the center of the room is an obelisk that is very similar to the one Tanni has seen before. It seems to be roughly the same age as the one in the grove but this one has been protected from the harsher outdoor elements. Isolated in this chamber, the stone almost seems to give off a soft humming sound. The celestial engravings on the stone are immaculately done with the beauty only a trained stone mason could achieve. Tanni does notice that this obelisk is very similar to the shard that the group had found. It has a very similar wet black look to it that almost makes it seem like the stone is shifting in the darkness.
As Falaine's magic takes hold, Tanni's senses light up with a sharp focus. Each of the vaults seem to be warded while the obelisk in the middle seems ready to activate some sort of magic if it is touched.
Tanni kneels down and peeks down to the room below. "No immediate danger. The room's surrounded with vaults and there's an obelisk. They all seem warded and I think the obelisk is dangerous. It looks like something the shards could be from, though this one is whole. It's... humming. This seems a job for you magic folk." She lays down and reaches down. "Grab my hand, I'll pull you up."
Paren reaches out a hand, eager to get back into the room. "How do you know they're warded? All I see is that funny writing that's on everything we've seen. I don't even know what that says," he points to the words above a vault, "though I assume it's celestial based on previous experience."

Jay follows after the others, not inputting into their conversation at this time. They seem to be in a hurry, as is he. Perhaps once they are done here, they can return and they can have their rest they want whilst he finishes off his work with a bit of peace and quiet. He says some quiet words to himself, "Guide my hand... Show me the way..." As he climbs up to follow the others.
The group is able to climb up into the chamber taking in the sights that Tanni has described. Paren may have lost the ability to properly understand celestial but when he looks at the engravings on the vaults he sees the large tree and spear symbol known to be the symbol representing Lugh.
The others in the group would understand the engraving to most likely be the name of the person buried here along with the title...
Warden.
The names on the vaults seem to come from many different races with common names from mostly the Highlands.
When everyone arrives in the chamber, they can feel a strong draw to the obelisk like a magnet. While it's a very inviting feeling, there's also a feeling of pain and struggle that comes with it.
he sees a large stone very similar to the one that he saw in the chamber before he was forced away. Could this strange monument be how he gets back there? He understood that the magic was rather temperamental and knew that he needed to be able to manipulate its power correctly to achieve his goal. The closer he gets the obelisk, the more free his mind became flooding him with his own thoughts that had been properly suppressed for so long.
Now that he's back in the room Paren tries to communicate with Lugh again. He sits down realatively near to the obelisk and closes his eyes. The others can see his lips moving in a slightly in a language that doesn't seem to be Common.
In elvish:
"Lugh, guardian of life, help us to understand this place. We seek to restore the balance that seems to have gone from it and bring it back to its former glory. Help us to quiet the voices so that those living here might do so in peace."

"I don't know, they just felt like they were warded. Be careful not to touch anything. That obelisk seems it may be even stronger than the shards we've seen." Tanni watches nervously as Paren sits down near the obelisk. "If any of you touch it and go crazy, I won't hesitate to smack you unconcious."
Jay stops mid step, staring at the obelisk. There is something different about his gaze this time. His sunkern eyes glimmer with a bit of golden light, though only for a fraction of a second. There is a slight breath that escapes his lips, the dull pale skin of his face showing the slightest bit of emotion.
In Celestial:
"Are... are you there?"
Then it all returns to normal. His stony exterior and dulled expression there again, as he brings a scorched tip of a finger to his cheek, collecting a single teardrop that fell during that moment. Jay steps forward, his voice still in its monotonous tambre, "Indeed. This may be something that requires further investigating. The magics in the area are temperamental, I suggest you keep your distance." Then there is the ringing of chains before the chest on his back is lowered to the ground. He unlocks it and begins to search through its contents, bringing out a vial of clear liquid.
If only he could see what she sees. He would be able to work out so much more...

[Tanni, you'll notice there's a pickaxe in your inventory from when Paren gave it to you]
[Whoops, forgot to refresh the tab with my character sheet. my bad. The damage is the same as what I rolled, only +1 more, so 6 damage in total.]

Falaine is very torn she wants to take a break and see the Duke, but she can't ignore the chance for more information.
"is anyone hungry? I want to get this done and don't want to leave the portal unattended."
Jay would notice a change in Falaine's vocal tone and timbre.

Falaine will cast find traps to make sure Tanni won't be surprised.
