You all proceed down the trail following Dontontion's lead. All proceeds without incident until you, Dontontion, notice something suspicious up ahead. Growing up in a society where hunting was a way of life, you know a pitfall trap when you see one. You take a nearby rock and toss it toward the trap, and sure enough, the portion of the path ahead collapses into a six-foot wide pit.
I am gonna continue on after a brief wait (basically wait for the dust to settle). Then proceed cautiously, if they are coming I'd like to be well past the 6 foot hole rather than trying to keep from falling into it.
After following the goblins' trail without running into another raiding party, you come to the entrance of a large cave in a hillside five miles from the scene of the ambush. A shallow stream flows out of the cave's mouth, which is screened by dense briar thickets. A narrow dry path leads into the cave on the other side of the stream.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
How big is the entrance? Presumably if the stream flows in the ground is soft and should show foot prints. "I'm gonna look for tracks and try and get an idea of how many goblins might be using this entrance."
Folos, you focus on trying to hear anything out of the ordinary in the area. Nothing seems to present itself until you hear what sounds like a sneeze and a reply in a language that sounds similar to the goblins you encountered on the Triboar trail. It came from the thicket on the other side of the stream.
Berrik, your resounding voice carries across the stream. A screech comes from the thicket and an arrow is fired wildly out of the treeline, missing you all. Peering across the stream, you see a goblin readying another shot as two more of its comrades take cover behind the trees.
You quickly jump back as some kind of goblin snare trap is triggered. Nothing too dangerous, you suppose, but a trap nonetheless.
This way guys, it's clear, there's no traps. Isn't that what you said don?
"Art thou well?"
He tries to look a little more carefully from now on while still keeping up appearances.

[OOC]Is there a way around the pit? Also, how much noise did the pit collapsing make, enough to bring more goblins?[/OOC]

OOG You can lead the party around it. There wasn't much noise.
Don, you wait for a spell and no goblins are coming to investigate.

"Ah, scouting the area. Good idea, Folos," I say a bit too loudly, looking for anything worth looking for. 20

well I don't think we should just walk in, they might have guards or more traps for don to spring.
