Badger jams the green crystal key into the lock. It doesn't require turning, as soon as they key is put in, the black key vanishes, the green key vanishes, and the lid of the sarcophagus also vanishes revealing a fine white powder that fills the interior...though even a quick glance shows a glimpse of something shiny jutting from the powder, and also a bit of colorful fabric. He also feels a brief pinch on the back of his hand and sees a strange sigil appear like a tattoo on the back of his hand and.....oddly....he feels like something is stuck at the back of his throat. He gets the subtle urge to gag, but ignores it for the moment, instead vanishing from his position and appearing near the maze, where he waves and yells. There...he sees a tiny Mal wandering around inside the maze.
Mal, the gigantic image of Badger in the sky appears, standing at a strange angle, looking directly down at you, as if he's levitating over the entire world. His distorted image is jumping and waving, and yelling, but you can't hear what he's saying and it's difficult to make out his arms since his whole face fills the sky. Mal continues wandering around the Maze.
Silas, you move up the stairs and a blast of magic strikes one of the skeletons, sending shards of bone flying and making it glow. (Next attack against M8 gets advantage)
Grenk, your action. Sickle, need your exploring roll.
Grenk will move back up the steps and reposition himself with the others. He'll quickly dig out a potion of healing and down it for good measure as we..
Grenk backs up the stairs, chugging a healing potion.
In the maze, Sickle continues wandering through the foggy place alone...though he does see Badger looking down from on-high. He seems to be speaking but you can't hear him.
The four skeleton minotaur's come rushing through the crumbled wall, and look around seeing Silas and Grenk at the top of the stairs. They all rush that way, coming charging up the stairs at the two warriors.
Everyone's turn. The four minotaurs are stacked, 2 x 2, on the stairs just under Grenk and Silas who stand at the top of the stairs. Sickle, Mal, more wandering please.

All the yelling and arm waving is making Badger feel a little green around the gills, so he gives up for now on trying to alert those in the maze, and turns back to the battle. Those skeletons look pretty intimidating, but the gnome will give THEM something to be afraid of.

Grenk smashes his blade through one twice, sending chunks of burnt, charred bone flying every which way. Then he tries to smash it over 10...sending it crashing down the stairs. The four minotaurs turn and continue fleeing.

A very bothered looking, battered Giant Eagle appears on the balcony next to Badger,. It blinks twice, then turns and pecks the maze, disappearing back within. This time, he simply flies low , keeping an eye out for any sign of...whatever he’s looking for... (if possible, if not, Sickle will just turn back into Sickle.)
Grenk will follow Silas and take up a post near him. If any shall break and return to move his way he will intercept, but he's not going to chase them down alone.
Readied action: Attack next skeleton to get close:
Sickle, dressed as an eagle, clearly decides he wants some more of the foggy maze. He pecks it and appears on the ground back in the maze. He flaps along, staying under the twenty foot walls, looking for something...
Mal continues her endless quest in the foggy ever changing maze.
Silas meanwhile crushes the skull of the damaged Minotaur as he flees, and Grenk gets a hit on another one.
Then they both go down to guard the sarcophagus...Grenk ready to strike.

Badger had hoped that opening the sarcophagus would neutralize the guardians, but it hadn't. What WAS it for then? While the skeletons flee, Badger teleports to the top of the coffin so he is standing directly on top of it. This not only keeps him in sight of the minotaurs (so they'll keep running away) but also gives him a good view of the coffin interior and contents.
