[OOC: Oh believe me I was shocked as well and attempted to check to see if I did it right, but of course dice roller thingy is broken at the moment. Did not know you could look at previous posts and it would spell it all out for you, that's good to know.]
Badger walks about the room, examining the keys. Though they're all a similar size, the teeth configuration on each is different. Otherwise, he turns up no unexpected hints or details.

So far the group has only looked at the keys in their positions hanging on the wall (right?), but Badger would like to take a closer look. But they are just a little high for him to reach (right?) so he asks one of his taller companions to kindly reach up and remove a key from the hook ...
If the roof doesn't cave in on them, then Badger will ask that all six keys be collected up and brought to the pedestal so they can be 'compared' to any markings or clues on the pedestal itself, or with each other in a bit more detail.
(OOC: I've got no idea here. Any thoughts?)

Mal will help Badger and grab the keys for him and then she will help him study the keys and the snail statute. She will also inspect the one key hole and see if any keys fit in it or if maybe the keys needs to be put together somehow before inserting them.
Mumbling, "If there are six keys there has got to be six keyholes right?"
(OOC: I expect the keys in the garden shed must be a part of this too, but there are hundreds, so this could take a week. Must be something about comparing them)

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
You examine the six keys together on the pedestal. Any one of the keys could fit into the key hole, But, as you look them each, it becomes obvious how they compare to each other. Each key's "Teeth" are at different spots along the keys shaft. As you look at all six, they each take a different position. So, you figure if you took the teeth from each key and put them all together, you'd end up with a complete key. However...there is no way to "stick them all together" to get them into the lock at the same time.

Badger rubs his nose furiously and mutters: So maybe a key from the garden shed has the full set of teeth? Perhaps these six keys are just the 'key' to the puzzle of which key from the shed to use in the pedestal! Badger also wonders what a 'garden shed' is, and why he would think of such a term.

"Anyone have any ink or paper, we can make a couple copies of what the "key" should look like and then go check the other keys to see if we can find a match. We can make multiple copies and each go take a section and hopefully find it sooner rather than later." Mal Suggests.
Silas stares at Mal, "Why do not you try to pick it?"

You can see a hint of a red blush on her cheeks as Mal looks at Silas and then blinks, "Well I can definitely try and pick it but I have a feeling that a lock with such an intricate key might be beyond me and to be honest I also might break the lock, but I am more than willing to give it a try." As she walks over to the lock you can see her raise her eyes to the heavens and then smack herself on the forehead, Idiot, shit right I CAN do that.
Investigation for traps: 15
Pick Lock: 15
[OOC: yea those rolls could have been a LOT better.]
The teeth of the keys do not come off in any way that the group can discern.
Mal, with prompting from Silas, wanders over and examines the trap. Hmmm, you don't see any traps...so you get to work. Clink...clunk...knowing the teeth marks may actually help...clunk clunk...hmmm....what was that last clunk for?
DC 18 Dex saves please everyone. The shell of the flail snail statue suddenly bursts into bright light, and rays of silvery energy blast off in all directions.
28 damage if you fail. None if you succeed.

Ducking her head and dancing away to avoid the bright beams of light and landing on her feet not taking any damage she dusts off her cloak and looks around. "Right so about those keys outside, we should go look as it appears I CAN'T pick locks."
Badger, Sickle, may or may not be fairly badly wounded. TBD.
Either way, the group makes their way from the shrine and out to the 'garden shed', whatever the gnome meant by that. Though there are keys everywhere, it only takes you a few minutes of searching to recognize a key that matches the teeth pattern of the six combined keys. Key in hand, the group returns. Eyeing the snail statue cautiously, the key is inserted. A hatch open on top of the pedestal with a grinding sound, and then a small pedestal corkscrews up out of the pedestal. A three inch stone cube sits atop. Seemingly trap free, the group carefully plucks it from it's spot and safely departs the temple.
(three of eight or nine acquired)
Will pause here to see how badly Badger and Sickle are, and if you guys decide to short rest, or continue on. I believe your next direction was the column rising from the lava lake, but let me know if I'm wrong.

Badger DEX save: 10
Badger watches curiously as Mal picks the lock, wondering whether this might not be a useful shortcut in future shrines. But sensing her uncertainty when the unexpected 'click' occurs, he is alert enough to roll out of the way when the snail-beams start shooting. Hrmph! I could have told you that would happen, he mutters, but trots out to the shed to help find the desired key.
Grenk steps back from the falling shell like it was nothing and cringe as Silias nearly gets crushed to death. Then the gnarly would start to knit itself with his magic. However, when the cube appears he asks, "Are they all this easy? I mean kill something, dodge a trap, turn a key?"
