Before combat, Badger casts Mage Armor on himself.
Badger will use the first round to cast Detect Thoughts from the Helm of Telepathy on one of the SnakeHead or SnakeBody people, preferably one that it relatively intact and hasn't yet been stabbed, shot, or struck by lightning too much. Use the Portent roll of 4 as the saving throw.
Jumping ahead: Badger will plan on using helm again next round to cast Suggestion on same target, suggesting that the snake-people are grossly outnumbered, that it should drop its weapon and flee, and call for its allies to do the same. Use the Portent roll of 5 as the saving throw.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Grenk let's the lightning pass and then rushes forward with shield and sword crackling with reddish electricity. He moves towards the snake body on the far left and will take two swings with his sword.
Attack 1: 21 Damage: 10 plus 5 lightning
Attack 2: 26 Damage: 15 plus 2 lightning plus lightning crit 1
Sickle waits behind his wall, his mind racing between the ring and his other choices. What to do, what to do...?
As the silence of the jungle ruins is broken by the crack of lightning and the hiss of arrows and bolts, Sickle reaches forth his staff. One of the snake-people looks down as a trickle of water runs past his feet, rising to his ankles, then he turns and looks up as a giant wave crashes into him.
Action: Tidal Wave Dex Save DC15 or 21 bludgeoning damage and knocked prone, half damage and not prone on success. Starting at the front of the line and working backwards.
If they are still around next turn, he will target a group of them away from the wizard and guide with Call Lightning. In a 5ft area around a point, Dex Save (disadv if prone) DC 15, or 22 lightning damage, half on success.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Silas dashes out of cover as the snake folk pass and the unassuming stone that has been slowly bobbing about his head unleashes a blast of lightning through the snake folk to the south side of the group.
The smell of ozone fills the air as the bright flash of electricity rips through the air, and snake people alike, a glaring bright streak of energy that scorches flesh.
Two heavy bolts rip through the air slamming one, then two, into the lead snake bodies warrior who screeches in pain and they rip deep into her flesh. He doesn't fall, but looks grievously wounded. (OOC: No 2nd assassinate. You can only assassinate if you go before them in initiative, and even though they don't get to act, they do get their first initiative int the first round.)
Badger, you listen in the snakeheads thoughts, "Maybe if Ras Nsi hears me take credit for the killing the wizard there will be a promotion to scale clan. It is a shame we could not eliminate these, my sword was at his throat...alive..what ridiciulous orders, who cares why they've come." You make your suggestion, sending it deep into his psyche. You already know he won't be able to resist. The snakehead (SH2) to the north looks around in a panic (but hasn't had a chance to move yet).
Grenk, seeing that the lead snake person has two crossbow bolts sunk deep into it's flesh and blasted by lightning, and barely standing, he charges the one at the back of the group instead, leaping with his blade, laying into the snake man, sending blood spraying from his blade.....though the creature is still alive.
And then, the rush of what seems like an instant waterfall erupts from nowhere, blasting through the entire ranks, splashing away before washing over the final snake person.
When the blast of water has suddenly washed through the crowd, half the Yuan-ti are on the ground along with their prisoners. The lead snake bodied warrior is down, his snake body limp and unmoving amidst the water rushing away into the grass. Ominously, while the column of snake warrior folk are still gathering themselves, the sky goes dark as a black thundercloud rapidly forms over the battle....crackling and the rush of wind fills the sky. A blast rips down, more lightning to rip through air and flesh. The white light strikes the water sodden ground sending mud and rocks spraying as the four nearest Yuan-ti are covered in blue and white energy that tears through their bodies.
Dex saves DC 15 : Snake Head 1 (prone) - 11, Snake Head 2 (standing) : 21, Human 4 (prone) - 6, Human 1 (standing) : 20
The prone snake head man stops moving as he feels the full blast of lightning.
Alright, everyone (except Sickle who has already taken his) can take your 2nd turn.
Badger will stick with his original plan. Not sure if the target will convince anyone to follow, but might be worth a try. Otherwise, taking one out of the fight is worth the effort of two rounds.

(OOC: Silas: yes, lightning bolt still deals half damage on successful save, the lower half of the enemies were all hurt.)
Mal rushes out of the darkness like a viper her rapier slashing through the female human with patches of scales on her back. Blood sprays and the woman shrieks in pain, still shocked by the sudden onslaught, ear ringing, eyes flooded with light.
Grenk continues to battle the snake body man who is at the back, and barely aware of the attacks as the lightning sword slashes twice into it, leaving blue crackling energy cascading along his flesh...yet he stands, even as a thin blade of light slashes into him from Silas' spell. DC 14 Dex save: 15
Finally, as the brutal surprise attack hits home, the Yuan-ti party reacts. The first thing to happen is the snake head man screaming, "Ambush!! Flee!!!" He bolts to the north west. The others, brutalized and badly injured seem to agree with him, the entire group flees in different directions. H5 and H3 have the a backpack each from the prisoners. Since many have to stand, they don't get as far as others.
Ok, everyone's next action.

Sickle sees the group scatter and he reaches his staff up again, and again a thunderous bolt flashes from the sky, striking H3 if they are still in range, plus any one in 5 feet of them.
Using a follow up from my Call Lightning DEX save DC15, or 15 lightning damage, half on success.
Grenk was impressed with how well the ambush was working and then saw that while they were scrambling several had backpacks. If the cubes were in either of them then they may have to assault where ever they were camped out at. Grenk slashed once more at the creature in front of him and then turned to take off after one with a pack and swing at him saying "Drop the pack and you'll live another day."
Attack 1 SB 2: 22 Damage: 9 plus 4 lightning
Attack 2 H5: 20 Damage: 8 plus 6 lightning
I understand that this movement may cause AoO, should one hit he'll utilize his stone endurance reducing damage by 15

Silas, your silvery bolt flashes through the jungle slamming into the back of the human with the backpack to the north...he stumbles but keeps running, now surrounded in a nimbus of light.
Sickle, the only enemy still in range of your spell is SB2, the long snake creature that slithers past Badger, surprised by his presence but not stopping to think about it.

The wizard points both his bound hands towards H3, a human male, topless, with a jade necklace and sarong made of blue green fabric, with a blade at his side and bow on his back, who glances back with his yellow snake eyes, and shouts, "My backpack, don't let him get away!!"
