I forgot one thing. As you approach the doors to the shrine, the Chwinga on Sickle's shoulder hops to it's feet, and then leaps off Sickle's shoulder, gently drifting to the ground. It then skips over to a small rock next to the path in, and sits down. It appears to be waiting patiently.
Inside, Mal scouts ahead, with a rope tied around her. The rest of the group follows. For now I'm using this as marching order, if you want to adjust let me know :

The passage curves around to the right and then a tight turn and then Mal stops. There is a wide flagstone in the center of the hallway that clearly moves, and a long slit in the ceiling concealed by tatters of fabric that holds a swinging axe blade. The hallway here seems to be a dead end. Stepping around the trap the group searches the end of the passage but finds nothing, so they head back and go right. It goes right, then left then splits left or right. Mal turns left. It turns left, then right, then right, then splits left or right again. Mal turns left. It turns left then she again spots another trap, similar to the last, and a dead end. A quick search turns up nothing so you go back and go right. It goes left and then there is a large heavy wooden door on the right. Mal examines it quickly but it appears to be unlocked, and have no traps, so she pushes it open. Inside is a room twenty feet long and ten feet wide. On the far side is another similar door. A shaft of natural light spills from a tiny hole in the ceiling onto a carved stone pedestal. An ornate stone cube rests on its surface.

"Can someone check for traps?" Silas ask as he moves his light spelled war hammer around to try and illuminate the darker areas of the room, "Because I think that is what we seek and something must have keep it there all this time,"

A spectral hand appears near the pedestal and plucks the cube from its perch. Everyone holds their breath for a moment. For some reason you expect to see the pedestal begin to lower and the building to start to collapse. Visions of trying to outrun a giant boulder flash before your eyes. There may be an army of natives and an arch nemesis outside to steal the cube from you...
But nothing happens.
The room is silent and quiet as the cube drifts across the room being clasped by a magic hand, and dropped into the waiting grasp of Badger.
It weighs about half a pound, is three inches on each side, with five of its sides being coated in a light layer of dust. Each side has a carving of I'jin, a horned rabbit. Magical tingles in Badgers hand as he holds the cube.
A quick look around reveals that the maze also leads to the other door on the other side of the room, with no difference. Several other axe traps are found but you avoid them easily. All said and done the group emerges from the temple thirty minutes later. It's still light out, late afternoon. The heat outside is like a wall after the gentle cool still air inside. The Chwinga stands up, brushes itself off, and waits for Sickle to get near before clambering up his leg, side, and back, his little hands and feet tickling as they clutch onto clothing and finds its way onto his shoulder, where it inspects it's braid for a few moments before sitting down with one hand on it.
With one cube in your possession, you return to picking through the massive ruins of Omu, crossing the street and continuing south.
You move through alley's, streets, and in and out of ruined buildings of all manner. Some were clearly ancient homes, but others were places of business, or worship, or of government. You are creeping through one such large building, the crumbled limestone all around, a three story building with a large foyer that reaches all the way to the ceiling, revealing balconys from the two floors above, a skylight above long ago smashed and broken and now only a round hole. The foyer itself is filled with creeping vines and a couple large bushes of prickles. Like many other ruins you progress carefully, but some movement makes you all pause.
You hear a sound, like a quiet and deep rumble from behind a bush you see a cat. It's large, the size of a couch...and from all around its shoulders are a dozen green vipers, all hissing and weaving in and out. Before you can move the cat exhales into the group, and a green mist washes across everyone. As a spike of adrenalin rushes into your bodies and people react to the sudden danger from behind another creature that was hidden exhales and more mist fills the air.
Everyone make two DC 12 CON saves (except Mandra since you're immune to poison).
