(OOC: is the party leaving the gold and equipment they found behind?)
@The Party, The party leaves the ruins of Thundertree and start heading out of the ruins to the Northwest, the direction the Orcs were fleeing. Once the party is a decent distance from the ruins you find a quiet place to catch your breath (OOC: short rest. let me know if you are spending a hit die to heal.) The short rest serves as a good excuse to have lunch. (OOC: mark off a ration, or give me a survival roll if you wish to attempt to hunt something to eat.) After an hour of resting and eating the party continues on their journey.
@The Party, (OOC: unrelated to anything above, give me a perception or survival check.)
(OOC: date July 31st. time 12:40 p.m.)

Thok survival to hunt game 8 plus he's a Wanderer
Feature: Wanderer
You have an excellent memory for maps and geography, and you can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around you. In addition, you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth.
@ the party, Thok and Syl manage to find enough food for the party to eat for lunch, plus some left overs to supplement another meal. Its an assortment of small animals, berries and eatable plants. (OOC: so no one had to mark off one of their rations.) After the short rest and lunch the party tries to hunt down the fleeing Orcs, as well as their camp. Casmir and Thok take the lead in searching for the Orc camp. Once they find and point out the camp the party notices, The faint smell of smoke hangs on the air as you ascend a rugged ridge on the lower slopes of the hill. Fifty yards away, a cave mouth opens up at the bottom of a ravine. Hunkered down by a boulder twenty yards outside the cave, keeping watch, is a single orc.
@ the party, (OOC: what do you do?)

"Looks like there's only one sentry" Casmir tells the party. "If we manage to kill it silently we will have the advantage of surprise attacking the ones inside" And after a pause, "Or, we will be able to take a peek inside. What is there's hundreds of them in there?"
“Why would they leave hundreds back from the battle?”Stannic wonders to Casmir. “Maybe he is guarding something they gathered from their raids. Maybe we can distract him to get a closer look.”Stannic creates the sound of a small animal on the far side of the cave entrance from the party, hoping the Orc will move to investigate.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“No need to go rattling around in that armor of yours, I will go” Stannic gives Casmir a small smile and wild shapes into a wolf with bright green eyes. He lopes off toward the cave, trying to remain out of sight. He stops at the entrance and tries to determine what is inside using sight and smell.
@Stannic, You quickly and easily transform into a wolf. As you approach the cave you do not feel confident in how you are sneaking up to the cave. The Orc that was guarding the cave seems to be focused on locating the origin of the noise from the druidcraft, but is frustrated which harms his search and preventing him from noticing you. You are aware that this can change soon. You get a good look inside the cave. You can spot six orcs and an ogre. Most of the orcs are sleeping or eating, not paying attention to anyone other than themselves. Among the orcs is a noticeably larger orc. This is likely a raid leader. You also see a collection of treasure. This is likely things the orcs have plundered from the towns and villages in the region. As you are looking, you become very aware that the orc raid leader notices you instantly and stares right at you. The ogre who is more aware of his surroundings than the orcs sees this and also notices you at the entrance of the cave.

Stannic peers into the cave mouth and as soon as he realizes that he has been seen, he sounds a small, plaintive whine. Turning quickly, he flees back through the underbrush and over the small rise to his friends, trying to take a longer route in case anyone spots him flee. He changes back to his normal form and breathlessly shares what he saw with his companions. “A half dozen Orcs, looks like a raiding party. They have an ogre with them. What now?”
"Guess we do what we came her for" Casmir says. "But I don't like the idea of being in a cave with an ogre, can we try to draw them out? Maybe if we shoot the sentry while I run there all noisy, I can block the exit and handle just one or 2 at a time?"
(OOC: what do we do with Gimble, anyone want to run him?)
