Plaugg hands the money to Grumm with a smile “Well it never hurts to ask!”

He heads out with the group

“Well hello,” says Gimble. “I have some used leather armor that I was hoping to trade in for a couple more daggers. I had a run in with some Goblins and realized I need some more weapons on my side.”

@ Gimble, Linene: (to Gimble) "Can't be too careful. That being the service i provide. Trading in the leather armor, i can give you 2 daggers and a single gold coin."

@ Gerrack, Plaugg, Branch, Gniff, Edmond, Elmar: (to Plaugg) "I suppose not." He collects the money and then gives Plaugg his rations.

@ Misty, You complete your spell (over the hour or sooner if the party returns sooner than an hour) and your familiar is before you with his new name.

(OOC: party locations: Gimble is at the Lionshield Coster, a high quality weapon and armor shop. Gerrack, Plaugg, Branch, Gniff, and Edmond are at Barthen's Provisions, a dependable general goods store. Misty is at the Stonehill Inn, the party's Inn of choice.)

Gimble smiles, “Well that’s a blessing thank you so much. My name is Gimble, I didn’t  catch yours.” Gimble hands over the armor and takes the daggers and places them on his person takes the gold piece and pops it in his pocket.

”Those goblins I was talking about, they were in a cave I just helped clear. I was with this real awkward ragtag group. I don’t even know where they came from but I’m telling you some of them were just straight odd. I don’t think a few of them were right in the head, elevator going all the way to the top if you catch my meaning. Anyways we cleared a whole bunch of goblins out didn’t leave a single one breathing and rescued some hostage they had from the palace. A guy by the name of Sildar. Don’t know if you’ve heard of him. And then if that wasn’t enough then we had some run-ins with these red brand bandit folk. Needless to say after clearing the cave of some crazy goblins, rescuing a hostage, laying down some red brand bandits, it’s been an exhausting several days and I am just glad to be back in town. I am glad you were here and that I am able to secure some more protection from you I greatly appreciate it thank you.”

After sending her owl out through the window, Misty puts away her ritual supplies, then heads down to the common area.  She finds a table to wait for the other member's return, or takes a seat with them if they are already there.

@ Gimble, Linene: (to Gimble) "Linene Graywind is my name. Elevator? i'm not sure i understand. I hope you aren't apart of those rude so called adventurers that insulted and threatened to me. If you are you are not welcome here."

@ Gerrack, Plaugg, Branch, Gniff, Edmond, (OOC: read the last post or posts depending on whats relevant to your character.)

@ Misty, You head down to the common room/bar, the place is starting to clear out of the morning crowd but there are still people present. Elsa the barmaid eventually makes her way to your table. Elsa: (to Misty) "Welcome back, can i get you anything."

"Not just yet." Misty says.  "Just waiting for my companions to finish up their errands then get back here to meet up again."

“Well, I don’t quite know who you’re talking about. But since your friendliness is nothing consistent, I’ll take my leave and business elsewhere” Gimble says as he turns and walks towards the door.

He will make his way back to the inn. on his way there he will look around for an easy gold pouch to lift. Making sure not to make a move until he knows where guards are and quick exits that may be needed. If he isn’t confident in his mark, he’ll simply move on.

Gniff hands over the money to the tender and smiles as he stuffs his new things into his pack. "You have been so helpful, thank you so much!" He waits for his compatriots to finish up, "We should meet up again with everyone at the inn and have a nice hot cider! We can talk about the many things we can do next."

@ Gimble, Gimble leaves the Lionshield Coster, as you travel back to the inn, plenty of people on the streets. plenty of those people definitely have the jingling of gold. A problem being that there is too many guards for you to be confident that you would be sneaky enough to get the gold pouches or pursues of any of these marks. You make your way into the Stonehill Inn, You see Misty coming down the stairs and then sitting at one of the tables.

@ Gerrack, Plaugg, Branch, Gniff, Edmond, Ander sees Edmond. Ander: (to Edmond) "Hey your the guy from earlier. did you change your mind? I'll go collect up that stuff." Elmar: (to Everyone) "Yeah he and his friends are an adventuring group. they are taking care of the goblin problem, and being very good customers." Elmar turns back to Edmond "Paper is a touch more expensive than parchment. A bottle of ink is 10 gold pieces, a writing quill will cost you 2 copper pieces. paper will cost you 2 silver pieces where as parchment is a single silver piece. The envelope will be another silver piece. Will you be needing some wax for a wax seal on the letter?" Elmar turns to Gniff "Thank you for the business, come back again."

@ Misty, Elsa: (to Misty) "Incase you were wondering, Mr. Greenspear left not too long after your group did." Elsa then goes to another table. You then see Gimble walk through the door of the Inn.

Gimble waves at Misty. “Hey, we should talk.” Gimble pulls up a seat at one of the tables that would large enough for the others returning. He pulls out the clockwork frog and his Tinkers tools and begins to do the finishing touches on it.  When Misty sits he just gets right to the point, almost abruptly. 

“So, I have another job offer for us. It’s a hefty reward involving more goblins and a fortress. It could be risky but it will pay out well if we succeed.” Pausing from his work to look at Misty, “how was your shopping?”

Ah, yes Ander, that will be splendid :)  Some wax for seal, yes.  Here you go.

Edmond place 11 gold and 5 silver on the counter.  When Ander returns Edmond asks him - Have you heard anything of the bandits known as the Red Brand?

"A goblin fortress could be a good option for us." Misty says, considering that it was goblins that took Greg's boss, so the fortress might be a good place to look for him.  "Will have to see if anyone has found out anything about the bandit hideout, and decide which of those two we should look into more first." She shrugs then at Gimble's question about shopping.  "We did sell the gear, so here is your cut of that." She hands over the money if he didn't get it already.  "I also bought my magical supplies, so should be good there for a while."

“Awesome. I had to grab a bedroll because sleeping out there without one, wasn’t fun. And I got some equipment to finish this frog. (Gimble holds up the clockwork device) How’s it look?” He asks with a hopeful smile. 

“And I agree with you on the fortress or bandits. But I think two things, first, the goblins are the ones that most likely have this Rockseeker fella, sorry I don’t actually remember the guys name. And second, if we do look into taking care of the bandits I feel we shouldn’t go at it alone, we should look into doing it through proper channels or not at all.” Gimble pauses fidgeting with the frog again.

”See the guy that gave me the job with the goblins, would rather us not mess with the bandits at all and just let the law take care of it. He’s not one of them, but it doesn’t work in his interests I think, if it’s not done through proper channels. Hence, maybe we can get an official job by someone in authority here before we do that. I don’t like to burn bridges where I don’t have to, I’d rather make them stronger.”

@ Gimble, Misty, Gimble, You complete your version of the frog statue. looks just like it, except its made of wood and metal instead of jade. (OOC: and whatever else you wanted to put into the design.)

@ Gerrack, Plaugg, Branch, Gniff, Edmond, Ander brings the supplies and Elmar collects up the money. Elmar: (to Edmond) "the wax will cost you 4 silver." 

(OOC: quests and quest thread update: completed quest needing turn in/reward: cleared goblin cave report it to someone in the city. Gniff has the directions/locations for the three locations to report. the three locations are City Hall, the City Guard Barracks, and Emberhorn Palace. [reward: ???] 1/main quest: Find Gundren Rockseeker for Greg Greenspear. Gundren's location is likely at the Goblin Castle or the Goblin Castle is the best place to look for that information. [reward: 600 gold from Mr. Chin]  2/secondary quest: Sildar wants the party to find the Red Brand Bandit base and wipe them out. Sildar would appreciate it if the party brought him along when the party takes out the bandits. Mr. Chin told Gimble to let the authorities to take care of the bandits. Greg told the party he heard that Carp Alderleaf might know where the Red Brand Bandit base is. [reward: 200 gold from Sildar.] 3/secondary quest: The Princess' Steward wants the Orc Raiders who have been raiding the towns north of the capital to be wiped out. He will reward anyone who brings back proof of their destruction [reward: 100 gold from Harbin Wester the Princess' Steward] 4/side quest: Try joining the Fists of Justice Adventuring Guild [reward: Fists of Justice membership] 5/side quest: Investigate Thornton's Shop and Exchange [reward: ???] 6/side quest: Investigate Sister Garaele [reward: ???] 7/side quest: Find out if Daran Edermath was a former adventurer and ask for help [reward: ???] 8/side quest: Bring the lionshield coster's crates to the lionshield coster shop. this quest has grown increasingly difficult due to the party's poor reputation. [reward: 50 gold per crate] Alternative: tell other interested people about the lionshield coster crates location. Alternative 2: Investigate Linene Graywind for possible Red Brand Bandit connection. 

(OOC 2: Sildar is using his connections and former rank to gather information for the main and secondary quests. Greg left the Stonehill Inn for an unknown reason. Mr. Chin was last seen at the Sleeping Giant Tap House.)

 (OOC: haha, i meant about appearance. i might allow it to be a lighter, but it will not shoot fire as a projectile. not yet at any rate. to get that you would have to work on it for a while.)

 It as like a gun. I only meant it to be as a fire starter for campfires. Just wasted to add the eyes for effect.
