"Very well, will be back in an hour to load you back up in the wagon and take you back to town. Since you have been cooperative I will try to plead for a reduced sentence. Alright everyone, take a break and meet at the wagon in an hour. Marlo would you please give the man a meal before we take him in," he says locking the wizard in the cell. Orgen goes into his room to inspect the armor and sword that the grab early cleaning them up and looking at them to appraise their worth.
(Orgen is a smith I don't know if that would help to see if the weapons and armor have special properties or not.)
They are just normal weapons and armor, nothing magical. You can tell magical just by touching them.
Quilla calls a meeting in the conference room once you are done talking with the prisoner...
"From what Belle has been telling me, things went better this time at the haunted house." Quilla says, nodding to where Belle is sitting at the table. "Though it sounds like you did not complete the full exploration of the place..." She frowns at this but shrugs. "Hopefully you were able to learn what is needed to fulfill our contract from the prisoner..."
At this point a new person walks into the room, interrupting Quilla, who frowns at him, but then nods to a chair. "This is our new recruit, since Grahl had to leave suddenly.
Durlin, the vigalante steps into the room. He is an unusual hobgoblin with wrinkles of age on his skin, and has greying dark black hair but seems to have no other physical deterioration and has a light step, carrying himself strongly. He is wearing a large crossbow on his back and a coiled whip as well.
"Ready to serve some justice, after hearing about you adventurers", he says after sitting down.
Sorry for the delay, I didn't realize I was in this right now
"Hello." Belle says. She is a ray of sunshine in the group, cute and innocent-looking. She gives you a smile as she greets you. "I think that we are here to decide what the next step is." She says, glancing to Quilla. "We can go back to the haunted house and do more looking around there, maybe take the smuggler leader to the town for justice, or do something else." She glances to the others around the table. "Anyone have an idea of what we should do next?"
"Sounds like a good plan, just make sure not to mention me. I am wanted in many towns, and don't want my face recognized" Durlin agrees as he puts on a hat, and covers his lower face with a cloth
Lupin (Redskin hobgoblin in carpenter'ish apron) clean on of his hand of some alchemist slug and move to 'fist bump' new co-worker 'Aye me bloodkind. Ye soundz smart. Me hope ye az good with ye little hurt toyz az with da talk'
"Yes, I do declare you might find that I can get myself out of a pinch every now and then" Durlin says with what seems to be a grin under his cloth, at Lupin.
Orgen nods and says,"Yes it will probably be the best turn the bandit in. Afterward, we could go back to the house and try to extract the goods they were smuggling and bring them back to town. Or we could use them to open official trade channels between the guild and the lizardfolk."
Alek greets the newcomer with a curt nod before speaking, "Let's get him to the authorities. They'll want a word with him aswell I presume." He chuckled for a moment,"But maybe we should take another turn at him while we still have him. We could try to froce him to give up the location of his associates."
(Let's pause this until we can determine who is in and who is out. I have a good amount of people who have posted in the recruitment forum, so we can put together a team here once we know who is staying and who is not.)
"Well, there seems to have been quite an uproar at HQ lately." Quilla says as she takes int he group of you around hte conference table in the tower. Everyone new has just arrived via the magic room at Head Office and walked into the tower from there. "Seems that quite a few of our franchise were called to toher duties, and we have been sent replacements." She does not seem pleased or displeased by this fact.
Belle sits at her side, no longer wearing the secretarian amulet around her neck, but giving everyone a sunshine-bright smile of welcome as you enter. She is a cute-as-a-button woman with chocolate-colored hair and a cuteness that is hard to look away from.
(Everyone please intro your characters, including those who are part of the original group. We'll start up from here and get things moving again.)
A slender, though toned wood elf enters the room with a swagger, his hands a little bruised, his long hair tied dark hair brushed back. His leather armor and shirt shift a little, almost revealing a portion of a tattoo written in the orc tongue. His green eyes scan the room, nodding at everyone in there. He pats his sides, hoping to find his small book and parchment. "Now where did I put that lorebook. Those trolls kids must have taken it." As he searches his person, a brown-haired wolf enters the room, carrying the notebook in his mouth. He drops it next to the elf and shakes his head.
The elf smiles and brushes his friend's fur, "Cheddar, thank you for finding this. You're the best partner a ranger could ask for." He places the notebook at his side and nods to everyone. "Hello, my name is Ash and this my partner Cheddar."
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Feanaro sits in one of the chairs, his hands folded in front of him. He is dressed in very well done robes over which is a finely crafter cuirass of studded leather. His fingers show signs of hardened skin, easily noticeable as workers hands. Along his left torso is a bandolier of sorts that houses several wands from his left breast down to his hip.
He is clearly a High Elf, his shoulder length black hair is tied back along the crown, letting the lower half hang free. He seems calm but pleasant.
"Greetings, you may call me Carver. I am happy to be among your company and look forward to working with all of you. I am tasked as the local Obviator but I assure you that it will not deter our friendship, if we come to that. I only want what is best for all of us."
A well-built human of average height strides into the room. He moves with the fluid grace of a well-trained fighter. He is armored in chain with a shield and great axe on his back and a smaller battle-axe at his side. His equipment and the clothes you see are of excellent quality and well maintained.
Hard, brown eyes peer out from beneath close-cropped black hair, framing a face naturally tan. He surveys the room professionally, his expression guarded. After a moment, he smiles and while his expression remains guarded the smile definitely touches his eyes.
”Greetings. My name is Rober d’Arcon of the House of d’Arcon. I have the honor to be the new Occultant for this team. As I am new to the position, I beg the favor of your indulgence as I become accustomed to my duties.”
With a nod, Rober moves into the room and takes up a position which allows him keep everyone, and all the ways in and out, in view.
The Hobgoblin with wrinkles and grey hair and a large crossbow by his side, grins and remarks "nice to see more of a group.", and shifts in his seat slightly.
A tall, powerfully built human wearing well worn traveling cloths and carrying an enormous spear scans the group. You notice that he keeps the hood of his cloak raised even indoors. Presently he lowers the cloak revealing a head entirely covered in scars. They look natural, not ritualistic and certainly not decorative.
“Sorry, I find the hood makes it easier for most people, but since we will be working together...”
”I am Hector Mankiller. It is a name I earned, neither a source of pride or shame. I have been contracted to be the decisionist of this team. I hope that my spear and our wisdom (he touches a large stone at his throat) will serve this team well.”
A human man with dead looking eyes and in common attire with a backpack with many map holders on his back. He holds no weapons that are visible on them and walks with a gait that holds balance. He glances around the room noting each of the party members, but stares a little at the hobgoblin in almost scarred surprise
He says “My name is Alex and I am your cartographer and if you all want to go to that haunted house of yours then allow me to map out this journey.”
