"Maybe it wants someone to cast speak with dead" Walt would add after watching his companions play with the corpse. "I'd do it but I didn't think I would be talking to any corpses today.. my goal is to keep you all from turning into them after all..." The old cleric would say as he examined the skeleton.
"I dont think we need to take a long rest just so we can chat with some skull. Why dont you just being the head with us and the next time we take a rest I'll see what I can do about talking with that thing." Walt would finish before heading towards the next room. "until then, let's keep moving."
Moving on, after Donkee grabs the skull, you travel for a bit further in the connected halls, then move on into what looks to be a dead-end hallway.
Dead Goblin. A dead goblin lies on the floor.
Tools. Three pickaxes and two shovels rest atop piles of rubble at the mouth of a 5-foot-wide, 5-foot-high tunnel that meanders through collapsed stone.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
[OOC: does the collapsed rock reach all the way to the ceiling?]
"Now I'm not against diggin, but mebbe we oughta try to take a diffrent tunnel. It could take day to dig through this mess without some strong earth magic." Ellya says this while she taps some of the rocks of the apparent cave-in to determine how hard they are. She also inspects the nearby stone to try to find out how sturdy this tunnel is or if it is likely to cave-in again.
"I say we leave what is left of that tunnel alone. There is plenty more to explore without spending the day digging." Walt would say as he reaches down and picks up a pickaxe. He would then take the tool and strap it to his pack. "I vote we leave it.. but if enough of you think we should explore this dirt hole than we can hold a vote if you wish." Walt would add as he crosses his armored arms and looks to the group.
"I am a tall old man wearing heavy armor" Walt would reply. "The thought of being bent over and crouching my way through a crumbling tunnel with very little space to move to avoid threats seems like a dangerous and painful idea.... not to mention potentially deadly" The old cleric would say pointing to the dead goblin. "My back and knees hurt just thinking about it... but if you think we need to map out this tunnel along with the rest of this place, than I will go first.. but for the record I cast two votes against the idea" The old cleric would say with a look of concern on his hard face as he looks into the tunnel.

There is a path through the fallen stone, already dug.
“Well no problem. It doesn’t seem to go that far anyways. Donkee see if ya goblin friend knows what they were diggin for, or better yet where the boss is (if it’s not one of those we killed) cuz there may be more loot ahead.”

"Only path to stairs." Grunt says with a shrug. "Big boss near stairs." He nods to the tunnel. "Big boss make dig, so connect here to stairs watch post."

The wall seems pretty much as you would expect, nicely detailed and of good workmanship.

You get the feeling that is correct.
What do you do now? Stay around to cast it or continue onward?

Mache turns invisible and stay a bit ahead of Walt. Secundus will try whispering to the wall, using the smattering of demonic he knows.
"Hello wall, I am talking to you. Is there anything you want me to know?"

The wall stays stoicly silent.

Donkee will rifle through the dead goblins pockets...you know, looking for ID..

“Don’t ya at least want to see how far it meanders? Maybe it’s a complete tunnel and the goblin was killed after the work was done.”

"Him Gitch..." Grunt says with a shrug. "Bosss mad Gitch sleep on watch..."
Donkee can tell the figure was hit over the head by something large and heavy.
Shadowlight would find that the tunnel runs only a short distance before connecting to another chamber.
There is a path through the fallen stone, already dug.
Seems someone already got anything the goblin might have been carrying... His pockets are empty.
