"Maybe home office will know if he was killed, perhaps they can track based on the atunement of our office magic items?" Barithus says while wondering if perhaps he was merely teleported as there were no remains and to his knowledge spells that kill would at least leave dust behind.
Rurik says to Shadowlight, "I think we will wait here for a spell, would ya be a pal, and go abit down the way and see what ya can see. Just stay out of trouble. Come back and let me know what ya find."

Donkee says "We should leave a note for him and move forward, he will catch up quickly I am sure. for all we know he got ported up ahead and is already beating down bad guys and collecting loot"
Well what is Secundus doing? That I think is what everyone is waiting for. Are you going to stay in the empty room or go back through the shimmering doorway? There is literally nothing else in the room...
"Alright... well I assume he is dead... that just goes to show how dangerous this place is.." Walt would say looking to the others. "I bet that mirror would do the same thing if ya poked around it long enough.. now let's go" He would say as he moves out of the room, hoping to continue towards the boss they have been hearing about.
Donkee will draw a note and hand it to Mache (if he is still here) to deliver to Secundus and if Mache is disappeared then he will leave it in the alcove for Secundus to find. as we head forward to smash things and grab loot.
"I say we give it a solid 10 minutes before we continue, this may just be a simple error on his part. However, I agree, because we don't know what has happened to him, we should move on. Bosses to kill, loot to gather, and an end to this madness to find. Shadowlight has not found anything but another natural tunnel further down the way but not much else," Rurik says to the party as he stands and prepares himself to move on.
"I am not a diviner so have no methods to determine his status...I think waiting another ten minutes will do us no harm," Barinthus says as the group deliberates on their missing team member.
If the layout of the hallway is such that pitons can be tapped in anywhere, Ellya will set up a trip wire about 30' ahead of the party's current position. Then she will return to the group, wind up the clockwork music box she has and take a nap while keeping one hand on her Short Sword of Warning.
While Ellya covers their lead Barinthus will take the time to place an alarm spell down along the path they came from, doing so either 30 feet or at the first turn her encounters while making it set for mental. As he does this he summons his owl Artemus to stay with the group so he could be alerted quickly if there was any change of circumstances.
Rurik and Shadowlight settle down for a good meal and rest.
"So does anyone think we should have a plan? Or is there even a way for us to plan? Tis a nice tune, that box is playin. Wonder where she got such a contraption."

Walt had decided to find a place to sit... waiting to see if he returns.
With her Shortsword of Warning in one hand and the 5' pole in the other, Ellya starts to examine the entrance/exit of the room for anything unusual.

Ellya does not notice anything different about the entrance to the alcove.
The mastiff goes a bit down the hall, then comes to a natural tunnel again, following that a short distance before returning to Rurik.
If Secundus is not there, and if Mache is still there, he will suggest to the rest of the party that they leave Secundus to fend for himself.

Donkee says " time for lunch break then. ..Here Grunt have a jerky sanwich" and he takes his rabbit helmet off and sits down to eat
Ok, so group is waiting for ten minutes. Want to take a short rest and make it an hour? It is easily lunch time by this point...
Secundus, please tell me what you are doing?
If Secundus can figure out where he is, he will get back to the team. Otherwise, he will try to re-summon Mache to help him figure out where he is.

Secundus reappears in the alcove a few minutes after you all set up camp.
(All you had to do was step into the misty doorway, so you do so...)
