Arturan heads over to his mechanical dragon. He will scoop the dragon up and place it on his shoulders.
"Well that was certainly a bit exciting."
Arturan scratches the mechanical dragon's chin and tells him,
"You did well Caeric."
He will turn to everyone.
"Greetings I'm Arturan and I will be joining you starting today as Occultant. If you have any needs with crafting or building please let me know. Is it always like this with all the danger?"
“Well as far as danger goes, I’d say by the simple fact that you being here to replace and check up on us kinda answers your question. As far as what we’re here for,” and Rurik brings out the Whisper Jar and he activated it to play back.
”Here was some of our first meeting.”
"Ah, the adventurers..." He says with a smile for you all. "Please come in, we do not have much time to discuss this, since I need to be at my next meeting shortly." he then turns to Izzerazz. "Izzerazz, please go ahead and get the next group set up in conference room K." "Yes father." Izzerazz says and gives him a kirtsy before giving the group a friendly nod and turning to walk away. The man frowns at the door, but does not say anything more as it closes. "Now please hold your questions until after I have made my pitch." The man said with a grin at anyone who was looking to be about to speak. He gestures the group to the table, where you can sit or not. he takes his seat again, opening up a folder on the table. "Firs off, my name is amarondor. I have need of a group like yourselves to take care of some items I have been made aware of." he said to start off things, looking through his folder for a moment before closing and looking at you all again. "We need a group of adventurers who can tavel into the Mad Mage's domain for us." He says bluntly. "I have other work if you do not wish to undertake this, but I feel you would be a good group to do this work for me." He pauses as he lets you all consider it. "No matter if you do this, or a different mission, we will provide transportation to the area (if appropriate,) and will pay you a daily wage, with extra compensation based on hazards you needed to overcome while working for us." He pulls a final set of papers from his folder. "These are contracts, as much for your protection as for mine..." He lays them out on the table. "This gives you the right to work in the name of The Company of the Dragon in which ever region you end up checking out for us." He explains as you look over the contract, or do not in some cases. "To start you will recieve a daily wage of 1 gold, a headquarters in the region, and a majordomo to help run your franchise. You will recieve hazard pay for any hazard you face while employed and working on a Company of the Dragon project." He informs the group, the words sounding much-rehearsed. "If you undertake scouting out the Mad Mage domain for us you will use this headquarters here as your base of opperations though. Izzerazz will work as your majordomo." He pauses as everyone is given a moment to consider everything. "Being part of my company, you will be expected to provide revenue, and to expand your franchise in the given region. There will be dues you need to pay every month, which are all detailed in the contract."
“Now, let me find it, ah yeah, here we go. This is a spot about some of the more specific details.”
"Let's see..." Taman says, glancing through the folder, which appears to have a decent amount of pages inside of it as he pages through. After going through it once he returns to the first. He then reads the below from the pages, clearly editing out legal speak so that it will be easier for the rest of you to understand...
Who: Obaya Uday What: Offers to pay for any unwanted magic items found in Undermountain. Payment: Pays the following for magic items: Common - 10 pp, Uncommon - 50 pp, Rare - 500 pp, Very rare - 5,000 pp pays the following for spellbook based on the highest-level spell contained in it: 5 pp for 1st level, 25 pp for 2nd or 3rd level, 100 pp for 4th or 5th level, 250 pp for 6th or 7th level, and 500 pp for 8th or 9th level. Restraints: Limit 7,500 pp worth of magic items and spellbooks.
Who: Mattrim Mereg, known as Threestrings What: Needs a pouch of gold delivered to a female half-drow named Cal’al Claddani, who runs a tavern called the Flagon and the Dragon in Skullport. Details: pouch contains three moonstones worth 50 gp each. Payment: A favor from House Rosznar.
Who: Volothamp Geddarm Details: This story dates to the fall of Illefarn, an elven kingdom of the North. An alabaster throne belonging to Syglaeth Audark, the last coronal of Illefarn, disappeared from the capital city of Aelinthaldaar, where the Mad Mage built his tower and today stands Waterdeep. It’s said that a group of dwarves feared the destruction of such a miraculous work of stonecraft and stole the throne right out from under the elves’ slender noses. Where the dwarves hid it for so long, who knows? But should you find it in Undermountain, it would please the elves of the North to know it survives. Payment: (Blank) Documancer Notes: Head Office wished this contract signed, even though no payment was specified. I strongly disagreed, but here we are. Post Note: Previous documancer is now working in the Topkin Franchise office as general labor. We will move forward with this in all speed.
Taman sets the folder aside with a nod. "Guess we can all guess what happened to that last documancer huh?" He asked with a chuckle. "Never write down anything that goes against Head Office I've heard..."
“Honestly thinking, this may have been a bit more difficult than those other fellows could handle. Glad you were able to make it. Now, I’d have to give it some serious thought though if we’ve actually completed any of these at this point. It in its simplest, we’re in need of mapping this place, gettin to the other side, and tryin to do these theming along the way. Any questions?”
Iggy drops the concentration on his dragons breath, he coughs and a little snow falls to the ground at his feet as the spell fades. "Hey new dudes. I'm Iggy, I'm a nature-magic, weird-magic fella. I don't have a position in your adventure business thingy, but do you like, need a hot secretary or something? Cause I can almost write my own name in TWO languages and people like, like to hear what I say and stuff." He smiles, wide, and nods.

Iggy looks all the gold strewn around on the floor. "Whoa. I'm glad I joined up with you guys, I can buy a whole lot of stuff with this." (Iggy has no further plans for this room)

The tunnel you are in is a zig-zag affair. It was probably designed to thwart ranged attacks. At the very end is another door.
Let me know what you do next...
Rurik looks around. And then he says “well if we’re all seem to be in order, then how about we get moving I’m sure somebody may have heard that ruckus we might want to move from here quicker and sooner than later.”
Stigr will nod and start to move down the hall, "There's a door at the end, let's see what's on the other side."
After traversing the zig-zag hall you come up to a door that is cracked open. Inside you find a small guard room with no other exits apparent.
On the floor of the room is scattered...
700 CP
6000 SP
2300 GP
90 PP

Gold ring set with bloodstones (250 GP)
Large gold bracelet (250 GP)
set of 4 Brass mugs with jade inlay (250 GP each)
Bronze crown (250 GP)
and a
bag of holding
Does anyone have a passive perception score greater than 20?
Maximus whispers out, "Thank you My Lady for providing." as he goes on and starts to collect the money and place it in the bag.
(PP 15 here)
Stigr will look over the small hoard before remembering his new role, "Right, hoardsperson, this is a hoard, I suppose I should start gathering it. We can split it up later." He'll gather all the coin and valuables into the bag of holding, after first turning it inside out to make sure nothing was in it already.
“A dead end. Lucky pot at the end of da rainbow? Shadowlight, smell or hear anything?” Rurik asks the mastiff.
Shadowlight Perception 6
The mastiff has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Rurik Perception 7
”Yeah, I didn’t think so...shall we go back the other way?”
Samantha is going to search the room for any additional items.
Perception 14
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Neither Rurik/Shadowlight or Samantha find anything else in the room.
Anyone else doing anything here?
Iggy looks all the gold strewn around on the floor. "Whoa. I'm glad I joined up with you guys, I can buy a whole lot of stuff with this."
