“I think we head in the direction they tried to run. Does anyone need a chance to take a breather or sew up a few cuts?” Grim says quietly, and his eyes are already looking in the direction the lizards started to run.
Tamoda, you can see the claw marks on branches up above you, and you are able to make out a rudimentary path, albeit one harder to follow from the ground. So focused on the path above in fact, you stumble down a steep bank into a large clearing, one that depresses downward further in the center, with large trees holding walls of dirt up around the eastern half of the circumference of this depression. And at the lowest point of it? A cave mouth, large and lined with moss.
Thasla looks inside her pack for a bit, then frowns. "Do any of you have a rope we could use to climb down or get Tamoda up, as well as a hammer and pitons to secure it?"
Tamoda stands up to his full height of 73 inches. To the others it appears as though Tamoda's head was sitting upright on the ground with the rest of him nowhere to be seen.
It's all right fellows. No climbing required. This here is shallow, with lots of soil and plants and moss. I'm thinking this is the lair of the beastie.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sihnion follows behind Grim, tense in expectation of encountering the beast that surely lay within. "Always assuming it's in its lair. We must be wary of being jumped by it from behind."
The cave tunnel goes on down for some distance, with curves and turns that prevent you from seeing all the way down, the rough rock walls covered in patches of moss, some even bio-luminescent. the floor of the tunnel is clear of such growth, and well worn, although not by humanoid feet.
Tamoda accidentaly kicks loose a rock near the cave entrance, which clatters and bounces it's way down the tunnel, echoing as it goes.
Tamoda to the group - All that moss, there's gotta be water close by... and it's concealed out in plain sight, if you takes my meaning... Do we go in, or eat lunch first?

So are you taking the rest? If not, I assume you're heading west?
(Go West) Life is peaceful there
(Go West) In the open air
(Go West) Where the skies are blue
(Go West) This is what we're gonna do
Grim sees no response and starts leading them West.

Tamoda calls up - Guys, I think I found something.
“Are you alright, Tamoda?”

(That shallow? What is it with this campaign and me speaking too soon? First the severed foot, then following the lizards, now this. Yeesh.) :p
Thasla makes her way down the slope to where Tamoda is, looking inside the cave with darkvision.
Grim uses his shield for cover and advances on the cave, slowly and quietly. “Let’s see if we can get the jump on this booger.”

Grim gives Tamoda a thoughtful look, looks around at the switchback tunnels, and shakes his head before continuing on.

Thasla moves closer to the front, her shield at the ready.
what's the marching order?
Thasla, Grim, Xandar, Sinhion, Tamoda, Akhota.
Any changes, team?
Seems good to me.
