Opal takes Rik's success as a cue to go for it and starts pulling the other pieces out.
Let's go ahead and roll for sleight of hand for the fun of it: 22. Not to keep the others from seeing him; to perhaps keep from triggering any kind of trap.
Zubin stands back with his weapons at the ready. "You know, if this fellow stays dead, it'll be rather anticlimactic. That's not a complaint," he adds hastily.
Sinsil will stand back. Ready to bless herself and 2 of the party closest to the corpse if it becomes hostile. She'll use her Fateful Naming ability to cast it without spending a spell slot.
Rik will continue to loot, going after the containers at the feet and scattered beads, letting the fast-fingered folk get the big stuff around the head and chest.

Let's roll initiative, but everyone but Opal and Cas have a surprise round as they were all preparing for this.
Larry will utter a word of command "kar'takin" and cause a dual tentacle arm to appear immediately above the corpse, slaping at it. He will again utter a command in the dark toungue "bIr; chuch rur", and a ghostly skeletal hand joins the tentacle, attempting to grab the creature.

Zubin swoops in to attack. With a murmured "pardon me" to the two party members by the casket, he aims a double slash at the seated creature. He gives a little laugh as he spins away, coming to a stop back by the lantern and urn he left sitting on the floor. "You lucked out there, bat boy!" he taunts.
