Zubin Chase
"We're treasure hunters, not exterminators," the half-elf agrees. "See if you can distract it while I check the braziers and urns, then let's fall back." Not waiting for a response, he acts on his plan, falling back towards the urns first. He tries to be thorough despite the sense of urgency.

OOC: How close are the braziers? Are they in the "deep end"?

Shieldbiter looks to the north and then turns and looks to the south. “Well I’d say they both look about the same to me and we got a preference I always feel like going south is somehow like walking downhill.”
The half-elf frowns, disappointed. "Nothing," he reports. "Let's fall back. I'd rather not go for any more unexpected swims. And the tunnel behind that statue went in this direction, too, and may be safer. And more profitable."
Once he has backed to the area by the fountains, Zubin turns and leads the way back to the statue, leaving a trail of wet footprints as his feet squelch in his sodden boots. "My dear enchantrix, would you be so kind as to dry me off?" he asks Sinsil politely. "I'm sure you understand."
As you head back south you find a figure standing in the hall with the statue, the statue once again in its upright position. The figure holds a very familiar-looking battleaxe, one you could not pull free of the wall it was driven into previously.

The figure speaks words in the same language you heard from the crab early on in your time in the temple here. No one can currently understand the language... He does not make any threatening move towards you as of yet though.
Zubin's witty reply is completely lost when the rogue is distracted by the figure in the shadows, and he turns warily. "Were we expecting reinforcements?" he asks, expecting the answer 'no'.
"Hm, that is better." The figure says. "I am Tloques-Popolocas, and have followed you in part due to the items you stole from me, and to determine what your reason for being in my temple is." He says as he looks you over. "I see the slug sent you running though, so wonder as to if you are not just ones I should crush under my foot, instead of talking to as reasonable people." He turns back to Sinsil. "Also, I would like to know why you destroyed my tomb by setting fire to it?"
Shieldbiter seeing this and not expecting more help, thinks of the lady in the water.
“Great another one.” Shieldbiter brings his shield up. He keeps his hand on the hilt of his sword, but does not draw it...yet. Through a snarl and barred teeth Shieldbiter asks, “Sinsil?”
"We are contracted treasure hunters, it is oft when encounter undead and other monstrosity. We were facing some tedium with the slug, but found it more prudent to search the room and leave then to battle the creature. It is our mission to profit monetarily from this derelict temple and would kindly ask you to step aside while we ransack this holy site. If you have nothing else to discuss then we will be taking our leave of you, though we may be in need of additional recruits."

Zubin, as you look in the braziers and urns you find nothing of interest in them.
Are you guys going South or North?

"Fine" sinsil turns back the way they came
“Alright then,” says Shieldbiter staying in the middle to front of the group.

"What now?" She asks the creature.
