●●●- the trail to ice spire hold, just past the star metal hills
You awaken, refreshed and rdy for dragon. You eat a quick meal and begin the trudge up the mountain trail towards destiny and fame. After a few hours of walking you see a strange sight. A large wagon being driven by a bug bear, being pulled by what appears to be 6 domestic pigs. Maybe being pulled is too strong a word, as they are barely budging the wagon, which the back area is covered in a half-dozen that looks like cut in half barrels connected with iron straps and covered in iron spikes. As you are walking at the strange scene the bugbear stands up and seems to point in your direction, you have been spotted. You are approximately 100 feet from the wagon
It was a restless night that Kuori spent in her hastily-made encampment, but not one spent in fear. The Goliath woman could hardly keep herself from grinning almost unnervingly at the thought of finally getting to prove that she was more capable than her elders seemed willing to accept. "To think, I would be doing little more than checking under rocks and behind trees for Orc stragglers or their servants but a week ago, and here I sit, about to make sure no Goliath for miles forgets the 'runt of the litter'...'Tactless'..."
Kuori, of clan Thuliaga, the small mountain of a woman sitting before her relatively minuscule fire spit a muttered curse under her breath as she recalled her most demanding of elders "granting" her this nickname as penance for her less than subtle implications of his incompetence. The resulting grimace soon returned to a smirk, however, as she thought of the glory just outside of her grasp. Before she finally sets herself to rest, she offers a common prayer to Thorm that she learned during her years of service - holding her mark of rank within her closed fist, she places her other hand on her chest and recites the following in a low, grinding speech recognizable to some as the words of Giants:
"Should my life be mine, allow me its use in defense of the defenseless. Should my life be taken, may it have not been in vain. But if my life be yours, I have no doubt in its purpose. Guide my blades as keenly as my outstretched hand. Thorm, the Selfless, Herald of Courage, Symbol of Victory Enduring."
Rising early enough to greet the morning sun as it rises into the boundless sky, Kuori gathers her equipment together and sets forth on her journey toward Ice Spire Hold. Quickly enough, in her mind, she comes across this, the first of untold hindrances that will doubtless lie waiting to force her from her chosen path. The first of many to fall. The bugbear leading its cart notices the staunch form of the Goliath soldier promptly enough, despite being preoccupied with its inefficient beasts of burden.
"You there - the lanky cretin! What business be yours with this 'siege engine' beneath you? Answer, or approach and allow me to procure the answer myself."
Kuori will move forward 30 feet, draw her dual shortswords and adopt a defensive pose.
Action: Kuori takes the Dodge action in anticipation of aggression from the bugbear driver.
The 3rd floor window seems to be about 20-25'. The old shutters are closed, but decrepit and you have no way to know if the window itself is closed, or even of their is intact glass. It is definitely climbable.

The bug bear maneuvers his cart broadside to you and speaks some words in a disgusting sounding language towards you, and then something in goblin you can barely hear. You notice 6 tiny shutters open in the side of the wagon.
War wagon initiative : 16
Bugbear: jumps down from the wagon and appears to have some javelins and begins to move towards you heading on a SW course. He closes the distance to about 45 ft from you and takes a combat posture of sorts.
G1: fires a short bow through the porthole Attack: 7 Damage: 5
G2: shortbow Attack: 15 Damage: 5
G3: shortbow Attack: 21 Damage: 6
G4: shortbow Attack: 7 Damage: 5
G5: shortbow Attack: 24 Damage: 9
G6: shortbow Attack: 24 Damage: 4
( looks like we have a goblin marksman among this crew.)
Suddenly a volley of crudely made arrows fly forth from the wagon, one arrow goes about 15' and sticks in the dirt. All thenarrows but one fly in various ways approximately in your direction, most barely make the distance, one over shots by quite a ways, but one arrow hits home, embedding itself in your side, doubling you over in pain. You feel a strange sensation spread from your wound. Make a constitution check.
After joking a bit about the falling in a pit and talking about the size of the elk that got away, you head back in the dark towards the lodge. Ashes keen elven ears pick sounds of you being followed and soet of giggling dog sort of voice
"Ok skip, the shudders are closed so I can't bamf in to the 3rd floor but it looks climbable so one of us can climb up and try to sneak in or we can try to charge into the front door."
Noa was one to be calm at most times. This night was calmer than most. He had barely felt the drop in temperature, let alone the presence of another being in the vicinity. For one thing: he was certain that his new friends would wake him up seeing as they'd lost so much already. The other thing is... He fell asleep.
"Wha-?" he snored himself awake and got into a fighting stance out of years and years of training. He readied his spear faster than his mind could think and looked around.
"Some context would be a little nice by now." he said.
((Apologies for my absence. Work kinda got in the way but I'm here now.))
(Np) you are about to battle an undead snow maiden. Bree gets first attack, then you and then Perzy'S. But, since it's unlikely anyone will kill it with one wack, you can post your action now and I will tally everything before the maiden gets her attack

(OOC: Did the last two rolls count the disadvantage? I mouseovered them and didn't see the same text as the other four, so I just wanted to check. Don't want to be a pain! In the meantime...)
Kuori nearly falls to one of her knees as one of the goblins' arrows slip through her posture and two of her ribs. Almost instantly, she can feel a sickening pain creeping out from the wound. "Poisoned...little devils, goblins are."She grits her teeth as she tries to move through the pain the toxin is inflicting.
Constitution Saving Throw:17
As she tries to ignore the poison introduced to her system, Kuori plants her feet and rises to her full height as she grips the shaft of the arrow. Her skin seems to become more rigid somehow as she pulls the arrow free, letting forth much less blood than such a wound should warrant.
Reaction - Stone's Endurance: Reduce Damage Dealt by 8
Realizing that having six archers trained on her complicates the situation somewhat, Kuori backs up 15 Feet to be just outside of their ideal firing distance (disadvantage on their ranged attacks unless they move closer) and scans her immediate surroundings for anything that might provide her with cover from the incoming missiles.
If This Cover Exists and is Within Normal Movement Range:
Kuori will move behind this cover and continue to take the Dodge Action.
If The Cover Requires a Dash Action, She Will Do So.
If The Cover Does Not Exist:
Kuori will not move backward at all and will charge forward 30 Feet and once again take the Dodge Action.

Taking a few deep breath to steady her nerves, Yess takes out her bow and fires a warning shot into the floor near the bandits. "Yer odds aren't any better in here, mates. Throw down yer arms and put yer hands up, I'll let you leave here alive"
"Hmm..." Bree says with a sigh. "This is one of those Snow Maidens I think." She cocks her head as if trying to recall something then shrugs. "Can't really remember anything more about them than their name, but undead are not normally nice." She dips a hand into her component pouch and pulls out a bit of fleece. Muttering words of magic, and making a motion with her hand, she casts silent-image
Between the group and the undead, but slightly off to one side, a figure appears. It stands nearly seven feet tall, with buldging muscles and wearing a tunic and britches. The figure is gripping a greataxe in both hands, as it waits in a combat ready pose. (Think of a barbarian human...)

As Skip is told about the window upstairs he would wave the kinfe in front of him. "No time.. we need get in there" He would pause as the sound of an arrow thudding into the floor catches his attention.. "Right now!" He would exclaim. The small halfling would then quickly open the door but not enter the mill. He would poke only his head around the corner before point his glowing spoon into the room. As the light from the spoon illuminates the room he would quickly mutter a phrase in halfling while casting mind sliver at the closest bandit...
Int 13 save or take 6 psychic damage and have disadvantage on their next saving throw until the end of my next turn... (I hope the guy is dumb lol)
( the Last two were not at disadvantage as they had a better angle on you. The disadvantages were mostly to ensure too many didnt hit you right off, lol)
Your powerful ancestry has helped you resist the poison or other substance on the Goblin's arrow and you ar enable to stand up and show them you are still a foe to be reckoned with. You run to a boulder of medium height giving your self 3/4 cover from the archers in the wagon. The bugbear moves to flank your position from an oblique angle, but does not move any closer. It looks at you and then at the wagon several times, like it is considering a plan of some sort.

Red arm saving throw: 20
As you look into the doorway and cast your spell you see the bandit you had shot earlier as he was about to drink a potion of some sort. He gets a sudden look of angst on his face and freezes before he can take a sip. Then he he drops 8in heap, portion spilling onto the floor and his eyes rolled back onto his head. The sound of the bottle gets the attention of the other three red arms. Two head your way and one ( a woman) moves to dash up the stairs.
The woman red arm is heading your way. She will dash and be in the same room as you. If you are still near the stairs you will be in melee range so let me know your position
It seems the other voice you heard are engaging the other red arms so you surmise you are at least fighting on the same side for now.
