Gotch glances up as the scaled figure talks, showing he was paying more attention than he was pretending. with a sigh he turns back to his book. "Wish it were that easy my friend." He says with a glumness to his voice.
(You guys role-play well, but well, we need something exciting now... If you don't know where triboar trail is, read the map I sent you.) https://ufile.io/3wfpiuil (Also this for the dead horses map.)
You've been on the Triboar Trail for about half a day. As you come around a bend, you spot two dead horses sprawled about fifty feet ahead of you, blocking the path. Each has several black-feathered arrows sticking out of it. The woods press close to the trail here, with a steep embankment and dense thickets on either side.
Loraviel stops the wagon, gets up for a better look. She is visibly saddened by the sight of the dead animals. “Ohh nooo. Poor horses...”

Rhogar looks at the scene with trepidation as the group comes to a halt with the road blocked by the corpses of the animals and turning to the other "This doesn't look good keep on your guard I am going to take a look." Making his way forward towards the dead animals he bends down to check and see if he can distinguish what kind of arrows these are and if there is any sign of the riders.

"What is going on?" Gotch asks as the wagon comes to a stop. Hearing the others talking, he climbs out of the wagon by hopping down, his staff in hand and his book tucked away safely now. Moving around the wagon he takes in the scene, not liking what he is finding. He looks around the area for anything out of the normal, other than the dead horses.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rhogar sees that the horses belong to Gundren Rockseeker and Sildar Hallwinter. The saddlebags are looted and there is an empty map case next to the horses.
Four goblins who were hiding in the bushes run out to attack you. They were hiding with advantage, but Rhogar told everyone to be alert so no advantage and their stealth roll is 24 .
(I'm not sure if this is how you use advantage.)
If it is higher than your passive perception you are surprised and lose your first turn. Their initiative roll is 6 . Roll initiative.

"It's a trap!" Kharnyl shouts, running headlong into danger as fast as his short legs could carry him (a bit slower than the taller travellers). He raises his warhammer skyward and begins to quickly chant a dwarvish prayer while using his free hand to draw a rune in the air that seem to leave a glowing trace behind his finger. Nearing the completion of the words, his voice swells and a flash of light emanates from the silver hammer.
A Sacred Flame leaps from the head of Kharnyl's hammer and falls in the place where the goblin stood.

Two goblins charge forwards 30 feet and pull out scimitars to attack, while two others stay right next to them and pull out their bows. Goblins 2 and 4 shoots arrows towards Gotch and Kharnyl: 6 and 22 to hit, 6 and 5 if hit. You realize that they are not very coordinated. Goblins 1 and 3 attack Rhogar and Kharnyl 18 and 19 to hit, 4 and 7 if hit. One of them yelled: "One of us, with the humans! Peacefully!" (Only Gotch understands, so role-play that!) Gotch and Kharnyl both grunted as arrows and scimitars penetrate armor.
Loraviel throws a pebble at Goblin 1! The goblin was unable to dodge it and it barely touched it. It let out a large grunt and the sheer force of the pebble has killed it!
Kharnyl makes a flame descend on Goblin 3! The goblin dodged and rolled a 13 ! It barely dodged! If hit, it deals 3 damage. He rushes forwards.
Gotch stays there, angry at his kins' behavior. (Unless you want to do something like persuade them, I'd edit this post.)
Gotch tries to persuade the goblins and he rolls a 9 against the charisma saving throw of 0. "Latch attacks human, Latch sees you with HUMANS! And no fighting!" (Still only Gotch could hear that)
Gotch then makes everyone think that there is a crate between him and goblins. (What is your spell save DC?). The goblins roll a investigation check of 2 .
Rhogar raises his hammer and shield and get ready. (Is this like preparation or something? Does it do anything combat wise? If it doesn't post and I'll edit this post.)
Rhogar strikes at goblin 3 with his hammer, and the impact threw the goblin off his feet and dealt 6 damage! "Grunt!"
Elias looks around at the goblins (Excluding Gotch unless you want to pvp, then I'll edit this post.), none of them looks as smart as the goblin in his party and so he doesn't cast his Flame. (Still doesn't do anything? I mean you lose your action, just confirm.)
Elias looks at Kharnyl who was dealt 4 damage and heals him for 7.
(Did some roleplaying for you guys, if you don't like it you can change it by telling me.)
(Elias didn't do anything yet, if you had yet to post tell me, I'll edit this post.)
(I might see some interesting chemistry with Gotch and conspiracy theories.)
(OOC: sorry thought the goblins had a surprise round on me since I didn’t notice them but if I have a turn)
Rhogar slow to react in comparison to his part prepares to swing at a near by goblin until a small pebble shots by at alarming speed dropping it cold with a start of surprise he looks back at Loraviel with astonishment then turns to goblin 3 attacking Kharnly and swings his heavy war hammer towards the goblin!

(On her turn) Loraviel is shocked that she was able to down the first Goblin on her first mission so easily. Loraviel throws her pebble at goblin 2, but this time not killing it instantly.
Kharnyl attacks goblin 3, but fails to find a weak spot in his defense and only manages to knock him prone.
Gotch messages the other goblins, but no one else hears him.

This time the map is the same except there is an imaginary crate of 5ft in front of Gotch that the goblins does not discern are imaginary. know are imaginary.
(OOC: it takes an action to do the investigation, so they cannot do anything else that turn... Just so you know. They also need a reason to think that a magical person couldn't just magic up a box, so I am questioning why a bunch of dumb goblins would think to investigate a clearly magical box that appears, since they would have no way to know it was not a real conjured box. Just saying that it doesn't make much sense to give investigation checks by default, unless they have a valid reason to investigate. Plus they cannot attack this round if they investigate.
From the spell details: if a creature uses its action to examine the sound or image, the creature can determine that it is an illusion with a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. If a creature discerns the illusion for what it is, the illusion becomes faint to the creature.)
Gotch casts message Targeting one of the other goblins. He says "This is great and powerful boss. You need run away as fast as you can. I need you to live for big job."
