"Be safe. We'll meet you at the Shrine when we get back, Sister."
When the party is ready, Callie follows Grum out into the streets of Phandalin. When they're out of earshot of anyone, she asks, "...Do you think we'll be able to clear it out? If the undead around Thundertree were so numerous that the entire town had to evacuate or die..." She pauses a moment, a worried look on her face. "...I don't think this will be like the ghosts in that crypt, is all. We've done well so far, so long as we don't give in to overconfidence."
"I think we can take them. The six of us are definitely a force to be reckoned with. Im not sure if they'll still be there after... thirty years? But it's certainly possible and even likely. Also, something about that whole experience with the Redbrands and those skeletons specifically reminded me of something inside myself; I think I can channel radiant energy instead of fire with my crossbow. I know it might sound weird but I can feel this energy within that should give us an edge against undead creatures. Assuming... I can stay with you guys for a while?." Garr had been working up the nerve to ask if he could stay with them, reluctant to go off on his own again.
Callie is caught a little off guard by Garr's question, but she soon gives him a warm smile.
"Of course you can come along, Garr! With how much help you gave us in the hideout, I'm not sure I'd feel quite right going into Thundertree without you by our side. Besides, we need all the help we can get, especially when there's still so much left to do! Goblins, undead," her smile momentarily turns into a look of some disgust, "Phandalin politics... and we still need to find Uncle Gundren!"
"Ehhh, that a-ways I believe."Brandor says nodding up the road a bit. He twists his grip a bit on his quarter-staff in a sign of unease, "I've not tangled with much by the way of undead. I'd just as soon stay away from them. But if we get into too much trouble I imagine we'll have the good sense to save our tails right?"
You all double back to your wagon and oxen. They've been fed by the local stable boy, and the beasts await you obediently, unphased by the recent chaos. As you leave town some take note as you leave with a neutral look but return to their business as usual once again. A light drizzle begins as you set off on the Triboar trail once more.
As you begin down your path to Thundertree please let me know who is driving and who is in the back.
You continue down the familiar path on the way back to Neverwinter, passing the trail to the Cragmaw Hideout that you had cleared previously. Garr hasn't seen this before but spots the trail and the now dried blood amidst the grasses.
Continuing further down the trail proves uneventful, and eventually the sunlight fades leaving you in the shade of night. How much further do you guys travel into the night? Do you power forward or make camp?
"I suggest we make camp soon and keep watches through the night. I'm not sure how much further we have to travel, there's no point running into exhaustion just to get there quicker - it's been thirty years, an extra day isn't going to make much difference."
(OOC: How long will the journey take, out of interest?)
Callie preens once she recognizes the trail that Garr is talking about. "One more cave of misfits that won't be attacking anymore travelers! Regardless, yes, let's keep a steady pace, the roads may be safer than we left them, but that doesn't mean they're safe. I shall take the second watch, if nobody minds."
As it gets dark you pull over into a nice little clearing that looks safe. The grass is still moist from the days earlier drizzle but dry enough now that it's not soaking through the bedrolls and tents.
With 3 Perception checks/night (I think thats what we agreed on?) please make your rolls :)

<Squelch> seems upbeat when he finally gets past hi hangover. <Callie's voice> "Of course you can come along, Garr!"
"I am grateful to you all. Shall we fetch a wagon and leave for Thundertree today or does anyone have more business here in town?"
<Squelch> checks his possessions pocket-by-pocket. <Garr's voice> "...leave for Thundertree today..."
Callie takes a moment to readjust her pack, quiver, and weapons for travel. "I'm ready as ever, does anyone remember where we left the wagon?"
"Ehhh, that a-ways I believe." Brandor says nodding up the road a bit. He twists his grip a bit on his quarter-staff in a sign of unease, "I've not tangled with much by the way of undead. Malth will ride in the back, watching the road intently and occasionally writing observations in a small journal.
Grum will resume his seat driving the cart, hoping that this journey will feature fewer ambushes than their first journey together.

RavenloftAnnihilationCallie retakes her old seat towards the front of the cart, keeping vigil as the wagon rolls forward once more.
<Squelch> perches on top of the wagon, crossbow resting on his lap. He passes the time mimicking bits of random songs mashed together.
(OOC: imagine someone changing the radio station every minute or so.)
Garr sits in the back contently listening to the tunes of the Kenku while remaining vigilant on anything hiding along the tracks
