Grum tries to imitate the tone and pitch of the voice of the last goblin (the one who said "Fine." after being sent around to investigate the rockfall), and will call out in goblin, "Hey, I need two of you to come help me with these rocks - they've slipped again!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
<Squelch> attempts to mimic the voice heard from the chimney. <unknown voice> "Shut up dogs. I eat my food now."He crouches, ready to fire his crossbow.
The hill dwarf resists the urge to rub his forehead after listening to the two 'goblins' make their calls. He crouches and waits close to the edge of the ((passage? not sure exactly where we stopped before this larger chamber)).
Callie watches with growing panic and confusion as <Squelch> and Grum attempt to mask their voices as those of goblins... poorly. Giving both of them one final "What on earth were you thinking?" look, she slips into the nearest nook in the stone she can find and nocks an arrow and gets ready to shoot the first goblin to come around the corner.
(Assuming Bartholemew's previous held action to fire an eldritch blast at the first enemy)
A few seconds pass as you hold your weapons steady, waiting for the chance to strike. Rushing out is a goblin with it's blade drawn in front of him but before he can do anything you all unleash your attacks, nearly all of them missing except for Squelch who nails it right through the chest and eliminates it.
You hear: "Argolor, rargo arga!" Which Grum knows as: 'Enemies, quickly hide!'
"Everyone, go! We outnumber them, and the quicker we kill them, the less chance of raising an alarm." As soon as others move, if they do, Grum will rush out of the passage to the opposite wall, his bow ready to fire if he gets a positive sighting of a goblin. (assuming there's a wall to run to? Basically intending on not going much closer to any goblins yet, but moving out to get as good line of sight of the area as possible, and trying to get his back to a wall if possible?).
The goblins are all fully aware of the group's presence now, so I need everyone to roll Initiative.
(I will try and find a map for this, I have the book and could take a picture but I'm pretty sure I'd be violating DDB policy My versions a bit different from the book anyway)
The wall opposite does not have any cover to hide behind -- you guys are along the side of the cave entrance at the corner of the wall where it bends so the opposite wall just leads into the next chamber. That wall connects to a ridge as the cave opens up which you saw from peeking in earlier to another section above.
(OOC: Ok, no worries about a map. If you can get one that'd be a cool bonus, but fine without. Grum was basically just trying to get out of the passage entrance to get good line of sight, whilst staying back to the wall to make more use of the longbow's range)
(Yeah, since it’s a relatively simple room it’s not really necessary but in future if we have a larger/more complicated map I’ll find one or draw it myself)
