"I will follow the decision of the rest of the group as clearly I have not been wary enough and do not trust my judgement after yesterday," she responds with a slightly solemn tone.
"Words from canoe still stand." Bryn would say simply, ensuring that their supplies are all packed up and accounted for. Her eyes would land on the alchemy hug again. She'd pick it up and whisper 'Fresh water' in druidic to it. The druid would uncork it and attempt to refill their water supply before they head out.

The night in the protected cave did wonder to Cimeri's health - she felt renewed and ready to anything! Cimeri stayed quiet - as situation required, but all her excitement was back. Right now it manifested as a deep curiosity:
"Azaka, you seem very concerned about the Templar's Camp - why is that? What so terrible is waiting us in the Camp Vengeance?"
Azaka shoves you off from the bank; there was no further sign of the brontosaurus or the assassin vine from the day before. “Templars make me uneasy, Purple One, as do any zealots. Men who will die for their god are often stubborn. Men who come to Chult unprepared and allow their first camp to be destroyed are stupid. This means these men are stubborn and stupid. But maybe I am the stupid one, for I have had few dealings with these.” She sweeps her paddle forward. “And I will keep it that way; if we stop there, I will stay outside, with the canoe.”
Two nights pass uneventfully, as you travel closer to Camp Vengeance; no attacks happen on the water or when you’re transporting the canoe on land to pass the waterfalls. This morning is sunny, hot, and like every other day on the river, though now that you’re past the waterfalls, the river is sluggish. Up ahead, some 100 feet, there’s a change in the bank on the eastern side of the river, such that you imagine the river widens significantly, but you can’t see until you’re closer. You hear struggling and splashing in the water in that hidden area, and loud cursing.
"At least this "something" can speak. Though, may be it would be better if it did not", commented Cimeri, taking Chiirk from her shoulder and preparing her darts. Just in case.
"We proceed cautiously," says Azaka quietly, steering the canoe past the point of the bank ahead. The river opens wide off to the right, the eastern side of the river, where a marshy area has formed almost like an oxbow lake off the river. Roughly 150 feet from you, still on the reed-infested bank and surrounded by algae and lily pads, rests a rowboat; ripples emanated from it as a lone figure struggles to move two other inert figures around the boat. The figure falls into the water next to the boat with a weak yell, and drags itself back over the side.
Seeing you, the figure yells out, "Hail! Help! Please! I beg you!"
Azaka slows the canoe but does not make a move to turn it toward or away. "Travellers," she asks quietly, "we stay? We go?"
Bryn would ready herself to be on guard as well. As much as she believes in helping people, she's beginning to lose trust in this jungle quickly and become protective of their supplies. If she can't even trust nature not to turn against her, she knows she'll have trouble trusting man. The druid would be fighting every instinct in her body right now not to allow a low growl start in her throat from the apprehension.
Taman gets a very accurate picture of the situation as you draw closer. Azaka slowly turns the canoe toward the figures at the rowboat, back paddling to slow your approach.
"Please," shouts the figure. "We... I'm stranded! I have only a day or two more to go! I need to reach Camp Vengeance!"
Fulcra whispers, “Slow our approach, dont get too close.” The he shouts, “Well met traveller. How is it you are stranded? Your boat appears functional. Why not row yourself up river. And what fell fate befell your companions there?”
“Hired these to take me upriver, shouts the female; tusks sprout from her bottom lip. “Got stung by wasps... they may be dead now... I can’t row this in this shape...please...help us...”
Fulcra's eyes dark about the party and speaks quietly, "I fail to see how this could be a trap. We've seen no one on the river. They would have to sit here for days playing possum to get a catch. I mean, if they are, then, wow, I suggest we get caught in the trap just to reward them, cause that's some serious effort, and effort like that deserves to be rewarded. Let's help."

[so sorry! Short rest in the cave]
