Since my perception would not of seen anything in the room and i mentioned i would try to help the ones following me. Could i make an athletics check to try and catch Iveta? To perhaps negate some of the damage on her? And on fail maybe split some damage as she might fall on me and not as far?

While spelunking his way down the pit, a new rupture sends a burst of steam toward Nivrell. He releases his grip in surprise and finds opens his eyes to see the ground rushing towards him. He grabs his wrist guard and finds the red button. When he presses it, a small rocket pops out from the tilted panel on the surface and launches into the ground, exploding on impact a huge air bag, onto which Nivrell falls. Looking up, he sees the others following him, clamboring down the pit, when Iveta slips, yelling in fear before landing on the rapidly deflating cushion of air beside Nevrill.
With a sigh he says to her "Whew, that was a close one!"

That's fine. You can cut the damage in half, but do not take any yourself.

As a note, please put your character's name in when doing your initiative checks. It saves me having to look up who is attached to who. Thanks. We are still waiting on a couple initiative rolls, so I will give a bit longer for everyone to get those in. Will move forward later today regardless.

You are at the bottom of the climb, with 3 lightning mephits having come out of their broken units to attack the group. They are all to the North of your position.
(I am not planning on doing a map for this one, so please just let me know what you plan on doing. I will change this if it seems a map is going to be necessary for some reason.)
Sliding off Nivrell's airbag, Iveta pulls her mistletoe sprig from the flowing sleeve of her green-and-white coat. "Doruvati ea Mat'Selesnya," she whispers, "phe morara o soenya." She plunges her hand into the ground. Green and white light twines down her arm and the smell of growth fills the air. The floor around the mephitis roils with vines as she casts entangle.
Each mephit must make a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be restrained while the vines last; they can use their action on their turn to repeat the saving throw.
