With the help of Peri and his crowbar, Gerrard (barely) manages to force open the heavy door.
Rows of empty weapon racks and a dozen or more armor stands indicate that this room was once an armory. Some debris litters the floor, but nothing of value is readily apparent.
A single set of (empty) plate mail springs up and charges Gerrard.
Dragging his stuffed sack over to the others he interrupts Dwal briefly. "Um, Master dwarf....do you think you could take some of these coins? I think there's just too many copper pieces. I can't seem to lift the bag. I.. I'm right to carry the silver, just not the rest". He drops the drawstring of the sack as he stands up straight, reaching for his lower back as he stretched. Not being used to asking for help, especially when it came to loot, his voice a little sheepish.
Gerrard thrusts the Peruvian crowbar into the gap around the door just as Kei finishes talking to Dwal. Turning at the sound of steel on steel he braces for more walking dead.
((That'll teach me for getting interrupted while posting))
Kei
"Not another ghost! Watch out Gerry, don't want you getting any older. We'd have to spend all this loot on a rocking chair for you"His biting words aiming to infuriate the noble-to-be so much so that he feels inspired to defeat this new foe. (Take another inspiration die Scott).
Sticking his head around the door he yells a few magically laced words at the set of armour. "With no head, you CANNOT SEE"

Gerrard:
Like a man with precious little left to lose, Gerrard steps up to the empty suit and unleashes his rage on it, striking hard with both weapons and attempting to destroy the unnatural spirit animating this armor!
Elegant Rapier Attack with Bless: 10 + 1
Main Gauche Attack with Bless 15 + 2
Looks like the Main Gauche is my best shot against the plate: add inspiration to the attack roll: 4
Kei's spell... (Con save: 6) ... appears to have no effect on the empty suit of armor.
Bjorn wheels around from behind and attempts to bite its shoulder: Bite attack: 8 Piercing damage: 3
...but fails to pierce its thick metal plating. Oceanus fires his crossbow: Light crossbow attack: 13. Piercing damage: 9 ...but only leaves a slight dent.
(OOC: I'm going to pause here before resolving Gerrard's attack and let Peri decide what to do first, as he has higher initiative. Weapons racks on either side of the advancing armor means that the space is tight. Whomever advances first to melee the ghostly armor is going to block melee attacks from the rest of you, or risk an opportunity attack.)
Standing ready as Gerrard uses the crowbar, Peri sees the suit of armor rushing his friend. He thrusts the spear toward the gap in the armor near it's groin (12 + 2 for 9 damage) then uses his Halfling Nimbleness to slide between the legs of the armor, clearing an opening for Gerrard to attack. Seeking to confuse whatever presence is animating the armor, he kicks at the back of its knee. 7 for 7
Peri neatly slides under the suit of armor to flank this unnatural construct. His attacks, however, fail to penetrate its tough armor.
Gerrard, however, connects with his Main Gauche, prying off half of the breastplate. There is nothing underneath.
Weaponless, the armor attempts to slam Gerrard with each of its gauntlets. Slam attack 1: 8. Bludgeoning damage: 5 Slam attack 2: 18. Bludgeoning damage: 5
(One connects, one does not. Which does Gerrard want to do: parry or riposte?)
As Gerrard has no idea the second attack is coming after the first, he reacts by nimbly dodging the first attack and reposting with a quick slash from his rapier. Taken by surprise with its second attack, the noble grunts with the impact of the animated armor’s gauntlet on his chest, but still manages to employ one of his favorite attack routines—a double stab&slash with both weapons at the seam of the remaining edge of the breastplate!
Riposte: Attack: 10 + 1 Damage: 19
Rapier: Attack: 21 + 4 Damage: 11:
Main Gauche: Attack: 18 + 3 Damage: 6:

Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
Gerrard fails with his riposte, but connects with the second two attacks, peeling off more pieces of plate. Behind him, Dwal fires off a triplet of arcane missiles into the void in its chest. With a mild explosion of air, the armor collapses into a heap on the floor of the old armory. Combat is over.
inspecting the armor by poking it with his blade to make sure it is done fighting, Gerrard wonders if enough of it is recoverable to be sold as a suit of plate armor.

Whatever magic animated this suit of armor also suspended its natural deterioration. Now that the magic has been forcibly dispelled, the suit is rapidly aging in front of your eyes. But the plates still remain in reasonable shape, even if some of the leather fastenings turn brittle. It likely has some resale value, and can probably be restored to good condition by a skilled armorer, but it's not wearable in its current state.
(Kei may take back that magic missile and save it for future use!)

Dwal
"Well that was interesting," Dwal says. "Let's check out this armory. If there is a magic guardian then I'm bettin' there's magic in here." Dwal enters the room and looks around. Investigation: 10 "Peri, you might want to use that magic vision of yours to see if there is magic afoot," Dwal suggests.
Gerrard will carefully pack away the plate armor in the hopes that whatever coin it may bring will finance the healing magic needed to restore his youth.

He looks around the room, finding nothing that lights up his Eldritch Sight. "Nothin' here, Cap'n. Might be that magic guard just got stuck in here when the place fell. You find nothing else of interest or worth in the old armory. Peri's Eldritch Sight finds nothing, either.

Dwal
After looking Dwal seems a bit put out. "Dwarves and armories go hand in hand and have always had a trick or two about them." he says.
Dwal walks with the others to the next door. "Alright then, lets get this done." he states.
