Peri strikes the wounded gnoll in the stomach, seriously injuring it. It's barely standing. He then tears south at a heroic gate, shouting for his innkeeper. Concentration on the Faerie Fire is maintained.
Kei curses the horde of attackers with his, while giving Peri some inspiration. (Did you cast Bane three or all four?) The weak-willed gnolls consider his words carefully: First three Charisma saves: -1, -1, and 18.
The two in the back (NW) of the pack are affected, a little more hesitant now in their charge.
Bjorn flies high to survey the scene from above.
Dwal drops his concentration on Bless and instead concentrates on creating a fog bank in the middle of the battlefield. It's a thick, soupy cloud; impossible to see through. (It heavily obscures anything in or behind it; anyone in it is effectively [Tooltip Not Found] and attacks are made at disadvantage.) (OOC: At Level 1 it's 20' radius - circumscribed by a 40x40' box. Not sure you needed a Level 2? You can dial that back if you want. See map.)
Gerrard is up next.
(Let me know if the fog is positioned correctly, or if you want the level 2 cloud.)

Gerrard:
OOC: I think the center of the cloud was to be between Peri's previous location and Gerrard's current location given the timing of the posts, and I think he wanted it at level 2, but I'll let him clear that up for you. For Gerrard's action, he is going to assume that the four gnolls to his northeast are fully obscured in mist.
Scrambling out of the cloud to the west, Gerrard pounces into the midst of the archers like a tiger among rabbits (25 feet west, then 5 feet northwest to put him in melee with all three archers). He then lashes out with his weapons, striking first at the glowing archer and trying to take down as many gnoll archers as possible as he slashes and stabs with blazing speed!
(Action for rapier attack, bonus action for main gauche attack, action surge for extra rapier attack, riposte against first missed attack. I'll start rolling with advantage against the Faerie Fired one--if he goes down, the other attacks should be normal)
Elegant Rapier Attack with Advantage: Attack: 21 Damage: 7
Main Gauche Attack (with Advantage, ignore second roll if FF gnoll is down): Attack: 13 Damage: 9
Action Surge Rapier Attack (with Advantage, ignore second roll if FF gnoll is down): Attack: 21 Damage: 7
Riposte Rapier Attack (no Advantage): Attack: 23 Damage: 12

Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
Gerrard springs into the midst of the three archers. He strikes the glowing one three times – all three hit and wound it - but it takes all three blows to fell the foul beast, the last swing of his rapier cleanly puncturing its heart.
Bjorn reports to Dwal that humans are coming from the east – evidently Lankus and the rest of the team.
The two remaining archers draw their spears and confront Gerrard: Spear attack #1 (vs Gerrard): 13. Piercing damage: 3 Spear attack #2 (vs Gerrard): 20. Piercing damage: 8
The first spear attack misses, and Gerrard tries unsuccessfully to riposte. The second one strikes.
The others circle the fog cloud... (Is Dwal inside or out the fog cloud? Is the cloud the right size?)
OCC: Yes it is the right size and Dwal is outside the fog. He created it to provide cover for his companions, and a place to run if the Gnolls find him an easy target-as long as his concentration holds.
was it un-bear-able?
Did you finally get your bear-ings and bear down on the problem or did you bear-ly survive?

One gnoll races around the edge of the fog cloud, and spotting Dwal, looses his spear at him: Ranged Spear attack #1 (vs Dwal): 18. Piercing damage: 6
Dwal is struck in the foot. (Roll DC10 Constitution Save again to maintain the fog.) The other three race blindly through the fog, toward where they last saw Peri and Kei, flailing their spears through the air.

Kei
"That nearly hit me!"He shouts at the spear chucker. Quickly he adds "no one takes a shot at old Fiercetongue without answering to the rest of us"Kei moves NE away from the edge of the fog until he can see the culprit. His lips form the words "Your mother was a jackal" but no audible sound comes out. Instead he curses the dog faced humanoid.

Peri:
The fog cloud providing a brief respite, Peri gulps down the potion of healing around his neck (9 healing). If he can make out any of the pursuing gnolls (not the archers) he will hex one (specifying WIS as their disadvantaged ability). He ends his turn by stepping about 10' into the cloud, making sure to note his way back.
Dwal will let his concentration on the Cloud of Fog to drop and as a reaction, he will cast Shield. Dwal summons magical energies to create a barrier that will cause the attack to miss him.

Kei attempts to [Tooltip Not Found] the gnoll (we'll call him #1) outside the fog who threw the spear which hit Dwal.
Wisdom Save: 18
Abandoning its thrown spear, the damaged creature tears away to the north, trying to scramble up one of the rocky mounds.
Peri quaffs his potion, then moves into the billowing smoke. He cannot see a thing, but he smells the foul breath of one and hears it stomping around in the fog, very close.
Bjorn continues to circle and monitor from above. Lankus and his crew are charging in from the northeast, he signals to Dwal.
Dwal casts a magical barrier around himself. (He may keep fog going if he wants; Shield is not a Concentration spell.)

Gerrard:
With the divine blessing expired and having taken his first damage from the gnolls, Gerrard dials back his aggression a bit for a more balanced approach to the combat, satisfied that at least he is forcing the ersatz archers to engage him up close and personal instead of continuing to take pot shots at his allies. With a quick glance at the gnoll to his east, Gerrard suddenly chooses to stab both blades at the gnoll to his south, settling back almost immediately into a defensive stance.
Elegant Fencing Rapier: Attack: 23 Damage: 5
Main Gauche: Attack: 11 Damage: 6

Peri's senses lock on to the beast in the fog; even though he can't see it, he knows exactly where it is. (Great roll nullifies disadvantage for your next strike, with or without fog.)

Peri:
The gnolls' snuffling, growling noise seems to surround him in the fog. Suddenly a spear flashes out, nearly taking him in the neck, but he is just able to twist enough that it stabs his shoulder instead. He turns in the direction the spear came from and hears the gnoll's excited laughing call. He thrusts his own spear straight toward the source (19 for 10). Feeling the spear strike its target, but unsure if it actually injured the beast, he follows it with a low sweeping kick where the gnoll's legs should be (12 for 6).
Feeling both attacks connect, Peri retreats from the cloud the same direction he entered it, then moves 25' due south to watch for any gnolls coming out of the cloud. (If the cloud drops he will remain engaged with the gnoll.)
