Hey there! Ive been playing d&d for almost 3 years now, as well as dming for a year. I would really like to do a NE (not dick, just more whats in it for me) druid (circle of dreams) tiefling.

Michael is a ranger and protector of the wild, or at least that was what he did back home before the sickness hit. He is out for a new start. He has a feline construct, named Guardian, at his side, and uses inventions and magic to help with his work.
Name: Taman Landon
Race: Variant Human

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Backstory: Keth was a wild spirit growing up in the wilderness town of his birth. Exploring the woods when he was told not to, sneaking in to the bakers shop for that enticing fresh pie. He was quite content as far as life went and had a good rapport to those around him. He was older when the plague first started, his world just taking shape. He did his best to provide for those slowly being stricken down, his heart breaking.
He was just arriving home from a hunt at the moment the raiders came. They were half mad with hunger and possibly the plague themselves. They struck at any who refused to give up their foodstuffs and it was the last straw when they killed the local chaplin. They later said Keth was like fury, moving from enemy to enemy driving them back. Some even say a rare red hawk flew over at the same moment.
The whole affair awakened a fury inside Keth that he has since honed and developed. Having joined with other able bodied warriors he brings his usual light hearted demeanor until that moment comes in which the hawk takes over and it is time to kill again.
Cyriana spent most of her life in solitude living in a hut deep within swamps continually covered by thick mists after she was banished to the surface by her people for performing forbidden rituals. She just recently left her swamp because her patron known to her as the dark lady spoke to her in a vision and sent her to a nearby port town to take a ship to Sul na Mara. She had not mingled with humans or even other intelligent beings for decades and is trying to avoid getting into trouble by disguising herself in public. However, her eccentric nature and strange habits make it difficult to kept a low profile. She would have met other group members on the ship seeking the company of people that draw some of the attention more than she does.
So Ea is a circle of dreams druid tiefling. Green skin, blue hair/eyes, black horns.
Ea, being a decendent of those from the 9 hells, shouldnt be a druid, right? Being of infernal blood tends to not lend oneself to being of fluidic/nature/healing magic. But being stubborn as ****, she said screw what I'm "supposed" to be I'm going to do what I do best. Being snarky, but also willing to help when necessary. But shes also going to make sure you remember that when she needs something that she did help you out in your time of need so just remember that lest you get blighted.
I will submit two options. The first is an artificer, so not sure you are allowing the content. The second is all PHB though.

Background: Eldric started as an orphan on the streets, just another half breed running in the muck and stealing for survival. One day he picked the "right" pocket, the pocket of the adventurer Keshana Goodomen. Kit, as she was called, took a liking to the young half elf and employed him to do various odd jobs for her while she was off researching of exploring some lost ruin. Kit paid well and kept him in food atleast. Then came the fateful day El "he had decided to shorten his name like Kit's" was cleaning Kit's gear and opened her spell book.First, Kit had an enchantment that only one with magical ability could open said spell book, second El had no mage training. Kit was furious at first but when she realized El had not done this out of maliciousness but out of a desire to help, she also realized she had herself an apprentice.
After a few years El became a full fledged mage he also picked up the adventurer's life style. He and Kit have parted and El is on his own to see where the world and magic takes him.
Motivation: Power pure and simple. Not "All encompassing power over others but, the thrill of becoming more powerful, mastering himself and magic, is what drives Eldric.

Lia was born the daughter of a human female, by some unknown elven adventurer. Lia's mother died in a fire when she was young and she was sent to an orphanage. There she became friends with another half-elf by the name of Rolen. Eventually Rolen and Lia left the orphanage, because they were constantly made fun of by the other kids. The two began living their lives on the streets, stealing just enough to get by.
Eventually they grew up and Rolen got involved with a group of thieves. He owed them a lot of money and Lia agreed to use her skills to break in and steal something for them. She snuck into the old wizards house and while looking for the magical item the thieves wanted, she saw a jet black blade. When she touched it she heard a voice. It offered her a deal. Take the blade and she would have the power to free her friend. She grabbed the blade and used it to rescue Rolen. The two left the city and never looked back. Backstory: Brace grew up poor but worked hard to show his worth. He found a patron in General Day Black a Half-Elf who defied norms and became respected by both Elves and Half-elves. Brace has been able to receive a top education and training as his patron learned to trust him. The spirit of defiance remained with Brace as he was able to gain the divine guidance of Tymora Goddess of good fortune. Good fortune has indeed smiled upon Brace until now. This latest development has proven desperate. The homeland is almost in ruins and Brace has been sent as an agent of help to bring favor back home. The problem is that following the refugees in order to find fortune or favor in the search for the coastal jewel of Talamh is leading nowhere. Actually it is leading into unwelcome lands as Talamh is being overrun and visitors are no longer welcome. The good side is that Brace has made some acquaintances that are proving valuable as he continues to search for anything that will help his people.
Hector was raised with travelling merchant caravans. His uncle was a Smith and taught the basics. Name: Giovanni
Race: Tortle
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Class: Ninja Turtle (Shadow Monk)
Background: Urchin
Backstory: Giovanni grew up in the sewers of the big city side by side with his four brothers. Freshly hatched, they were adopted by a giant rat and trained in the way of the shadow. At some point in their storied history Giovanni touched a magic hubcap and began tumbling through space, time, and universe. Trapped in another world, Giovanni does what his father trained him to do. Like his legendary brothers he will protect the land from the shadows. Leo used a katana, Mickey used nunkchaku, Ralph wielded dual sais, and Donnie always had his stick. Donning the black mask, Gio masters the shadows themselves and uses his bare friggen hands. Cowabunga.
Backstory: Sha' Lea was born into a family of Shadar Kai elves that took up residence on Faerun, in order to practice and develop their own fighting style in relative safety from the denizens of the Shadowfell. For centuries, they passed as moon elves and stayed under the radar of any who sought them harm. They were a peaceful family, keeping to their own devices, unless approached by any locals needing help with the usual, such as orc raiders, bandits, and the like. The local populace grew to count on them as the years went by, and often gifted them with food at harvest time, horses, and whatever else they thought the monks needed. Life was good for Shae, and she never knew hardship, or hunger or true danger. As She grew up, she became obsessed with the other races of Faerun, and their cities. She would often be found shirking her duties at the monastery in order to explore nearby cities and villages, Baldur's Gate in particular. She spent countless hours in the marketplaces in Baldur's Gate, exploring the back alleys, meeting as many people as she could, and buying trinkets from dwarves, halflings, gnomes, and anyone else she found interesting. It was one fateful night that she was doing this exact thing when a group of Drow raiders from the Underdark, mistaking the Shadar Kai for moon elves, attacked the monastery for slaves and plunder. Shae came back the next morning to a building full of dead bodies, blood, and silence. The monks had fought bravely, killing many of the drow and their slaves (including bugbears, orcs, and goblins), but were ultimately defeated. As Shae explored the silent building, she found no survivors, only the brutality of the Drow and their minions. She went from room to room, finding nothing but bodies and blood. Everything of value had been taken, the women raped, and anyone young and able bodied captured. She found the body of her mother surrounded by dead drow, all slain by the skilled monk and her staff. She found no trace of her father. She buried her dead family, burned the bodies of the raiders, and then left the monastery, taking her mother's staff and vowing to never again return. She forsook her family's surname, believing herself unworthy of it. She initially tried to find any trace of the raiders, to try and rescue any survivors, or at least exact her vengeance on the drow, but she found nothing. Lost of any purpose, she floated from town to town after that, doing small jobs here and there for food and board, until she was approached by a town guardsman in Baldur's Gate about a bounty that they needed done, but didn't have the manpower to complete. A murderer had escaped the day before his execution, and fled. They believed he had assistance, and was on his way to Waterdeep. They didn't have the numbers to send anyone after him as they had other, more pressing issues to deal with, so as usual they turned to adventurers. Shae completed the mission, hunting him down in the wilderness on his way to Waterdeep. and brought him back alive, so that his sentence could be carried out. As she watched his head roll, she finally felt a sense of relief, and for once felt like she'd done something worthy of her family name. It was then that she discovered a purpose for her life. She became a bounty hunter, seeking out criminals, raiders, murderers, anyone she deemed worthy of execution. She would use her skills, passed down to her by her family, to rid the world of evil, one bounty at a time, until she felt worthy of returning home.

Name: Victor
Race: Yuan-ti Pureblood
Class: Bard (College of Lore)
Alignment: True Neutral
Backstory:
Victor grew up in an orphanage, surrounded by distrustful eyes. Few were willing to look at him, with his forked tongue and scaled hands, and those who did often did so with fear and disgust. The owner of the orphanage, an elderly man, saw fit to protect Victor from the worst, and kept him safe from bullying and harassment, for the most part. When the owner took ill from the plague, Victor devoted all his time to trying to cure him, not out of sentiment or obligation, but because he knew that if the old man died there would be nothing protecting him from the outside world.
Thus, the night before the old man breathed his last, Victor ran away, seeking refuge wherever he could find it.
His upbringing is only visible if he is careless, but there are other signs. He has learned to pass emotionally, more or less, yet for him feeling is still an unnatural act, something which shows at times. Since he was raised outside of Yuan-ti society, he does not believe himself racially superior as a Yuan-ti, yet often finds it odd that other humanoids allow themselves to be so swayed from practicality by their emotions. He'll do whatever it takes to survive, even making allies and working to keep them safe in a quid pro quo relationship, even if the other party doesn't see it that way.
Backstory: Reynard is the second son of Lord Caer Ferrand, Lord of Providentia, a small barony in an out of the way locale. You’ve probably never heard of it. Ever a disappointment to his father, Reynard grew up gambling and carousing in the many waterfront hostelries of his home town. He learnt to womanise and flirt, and how his money could win friends. Somewhere along the lines he actually developed some skills in this area and his natural confidence and the fact he was used to being obeyed as a baron’s son means he’s developed into quite the inspiring leader. Now plague has wracked Providentia, and Reynard’s family are all dead. His title means nothing and the huge castle that he grew up in is a tomb. Reynard has fled with just the (expensive) clothes he stands up in. He guesses he needs to look to start a fresh life here...
Description: Reynard has a penchant for black. Black trousers, black shirt and a black waistcoat are offset by a pair of soft black leather boots. An ornate rapier - a family heirloom - is strapped to his side. Reynard’s quick and easy smile and good nature make him a likeable rogue, though his father despaired of him.
You and your party read the scroll posted on a wall outside a tavern called the Gnawed Knight. The tavern is on the cusp of the city nearest the slums that separate the city proper and the docks.

Name:Reynard Ferrand
Class: Rogue (Swashbuckler)
Race: Variant Human
Background: Noble
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Backstory: Reynard is the second son of Lord Caer Ferrand, Lord of Providentia, a small barony in an out of the way locale.
