Skip would stand behind Keth and Landrae.... watching the man.. and his papers... Trying to spot where they are located and how many they have.... trying to hide behind the two taller figures. He would remain silent unless spoken to directly.... trying not to draw attention to himself.

(OOC: I had thought Keth and Landrae were both heading forward. I had assumed Landrae was the face and I was going to help / steal some forms if it doesn't look like we are going to be able to get enough for the crew.)
Ulfgar steps up forward to the man who called next. "Good day sir, and how do the goddesses fair you today?" He asks as he does like a half bow and feints a tip of the hat.

Skip move along with the line but although he's stealthy he can not see the table or the papers that are currently being given out.
The Mystran looks at Ulfgar with a faint smile.
"Lady Firehair has a yet another convert I see," he adds smiling broadly. "Good day to you too and my Goddess shines with logic and justice today as all days," he adds next nodding his head. "How can I help you..." he pauses looking over Ulfgar's shoulder, "and your party today," he asks pushing up his glasses on the bridge of his nose. His eyes are a brilliant blue, he has high cheekbones, and his salt and pepper black hair that's long, tucked behind his ears that are slightly pointed but not quite elvish. "You have a local sponsor or job that takes you from the city in which you wish to return," he asks next with a cocked eyebrow.
"Indeed" Ulfgar replies "We have been employed to acquire some lost possessions from some of the townsfolk. And if I know our group well, it shouldn't even be that long a trip. No sir..." he points back to his friends "..a finer group go adventurers you would not find in all the lands. Obviously touched with such grace and illumination that our fair lady has bestown upon us"
"What group of locals hired you? Do you have a contract for this...collection of lost goods," the Mystran asks relaxing in his chair with a curious expression.
The Mystran to his right is a female full elf with a pixie hair cut and long sharp ears. He glances over at the human man who smiles back at her before she hurried returns to her papers stamping a scroll for a large man in furs who looks like a human Wastelander to Ulfgar.

"A verbal contract my good sir." Ulfgar replies. "It seems that there are bandits out and about stealing people's possessions and making it hard for people to make their way around. And well.."he leans in a bit now.. "We are REALLY good at stopping bandits from doing bandit things."

In reply to Landrae brains and brawn comment Keth smiles, "I am not just a pretty face." After that he will be a silent but casual back up to whomever takes the lead in securing the paperwork.
Unable to spot where the paperwork is kept.. and noticing the large number of watching eyes.. Skip would swallow hard... Trying to remain relatively unseen among the crowd. "I really hope we dont need any additional papers..." He would whisper to himself.
"You are bound to the city pre your refugees status and are not free to move about the Empire without sponsors or a contract for work outside the city. This policy has been recently implemented due to the......recent events," he adds with a frown. "Unprovoked attacks on your people have been reported outside the city," he explains next looking around him. "Vigilante groups are discouraged even if your intentions to recover these lost items are...honorable," he adds with a frown his tone even. He then ruffles papers and inside Ulfgar's head he hears this:
"If you can see your way to....donating to the great library's restoration project be completed in Alerain the first reign I'm sure I can arrange a....temporary pass," he adds smiling.
He then subtlety rubs his fingers together and smiling at Ulfgar his papers raised to shield the transaction if there was to be an agreement made.

I do love a good library. What do you think?" He nods

Ulfgar squints his eyes at the older man, scrunches up his nose and mouth as he pulls out his coin purse. He turns to his side, covering the contents of the purse from anyone to see and he picks out 10gp. He puts the coin purse back and turns again to the older man. "Oh look what I have here, a donation to the great library. Blessed be the day." Ulfgar says as he passes the coins to the older man.

"Well, easier then I expected there. Good job Ulfgar. Let's meet up with the others and hit the road, what do you say?" Keth asks as he starts eyeing a path back to their caravan.
Ulfgar looks back to his comrades and smiles. "Generosity in the eyes of the great goddess has garnered us safe exit and re-entry into the city! That wasn't so bad now."

"Yeah! That wasn't too rough." He would say looking down at the ground and then back towards the group of clerics and paladins... "I... Didn't really think it was a god idea to try to grab some papers... with that many eyes watching.... in broad daylight..." He would say quietly... obviously disappointed.
Keth says to Skip, "It is the thought that counts. Not everything will fall in to place. Maybe not this time but next? Let's focus on the future eh? Like getting out of this blasted line and on to attaining some glory! I also cannot wait to eat something."
The party reenters the line to exit and within thirty minutes they are through the great wheel and into the outskirts. There is nothing but gentle rolling hills as far as the eye can see until the horizon where a shadowy mountain range looms ahead. The road is wide, two carts easily passing one another on it. There are plenty of carts heading from and to the city. A long line to reenter stretches down the road as the party passes it at a steady pace. Looking back they see the imposing sight of the well guarded wall with sentries posted on each battlement as far as the eye can see disappearing into the slight curve of the wall that enclosed the entire city to the harbor with its great chains barring entry unless approved. Sum na Mara isn't welcoming as it had been in the past. It's a city gearing up for conflict this much is clear.
It takes an hour but soon the party is clear of the line to reenter and can move at a quicker pace now able to pass the slower carts ahead of them.
OOC: Howsit?
