Oorr doffs the net with a powerful shake of wings. Then, he takes the bow and aim at the nearest kuo-toa: to hit 20, damage 6
OOC Man, everything all right there?
The arrow finds purchase in the wide open eye of a Kuo-Toa cultist, sending him screaming in to the waters of the darklake. You notice then that the battle extends even to the shallows of the lakes, where dozens of Kuo-Toa are engaged in a bloody fight between Sea Mother and Deep Father followers.
(OOG I'm being a little loose with the damage and attacks since it's a large scale battle. Feel free to embellish anything you do. I'm not going to roll the more trivial things.)
The other prisoners doff their nets and join the fight as well. Eldeth, Sarith, Derendil, and Jimjar turn to quickly take out their guards, who are too captivated by the battle to notice their sacrifices are no longer bound. Jimjar even manages to assist in taking down a second one with his quick dagger attacks. Bupiddo doffs his net, then darts away in to the middle of a cluster of Kuo-Toa, dagger in hand, where you lose sight of him. Shuushar and Stool cluster behind everyone for safety, and Shuushar begins to meditate.
Valrish gets the net off of him and throws his Handaxe at the Kuo-Toa Whip. To hit: 11, damage: 6
The handaxe makes a sickening sound as it cleaves into the side of the whip, who yells in pain and surprise, before turning his attention to the would-be sacrifices. He gurgles out something unintelligible, pointing at you, while himself rushing to aid the arch-priestess. He appears to be trying to get someone's attention to take care of you, but you don't immediately see anyone else nearby.

OOC: Embellish? I think I can do that. Let me know if I go overboard. [/OOC]
My mystic chanting is ceaseless. At my command, great bursts of flame, red, blue, and green, explode in the midst of my enemies, scattering them to the four winds. My magicsurrounds me and blankets me. Near-invisible flames caress my skin and disintegrate the net covering me. My owl tirelessly persists in trying to claw out Bloppblippodd's over-large,oh-so-vulnerable eyes. And all this chaos and destruction is as nothing compared to the look in my eyes.

Oorr tries to spot a route of escape through the throngs of fighting fish-folk. The battle is gaining ferocity, but seems to be moving further from the altar of the Deep Father, creating two paths of least resistance. One goes near the altar, towards the docks and the darklake to the west, with just the Kuo-Toa Whip in the way, trying to protect the archpriestess. The other leads off to the North, towards the gate to the city, and the underdark beyond. Several groups of Kuo-Toa are battling on this path, but you might be able to sneak by with careful maneuvering.
"Listen to me. Either we go to the Darklake again or northward, still in the Underdark but not in a boat. I strongly suggest the northern path."Oorr explains the situation the party has ahead, waiting for the opinions of his comrades.

Grimnir look at the duergar, cut his bonds and give him a shortsword. "Stick with me, we are helping one side for now - hit the followers of the Deep Father"
Griming tells his new ally "too many kuo-toa here, we need to cut the head of the snake", pointing at the the young archpriest. Meditating on his inner soul for a few second, Griming follows the way of the step of the wind (1ki point > bonus action to disengage), running like water between the lines of warriors. Standing close to the young priestess, Griming delivers a strong hit with his quarterstaff: 11 ; damage (2hands) 5

(Ooc, not sure that in the heat of the battle we could make a judgement call like that ? Nevertheless, I would be tempted to go in the direction of the village of Stool - me and the drow said we'll bring him home. And it's on the way to the surface if I remember)

(OCC)...I didn't notice at first but the owl is helping in this round against the archipriest. can i get advantage on my quaterstaff hit ? if yes here's my second role : 12 ; damage 9
Stool does not know the exact location, or which way to get to the Neverlight Grove where he's from, but Sarith, who is from the underdark, is convinced that the home of the Myconid's is across the darklake. A boat would be fastest most direct route, but you could also traverse the edge of the lake, taking you through Gracklstugh, before you reached the grove. Bupiddo is from Gracklstugh and claims you can find better equipment and supplies than you could in Slobbludop. He can also navigate you there.
(OOC We'll assume you learned this in conversations with Stool and Sarith and Bupiddo while on the darklake)

Some of the guards shake off their shock and hesitation, even as several of them are knocked down by the prisoners and the crowd. They take a few swipes at their would-be sacrifices, but aren't able to connect, and are soon swept up in the swelling battle. You lose sight of them as they are attacked from behind by followers of the Sea Mother.
The duergar that Grimnir frees wastes no time and makes good on his promise to assist. Grabbing a spear from one of the incapacitated guards, he rushes up with Grimnir and also makes an attack on the archpriest of the Deep Father. (Attack: 11, Piercing Damage: 7) The spear finds its target, cutting a small gash in the flesh of the Kuo-Toa. "That one's for me, Hemeth! This next one is for me new best friend, the dwarf, right here!" he shouts, and he prepares to stab her again.
Bloppblippodd stays focused on her father almost completely ignoring the others around her. She reaches out with a scaled hand and makes a gripping motion. You immediately see Ploopploopleen seize up, trying to struggle, but finding himself completely paralyzed.
Several of your companions fend off attacks from the cultists, but more followers of the Sea Mother come to your aid, keeping you safe from the heaviest parts of the battle. You continue to see the battle raging both in and out of the waters of the dark lake, which are now heavily stained with blood.
(OOG Round 2, just tell me what action you're taking.)
" Let's move. We go around the darklake to get to the Grove. On foot"Oorr and Zippy led the party toward the darklake, hoping to find an easy way to get to the other end.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Grimnir sees Oorr leaving the fighting area with the party, and suddenly remembers the outcomes of the last time he jumped in a fight too tough for him, against the kuo-toa in the boat. Turning to the duergar, "I have a feeling this fight is impossible.. I need to regroup with my friends over there. Come with us if you want, we're always in the need of good fighter !".
Using my action to give 1 whack with my quarterstaff with the hope of breaking the priestess concentration : 6 , damage 5 Then using another ki point to disengage as a bonus action and regroup with my fellow companions...
(OOC, maybe crossing the darklake might not be a good idea, I concur. Why not take boat but following the coast as suggested towards Gracklstugh first then (where we could resupply and rest)

Oorr gives a look around to see if there is an escape route somewhere. " Zippy, stay close!" (Percection: 22, 12)
