Setup: Morgan, Wilson, and Sim are all 20 feet down in the pit. Morgan is set to give someone a boost up and out of the pit. Abigail is at the top, the creatures tops still standing 20 feet above her when not coiling down and slamming the rest of the crew. Lafetha is inside the side, tunneling around. (It'll take 2 rounds to get back to the surface)
The Beast turns it's heads back around. All five of them coming down to the three people who are still trapped down in the pit. Attack on Morgan: 21 Damage: 12 Attack on Morgan: 18 Damage: 11 Attack on Wilson: 10 Damage: 10 Attack on Wilson: 27 Damage: 6 Attack on Sim: 23 Damage: 13

Abigail reaches the surface and grabs the rope off the side of her pack, whirling around to drop one end to her companions. "Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit..."
"Don't you dare die on my Sim, you worthless piece of ranger trash!" ((Bonus Action to Rally Sim for 4 temporary HP - apparently name calling does not seem to motivate him that much...))
Morgan looks at Sim, "We're going to get you out of this...alive!" Morgan tries to climb athletics6 Morgan fails to climb again, "We'll you'll get out of this at least." Morgan tries to position themself between the snakes and Sim and takes the dodge action.
Summary: The five heads once again turn and slam down into the ground. Morgan knocks the first that comes after her to the side, only to get hammered by the second (12). Wilson ducks under one of the blows, before the second clips him (6). Sim takes another strong attack; his face shifting and contorting in a odd - not human - pattern that causes it to correct itself into his chest; rather than crushing his head (13). Lafetha continues to move as fast as she can, pushing dirt out of the way as she heads up to the surface. Wilson, reaches down and grabs the last item. Seeming to understand how insane it seems but how much hes unable to control the impulse for clearly shiny things and objects. He flutters up and over to safety after pulling out another small satchel. Abigail takes out her rope, plants her feet, and tosses it down over the side. She offers some... encouraging words to Sim (+4). Sim takes the rope, attempting to climb up with the help of Morgan but falls in the mad dash out of the hole. Frustrated, he finds a moment to take a breath (+9), and loops some of the rope around himself. Morgan, attempts to also climb up on the rope that's now firmly planted, but just can't get their exhausted body up. Resolving to keep some people alive, they step infront of Sim as best as possible, ready to dodge around the creature.
Wilson Pulls out a satchel of coins! (When counted, 100 copper coins, 15 platinum)

Round 4 (Begin)
Situation: Morgan is in front of SIm, ready to try and take on some of the beast's blows. Sim has a rope tied around himself. Lafetha, a badger, is 10 feet underground (will arrive on the surface after moving and dashing this turn). Wilson is at the top, guns out while Abigail is holding on to the rope.
(Abigail, or Wilson, can attempt to pull Sim up with DC 12 STR/Athletics roll using the rope, but then the rope is no longer down in the pit to be used. Can spend a action to offer a hand down to someone in the pit, giving them advantage on their own roll)
The five serpentine bodies of the beast turn and begin to slam down towards the two of them...
On Morgan Attack: 12 Damage: 6 Attack: 9 Damage: 12 Attack: 10 Damage: 11
On Sim (Morgan is giving half cover: +2 AC) Attack: 22 Damage: 11
...the last head slams into.... (1 & 2: Morgan, 3 & 4: Sim with half cover +2 AC. 2) Attack: 18 Damage: 12 Disadvantage Roll if attacking Morgan: 18

Scooting back in the air to 45'from the body ((I want to try and make it move to hit me if it does)) Wilson sights down the barrel of his gun and aims for the back most head and fires.
Summary: The beasts lashes out, four of it's large sections attempting to smash down on Morgan. Morgan, ready for the attacks, slides and moves around them. Making sure not to get trapped between the corpses and the mountain of flesh. One snakes by Morgan, slamming into Sim from above (11). Wilson takes to the sky, and with a steady aim sets his sights on the creature, before a loud blast rings through the swamp. A chunk of the creature scattering out in every which way (20). Lafetha pops out of the ground, a few feet from everyone, as Abigail continues to brace with the rope. Sim is first to climb out, followed quickly by Morgan.

Round 5 (End of Combat)
The beast swirls itself around, lashing across the sky for a few moments before turning each head to the ground. The stone and bone jaws scooping heaps of dirt over itself. Covering and burying the 20 foot hole back over. As if you were never there....
(initiative drops)
Behind you is the woods, that noise seeming to have stopped. At least for now....
"Well, that was... exciting. Everyone in one piece? I think I could use a breather after that, and it looks like Sim could use some of Lafetha's mystical healing powers. Should we get to the woods and set up a perimeter?"

Abigail thanks Wilson for his generosity in sharing his spoils, then sits to take a breather (7 + 8 + 4). She keeps her eye out toward the bog that they came from and further tree lines, to see if anyone or anything is drawn to the commotion they made.

After resting (and assuming nothing happens immediately afterward), Abigail is going to try to climb up the tallest tree she can in order to get a lay of the land ahead, and see if there is anything of interest that can be seen from there (who knows, maybe there is some tower visible... or a giant... or hydra heads... cannot hurt to just check). Perception: 18.
If climbing up a tree seems too troublesome (i.e. all these trees are mostly dead making them dangerous to climb, all the trees appear to be similarly sized, etc.), then Abigail will suggest that Wilson fly above the tree canopy and see if there is anything obvious.

"Rest is needed, that would traumatize anyone."
During the rest he will toy with the gem, though he will take 5 platinum from the fist pouch add it to the second and toss it to the group.
"At least that wasn't a complete loss"
He will keep the gemsand most of the first bag of gold (( sans the 5 plat to the group)), the potion, and the unique gem.
Sim take 5 platinum and 25 copper from the bag and then sits down to rest while keeping an eye on the trees.
