 Um, wait---- perception roll...will never beat Raven's stealth....the two of you fail to see each other.

 So she beat a stealth of 26?  I did not see her perception roll to spot Raven...  Granted if the 21 was her stealth Raven wouldn't have spotted her either, but she still has to beat 26 to spot raven in return.

You see a Duchess, poised on a tree branch, ten feet up, looking for prey to attack....she has no idea you are there.

If it hits here is the extra critical damage:

That beats a 10 so I assume Henry can keep five bombing while Quentin flops around. 

Henry, this time an angry owl as his master is now a whale, dive bombs and breaths out a spray of acid hoping to get rid of the mean druid.

Elwin turned, pausing for a bit. He was beginning to wonder how many more opponents he had after this one. Still, he snapped the reins, and rode forward again.

Elwin and Sir Banith pass each other without a hit once more.  Turning, Sir Banith waits for the signal, and charges again.

Raven's fierce secret attack is so devastating that the Duchess (within 4 HP of her life) instantly yields.  She gives Raven a sour look as the healers patch her up and pyrotechnics shoot up over the area.  The announcer calls out, "Raven Blackblade eliminates the Duchess Mellivanda!  RAVEN BLACKBLADE WINS THE MELEE FREE-FOR-ALL!"

The gravity-battered druid succumbs to the spray of acid.  Heck, he was in such bad shape that Henry could probably have taken him out with a feathery head-butt.  As Billy Weston falls face-first to the flagstones, Quentin finds himself de-whaled.  He still has a strange craving for fish, though.

The ritualists take you away to restore your spellcasting energies, as the healers pump Weston full of healing.

In time, you are led back to the arena.  Your final opponent is there, a figure swathed in a loose black cloak, so that you can have no idea of their true appearance or form, arms crossed over its chest and foot tapping impatiently.

You hear the wizard announcer call out, "For the championship: Lord Quentin Adiyodi of Ellantar vs Stormshade the Tempestuous!" Stormshade is preparing a spell practically before the announcement is finished.

Roll initiative! Stormshade: 22

Initiative: 11

Quentin, having taken a bow before the start and gives his friends a smile after having fought hard to make it to the finals. Seeing his impatient opponent Quentin enters his stance and is soon slinging his own spells. Starting off with his classic that has gotten him this far a Firebolt followed by imbuing Henry with Fire. 

Firebolt: Attack: 15 Damage: 9

Dragon Breath from Henry: 12 Fire Damage 

Dex save vs Henry: 19

Shrugging off the damage, your opponent rushes toward you.  When fifteen feet from you, the air around the hooded figure erupts into a huge explosion of flame!

FIREBALL! for 29  Dex save vs DC16 to take half damage.

Henry, fortunately, was not following the enemy closely enough to be caught up in the flames...this time.

The cloaked figure at the center of the blast seems untouched by the flame.

(BTW, we never discussed dimensions of the playing field, I think?  It's a 100 foot wide circle, the two of you started 50 ft apart, 25 feet from the center, 25 feet from the wall. Unless I said something different before that I've forgotten in all the crazy tournamenting.)

Mindartis sidesteps the Baron's attack and strikes out at him again, leaving an easy opening for an attack against himself.

(LOL. You just said a giant magical dome. I thought big enough for some space but not enough to run from AoE’s.) 

Quentin attempts to counterspell the sudden explosion of fire in his face.

Dex ST in case Counterspell doesn’t work: 7

Concentration Check for Dragons Breath in case: 16

Hurt and realizing he needs to stop another one of those Quentin runs in close and putting magic in his hand attempt to immobilize his opponents robe hopefully greatly reducing their ability to dodge and cast. Henry comes up from behind and spews more fire just far enough to not hit Quentin. 

Immovable Object on Robe DC 15 Dex ST I believe is what we agreed on. 

Dragon Breath DC 15 Dex ST: 17

Raven nods to the last of her opponents and then sheathes her rapier with a single motion.  She walks out of the melee grounds and towards wherever the announcers tells her she is suppose to go after winning the contest.

Quentin: just to clarify: What level did you cast Counterspell at?  Also, Stormshade was 15 feet from you when you ran up to him...did you move away after casting IO, or stay there?

Only one of Mindartis's atacks makes it through the Baron's defenses, but it is a hard hit indeed.

Concentration save for Searing Smite: 17

(3rd level. And I did not move away, was having Henry blast his back so I’m just out of range.)

Only one of Mindartis's blows hit, but it was a hard one. The burning fire on the Baron's morning star poofs out, and he replaces it with another, brighter flame, taking another fierce swing at Mindartis: although his shield is bent almost to unusability and his armor is grievously dented, he seems determined to get at least one hit on Mindartis. Considering the power of the barbarian's attacks, healing seems pointless.

Attack:  Attack: 23 Damage: 7 (piercing) plus 4 fire damage, as you burst into flames!

(If hit, you must Con save DC14 or take another 5 fire damage.
