As the lead gnoll is nearly killed by blasts of magic, most of the followers charge toward the source of the blast beam!  Nine gnoll archers fire in a random panic in the direction of the party.

One gnoll toward the back pulls a tube from his belt and pulls a string on it. The air fills with the acrid smell of smoke as a blindingly bright flare screams up into the sky, marking the position of the gnoll party.

(If random arrows hit someone: 1=Elwin, 2=Del, 3=Mindartis, 4=Quentin, 5=Raven, 6=Sir Ethan)

"Ride!" yelled Elwin. He wasn't sure of exactly how many knights were supposed to be with him--or if they'd even listen to the newcomer--but he acted as if he knew they were to follow, and pulled Oroman forward and left to try to flank the opponent.

If/when Elwin gets close enough, he'll try to attack, and will direct all attacks meant for Oroman toward himself.

MOVE: Toward the outer edge of the gnolls on our left, using Oroman's Dash to go up to 120 feet if needed
BONUS: Cast Hex with a 1st-level spell slot on first target, choosing to cripple his STR checks
ACTION: Two lance attacks on nearest target, then on a second target if first goes down
- First Attack roll: 20, Damage incl. crits: 17
- Second Attack roll: 29, Damage incl. crits: 13
    (if same target, add 7 to damage)

He will use Shield this round, using a 1st-level spell slot, if he gets hit by anything else

 No clue actually.  Pretty lost from the start of this one.  Guess she is just hidden close to the allies.

“I think any surprise attack is going to be ruined thanks to that flare.” Quentin remarks as he casts Magnify Gravity using his new rod to not spend the energy himself on the Gnoll swordsman attempting to slow them down. 

Magnify Gravity at 3rd level DC 15 Con ST half speed if fail: 20

Not wishing to be caught out alone in front, Raven will wait for the forces to draw closer where she can then attack from hiding and have allies close by if things don't work out so well.

(Dodge action and remain hidden.)

(Eh, that was less than overwhelming.) combined damage of 119 They take out five of the unwounded gnolls and six of the badly wounded ones.

Only four of the sword gnolls remain. The strike out at the attacking horsemen: (If I roll a nat 1 they attack Elwin) 9 6 14 21

One gnoll strikes a knight for 8 damage.

The party is up.

Did none of the archers follow Del? He looks around feeling like back at school and not getting picked, yet again, for dodgeslate (a very pointy game given the materials at hand in the city). Probably why he got missed in the initiative order, too busy moping. He calls out Captain Garalam, make some archers useful please as he blasts at the luckiest gnoll archer 

First Blast --- 19 doing 5

Second --- 21 doing 4

(I don't read thoroughly enough. :O  Will do the archers later, but sadly have to go to work now)

50 archers are in range of the gnoll archers: 27 hit! Damage: 155 (Hmm, should have been +58 more. XD )

Between Del and the archers, 8 gnoll archers are taken down, and the remaining two are wounded.

Mindartis charges into the frey, crying out loudly as his fury overtakes him during the charge

Knowing these are just fodder troops, raven moves in and strikes at one, then disengages to rejoin her allies.
