"I thought it was rude.." John calls over his left shoulder. "When I suggested leaving it off and they ignored me. But, they just didn't want this thing getting through, I guess."
He slaps a large hand against the monsters carcass, a fleshy smack sounding with every slap.
"I will be cautious though." He promises, as he slows his pace a bit more, to not leave his companions behind.
Carefully he'll make his way through the gap of the two stacks of blades, now immobile.
There are echoes ahead of you, voices in an excited state.
The voices get louder as you get to the workshop. Scattered among the inventions and parts are about a dozen other gnomes. They are listening to Fibblestib and Dabbledob, their eyes sliding over to the party and the creature. You see disbelief turn into shock.
Chom joins the commotion at Ketch's words as he follows the gnomes towards the kings' chambers. "Don't worry, it's only asleep! We won't wake it up though in case it gets grumpy! Maybe once we show the kings, we can release it back into the wild!"
John follows Fibblestib and Dabbledob, towards the royal bedchamber, a worried look creeping slowly on to his face.
"How will they see, if they won't open the door!?" He asks, fully having not thought about how to prove anything to two Gnomes too scared to even open their very metal door.
“Everyone is do sensitive about doors. You all should remember the words of Gruumsh: When you knock down a door you don’t have to worry if it’s locked!” Ketch preaches...
The gnomes are at the doors, banging on them as you walk up. The words are in Gnomish, fast and excited.
The voice of King Korboz can be heard, yelling back at them. His voice fades in and out. You surmise that he is talking both to the gnomes and to his husband.

"You finish?"
"You kill it?"
The two gnomes peer into the room. Their eyes are wide as they take in the creature.
"Not a barrel."
"Not a rug."
"Have to tell King Kroboz."
"Will he believe it?"
They turn and run down the hall.
John stares after them, as they turn to run, for a split second..
Then breaks into a full sprint after them! The body over his shoulder, bouncing off his back with every stride.
Ketch follows after, but doesn't run. There's been enough craziness, he doesn't need to be rushing into more.
"Come on everyone! Hurry!" Chom starts running behind John and the gnomes. "We did it, Horace, We did it!"
The gnomes are half way across the bridge by the time most of you are at the cave entrance.
"Stop. Wait. Slow up," Ketch mumbled to himself. By Gruumsh, he'll not hurry to crazy kings with the corpse of a crazy beast!
John slows down as he comes upon the bridge. Making sure to hold one of the rope railings with his free hand, as he crossed.
"Wait for us you two!" He calls to the speedy little gnomes.
The gnomes continue across the bridge. They disappear into the cave, then Fibblestib pops back out and waves his hand.
"Turned them off!"
Then he's gone again.
“Weren’t they already off?”Ketch calls out as a warning to John.

Xel-Thoth tries to keep up with the group.
Surely they have killed whatever thing the kings had mentioned has been sneaking around and causing death and chaos in these halls.
John holds the dead creature out in front of him for all the little Gnomes to see.
"It can't hurt anyone any more." He says as he gives the body a little shake.
“Maybe it’s not full dead yet? I could try to heal it if the little ones need proof,” Ketch suggests, sarcastically and with a tone of menace...
"Surely this is what has terrorized your kingdom."
Xel-Thoth gestures to the dead carcass.
"Is this enough proof for your kings?"
There are squeals and gasps as the carcass is shaken. At Ketch's words, more than a few turn and run down the corridor at the back of the room.
"No need for that."
"Not the nicest to say."
"We should show King Korboz."
"How we going to get him to open the door to see?"
Fibblestib and Dabbledob run toward and down the tunnel to your left, the tunnel you know leads to the royal bedchamber.
Chom joins the commotion at Ketch's words as he follows the gnomes towards the kings' chambers. "Don't worry, it's only asleep! We won't wake it up though in case it gets grumpy! Maybe once we show the kings, we can release it back into the wild!"
