I’ll peek in through the open door and take one last look around to see if anything out of the ordinary catches my attention. Then I’ll head toward the mills on the other side of the river.
Parker and Dart, it takes you about an hour or so to reach Brampton, inside the city walls. There, you get a ferryman to take you across for a handful coppers. He finds the request somehwat odd, but happily takes your money.
Crossing the river takes you a good twenty minutes, and you can't help but feel a little curious about the whisps of fog that are already creeping across the river. While the north bank bears the city and most of the outlying villages, the southern bank is almost entirely barren, with the exception of the southern point of Wyrm's Crossing, and the large steel mills opposite the city.
You dock at a large set of loading docks, made for large river barges that can bring the goods produced here directly to where they are needed. A gentle ramp leads up towards the steel mill, and even from here you can make out the large Cannith family crest on the middle of the three halls. As you look up at the colossal structures of brick and mortar, with its fuming smoke stacks, you can't help but feel in awe of the progress and technology that imposes itself in such a manner on the world surrounding you. Approaching closer, you find an eight-foot tall fence surrounding a factory yard, with slag heaps to one side, and crates of goods ready to be brought down to the southern bank of the river and be shipped off. Even from this distance, you can tell that the crates bear the rearing Pegasus, the symbol of the imperial army.
A steady stream of workers is either carting out more slafg, or another crate, ready for loading. They don't pay you two any particular mind, eager to finish their shift soon, and get ready for the evening back on the Northern bank. You reckon you might have another one and a half hours before you need to be in Rivington to receive your shipment.

Before I search the mills area to determine where the can came from I will turn to the ferrymen “I’ll need a ride to Rivington in about an hour will you be here to provide that for me?”
"A'ight, make it two silvers for the trip there, an' I'll come pick ye up in about an hour." With that, the ferryman gets ready to push off and leave you to your business.
Dart, you don't see any cans nearby, but it's easily possible that they are stored in the crates that seem ready for shipping. From your current position outside of the fence, it's very hard to determine. All you can tell is that some of the workers on break nearby are using spoons to eat out of cans very similar to the one you took with you.

Neris considers Terin's proposal. She looks around and, uncertain of their privacy, responding in a low but friendly voice - carefully choosing her words.
"If we send aid to the empire troops of Magnidhzan, it certainly would reflect well on our patron and perhaps earn him favour - which can be of help for us down the line. And there are other reasons for us to visit Magnidhzan. Perhaps even our friends would like to travel too - a change of scenery does one good, I have heard."
She ponders the practicalities."We'd need to head down the port and find a ship and crew willing to take the contract - can do that right away if you like. We'll need to sort the official papers - leave that to me. We can sort the land transport when we arrive in Magnidhzan. But we should also speak with Uncle, and see if there are any additional opportunities we don't want to miss out on."
At your questions, one of the workers looks up and comes over. "This 'ere thing? Comp'ny feeds us wit' the very products we meant to be shippin' off. Taste ain't great, but a can like this is more meat than mosta us get in a week, so ye won't hear me complainin'. I guess it's a pretty nifty thing these conserves... wi' them, we gets ta feed the troops out west. Feels good ta be doin' yer part, ye know?" At that, the worker seems genuinely proud, and it is only up close that you notice that one of his legs is made from carved wood, meaning he wouldn't have been accepted in the imperial corps.

“I admit it does feel good to contribute.” Giving the man a warm smile “Anything that makes us feel like we are doing our part is worth doing.” Pausing for a moment to collect my thoughts “Who runs the company that makes the cans? Surely it’s not the Cannith family directly? I must admit I’m trying to find the person responsible for buying up all my livestock. I don’t feel I was given a fair price ... considering I wasn’t given an option. And I should like to find the person with whom I should take my grievance. Would you know whom I should speak to?” I state plainly and ask politely. Hoping he knows who is responsible for at least one of those things.
Uncle, Terin, Neris? Do you want to make any preparations, or are you waiting for the meet?
Parker, are you looking for anything particular?
Dart, the worker just shrugs: "All's I know is that these 'ere crates are bought an' paid fer by the army. Dunno who ye can go for fer any complaints ye might 'ave."

With your curiousity sated, you return back down to the docks, where the ferryman is awaiting you. You pay him the agreed- upon sum, and both you and Parker are quickly being ferried off to Rivington.
Rowing downriver, you notice the arge sets of water mills first, before spotting the bridges lined with anglers hoping to finish off their days with a good catch. Along the river banks you see dozens of small jettys for river barges and fishing vessels, and about thirty yards or so in, you see many drying racks where the daily catch is being salted and dried before processed further into either Rivington fish paste or Pickled fish, both local specialties.
Thanking the ferryman, you quickly mae for your meeting place. It doesn't take long for you to pick Ol' Finehair out from the rest of the crowd, since his lucious mane made him quite easy to identify. Waiting until he had finished with two other clients, he notices you and gives you the once-over with squinted eyes, seemingly because his eyesight is failing him.
"Who sent ya an' whaddya want from Ol' Finehair?"
Terin, Neris, Uncle- any of you nearby?
