"I think you may be in to something, there, but a better question might be why is it following us?" Ketrey ponders to the others "So how do we prevent it from following us, and how can we determine its purpose?"
"If I wasn't tuckered out, I could've totally made us fly for a while in order to lose it," Aurora sighs and bites her lip in frustration. "Oh, but I guess I would've needed to do that before invisibilty anyways, right?"
(OOC: I don't suppose we had time for a short rest?)
OOC: You've been hiking, fighting, and doing a lot of exercising. No short rest for you. That reminds me, how long does invisibility last, anyway? 1 hour. Okay, you can definitely keep it up for a while longer.
"Well, for now, I'm not sure it knows that we've seen it, and if we suddenly started changing our movement and actions by flying or something like that, we might tip it off along with anyone who would want to know where we are." Gregor observes. "For now, it may be a good idea to just keep following our Ogre and see if he leads us to his employer. If we want to do that, we should do our best to stay quiet once we're near the Ogres. They can't see us, but they can hear us, and if they have dire wolves or some other pet, those might be able to smell us even." he says, idly bringing his hands back to some of the gear on his backpack to make sure the strips of cloth, leather, and other materials he's tied to them in order to muffle the sound they make are still there and in good condition.
"On the other hand, if that Xorn is spying on us FOR Burk's Employer, as long as it's watching us, he may not be easily found as long as he knows where we are." Gregor notes, unconsciously tapping the headband of intellect on his head, which is slightly exposed just underneath his helmet. It seems to be helping him think quite a bit today. If he weren't so distracted with the thorniness of the current situation's problems, the half-orc might stop to realize that he'd likely never have had any of these good ideas without it. Gregor isn't dumb, but he usually isn't particularly sharp either.
Zane, noticing the xorn after Gregor pointed it out, takes a moment to think and then says, "I'll drop to the last in line and see if I can shake it off." He will then proceed to let others pass by and take up the last spot in the line. Picking a narrower spot on the trail, he will quietly drop two bags of Caltrops (bag of 20) to cover the area he thinks the xorn will take to follow them. He'll then continue to walk with others and peek back over his shoulder to see what happens...
OOC: It pops up now and again to make sure it's following the right people. It heard you talking about turning invisible and following Burk. Please remember that your characters do not know this.
Anyway, nothing crosses the caltrops but a hungry owlbear, which goes around them, so it doesn't count.

Burk turns around, says, "hey! Burk see owlbear!" and attacks it, braining the poor thing.

The owlbear jumps back and quickly lunges forward again, clawing and biting at poor Burk.
"Alright, but try to stay quiet, and keep your and eyes, nose, AND ears out for Dire Wolves or other 'dogs' that could smell us." Gregor replies, before following as quietly as he can. "If they discover us, I suggest we find a way to run rather than fight. Also... can anyone understand them? I don't speak Ogrish or any form of Giant."
The badly injured Burk is sleeping on a crude cot on the far side of the hut, with his pet dire wolf curled up in front of the cot. After a very nervous moment, you realize that it's asleep.
"That would make sense," Aurora says, rubbing her chin. "How else would they notice things when moving through the earth?"
"Or maybe it is just following Burk?" she adds with hope.
