Norbus and Dazlyn are sitting cross-legged in front of a fire that they just started. Norbus, without looking away from the fire, says, "Nice blade, ya have there. What is it that you're saying?"
Looking up from sharpening her axe, Andrømeda eyes the Dwarf for a moment, before shrugging a shoulder. "Den's a reminder, a... promise, to meg hild. My mother." She runs a thumb across the flat of the blade, smiling, before speaking again, "Den's in Jøtunn. Giants tongue. Meg stomm, my tribe, did trade vith de Jøtunn of de Kvit Peaks Mountains. Learnt it from dem a long time before Am vas born. All de kriggar speak it. Am grew using both, den's a hard to break habit, ja?" She laughs a bit, reaching up to tug at her ponytail. "So, mine Dvargen friends. Du are happy vith de things found here?"

"Not really, if I'm being honest," Norbus replies. "We were hoping for something more valuable. The one item that was truly valuable ended up being the bait for a trap." He grunts in frustration.
Dazlyn adds, "I will say, though, that it was valuable to our people to get to see first-hand how the temple was built and for us to be able to learn one or two things about the followers of Abbathor. I don't think it was a complete loss."
"Aye. You can't sell that, or put food in your belly with it," Norbus responds, "but aye, I supposed the elders back home will be at least somewhat pleased."
After the polite conversation dies down everyone in the party settles into their own rhythm - whether your characters sleep or not is up to you. At about 2:30pm you all start gathering up your things to get ready to head back to Phandalin. You bid Norbus and Dazlyn goodbye as they're going to stay behind to continue their research. They know to be on the lookout for the dragon and will reposition their camp to inside of the temple just to stay safe.
The 5-ish hour journey back to town is fairly uneventful. As the sun moves through the afternoon sky, the clouds begin to move in and over time everything gradiates from a deep blue to a pale yellow to a deep orange with hints of purples and pinks on the underside of the clouds. An evening breeze kicks up a little bit, but the temperature stays fairly comfortable. As you arrive in town, everything is open, but a few places, like Barthen's Provisions, and the Phandalin Miner's Exchange are going to be closing in the next 30 minutes or so. The inn that you've been staying at when you're in town, Stonehill Inn, is of course open later than everywhere else.
What you do from here is up to you. You can stick together or split up. You can do as little or as much as you want. Just remember that in the next 30 minutes, you'll have time to go to 2 places before everything except for the Inn closes down. As a reminder, here are the places you can go:
Townmaster's Hall & the job board (to collect your reward for completing the last 2 of the 3 quests, to check for new jobs, and to see if there is any "official" news)
Phandalin Miner's Exchange (where you will need to go to get your gems appraised)
Barthen's Provisions (general store - no armor or weapons)
Lionshield Coster (armor and weapons)
Shrine of Luck (Darrin, the tortle Cleric cares for the shrine and lives in a cottage right behind it)
Stonehill Inn (to get some dinner and potentially sleep for the night if you want to get back on a regular day/night schedule)
"It's been quite an adventure!" Kwisatz says to the party, continuing "I would like to check in with the townmaster first. Both to tell him we've completed our missions (and deliver this letter), as well as to see if there is any news of the dragon. I'm very curious to learn more of the creature."
"Am do not vish to see de head man, Am'm going to speak to Darrin at de temple etter vi ha our gilt." Andrømeda says, taking a couple of steps in the direction of the Exchange, looking around at everyone. "Am vil be seeking a drikke at de Inn when Am'm finished, if du all vish to meet later?"

((Okay, so I'll leave it up to you guys how we want to play this. On one hand, I think it could make for some cool RP if I PM'd each of you separately so that those of you that don't go to the same place don't necessarily get the same information (and it's up to you to communicate with each other). OR, I could just post everything here and in one place for convenience.))
((Alright. So, I think that half of you have said that you want to keep things in the thread. I'll go ahead and do that. Then, when Dipstick has a chance to chime in, we'll insert her choices, etc where they belong. Instead of using PMs, I do still want some degree of differentiation between where each of you go since you're splitting up, and I'll use spoiler boxes for that.))
To start, Sael, Kwisatzand Andrømedago to the Phandalin Miner's Exchange:
Kwiz and Andrømeda walk into the front door to the sound of a door chime. From previous encounters at the Exchange, you know that the guildmaster is a calculating human woman named Halia Thornton. As of right now, she seems to have neutral feelings to each of you. She barely notices you when you walk in, but you do see her briefly look up from what she's doing before looking back down. She's currently looking at a dark looking gemstone through a magnifying glass strapped to her head like a home-made hat.
Without taking her eyes off the task at hand, again, she dryly says, "What can I do for you?"
((Please keep your responses in a spoiler tag.))
Rush heads to the Stonehill Inn:
Rush walks in and it's slightly busier in the dining area than usual. The bartender/innkeeper, a short, friendly male human named Toblen Stonehill, is in the middle of a conversation when Rush first walks in. It sounds like he's talking to one of his dinner guests about apparently a person named Hang-root that was somehow responsible for the downfall of one of the earlier attempts at rebuilding Phandalin some decades ago. After he has a chance to finish his sentence, Mr. Stonehill politely excuses himself from his conversation, and walks over to greet Rush towards the entrance of the inn.
"Well, how are you, sir? Haven't seen you in a couple of days, but per our previous arrangement, I've kept your room for you. Will you be going up to your room, or will you be getting something to eat or drink? My wife has made an amazing stew tonight."
Let me know what you want Rush to do, but please use the spoiler feature.
((For now, I won't make any assumptions as to what Sael will do.))
“Oh. Yes. Dinner. Thank you.” Rush is pretty normally quiet.
For Rush:
The Mr. Stonehill shows you to the last table that is available in the dinning room, pulls your chair out for you and confirms that you want dinner and a drink. This isn't a fancy inn or anything, so they only have one thing on the menu each day. It costs 1sp for the whole meal.
"I'll be right back with your food and drink. Feel free to let me know if you need anything else, as well."
Sael is fine with taking care of the gems with everyone, and then she'd like to check out the job board real quick (and send a letter), and if there's time the Lionshield Coster, before heading to Stonehill Inn for a bit of food, a wash-up, and proper sleep. If necessary, she doesn't mind bunking with others.
((I wouldn't have minded the PM's - a little mystery is fun & exciting - but keeping it here works too.))

Rush pays for his meal and eats, waiting for someone he knows to show up.
For Rush:
After a few minutes, Mr. Stonehill comes back with an ale and some stew. He politely sets it down, smiles, then turns to go back to his conversation from before. "So, anyway, Hang-root was at the center of the whole thing. It was a massive explosion, or so the stories go. It took at least 15 years before anyone would even consider coming back this way to start building it up again."
Another small group of three (a human male, an elf female, and...you're not quite sure what race the other male is) sitting at another table is talking in hushed tones and you aren't able to hear what they're saying. The last group, a female Orc that looks to be on the small side of their race and a male Dragonborn are talking back and forth. You can hear the female Orc say, "It's no good when manticore and other beasts are pushed out of the mountains and start attacking." The Dragonborn just listens thoughtfully, nodding in agreement.
"Hels dir, friend." Andrømeda responds with her usual boisterousness, shrugging off her backpack and beginning to rifle through it. "Meg companions and Am ha some perler's for du to look at." As she speaks she begins pulling out the gem's, passing 5 of them to Sael and 5 to Kwisatz, standing and holding the last 5 of them out for Halia to see.
