Lyngheid, with your 15 feet of movement speed, you can barely get to the edge of the hallway. But, with your initiative, the undead will go first and it may be a moot point.

Their claw attacks can cause paralyzation. Being next to the creature's stench might cause you to be poisoned. Some of them have resistance to necrotic damage and may be more difficult to Turn.

You all get a good look at the creatures as they start to run towards you. They are foul and humanoid with mottled, decaying flesh drawn tight across clearly visible bones. They are mostly hairless with sharp teeth and jagged claws and eyes that burn like hot coals in their sunken sockets.
Whistler, never one to back down from a nasty, runs 30 feet straight ahead and makes ready with his sword. Owlbear follows.
Ireniana hugs the eastern wall and keeps her back to it.
Ireniana's darkvision lets her see more of the ruined dining hall. Whistler's glowing sword casts strange shadows throughout the room and illuminates a bit more of the western ledge, where the ghasts and ghouls are forming up!
The pack of ghouls and ghasts stirs, and they come for the party, snarling and drooling.
Some run at Whistler and Owlbear, some run for Ireniana, and some run for the rest of the group in the hallway.
G7 leaps off the escarpment in his blind haste. Athletics: 2, and it lands in a crunch of dead bones, prone and taking 5 bludgeoning damage, before dragging itself back up and rushing at Whistler.
GS3 does the same thing: Athletics: 8, crunching to the bottom for 4 bludgeoning damage before scraping itself off the ground and heading for Ireniana.
G9 follows suit: Athletics: 13, but this one lands on it's feet, continuing the charge!
Ireniana's readied attack goes off, and slices into GS3!
GS6 can't see the rest of the party and beelines it for Ireniana: Athletics: 9, it stumbles down the escarpment for 3 bludgeoning damage before dashing over to her.
G6 runs for the party in the hallway, leaping off the escarpment: Athletics: 16, sticking the landing!
G2 follows suit: Athletics: 4, and takes 3 bludgeoning damage as it falls over the edge.
The rest of the ghouls and ghasts use the stairs. And they all have to Dash to get within range, so no one gets attacked yet. But it's a scene straight out of a Zombie movie as Whistler, Owlbear, ireniana are surrounded and the party is blockaded in the hallway by a wall of living dead flesh.
Whistler, Ireniana, Baeshra, on your next turn, if you start within 5 feet of a ghast, you must make a DC10 Constitution save or be Poisoned until the start of your next turn. If you succeed, you are immune for 24 hours.
The party is up, Whistler and Ireniana for Round 2, everyone else for Round 1.

Umbriel sighs, because he is trying something new and he isn't sure how well it's going to work. He'll use one of the last two charges on the Spider Staff to cast spider climb on himself, and hope that his 'Among the Dead' feature keeps him from taking too many hits. He'll say to the group near him "I've got to help them!" as he starts walking up the wall, to the ceiling, and along the ceiling to the middle of the chamber, almost directly overhead of Whistler (or as far as he can get).

Umbriel tries out the spider staff, and is delighted to find that when he puts his foot on the wall it sticks. The magic of the spell must help him get the hang of it, because he starts running up the wall and onto the ceiling, trying to get above Whistler. Now he's on the ceiling, upside down, with the blood rushing to his head.
Droop tries to squeeze past the two clerics, then looks and realizes there are a lot more to squeeze past, so he steps back to where he was and shouts to Whistler "Big bird, attack!"(Commander's Strike: Droop uses his attack and bonus action so Whistler can use his Reaction to make an attack.)
Rosie squeezes through Lyngheid and Nyx, and then closes her eyes for an instant. She opens them, grabs her holy symbol and shouts "Wild Mother, drive these foul beasts away!" Action: Turn Undead, each undead within 30 feet must make a DC15 Wis Save or be TURNED.
G6, G8, G4, G9, G10, G2, GS5 are turned until they take damage and will use their turn to run away from Rosie.
Rosie follows this up with her Spiritual Weapon and attacks GS2: 24, damage: 9.
Lyngheid tries to move forward, but realizes it's too stuffed up with Rosie and Baeshra in the way, hopefully when the ghouls start Turning, she'll be able to make some headway. She casts Spiritual Weapon and follows Rosie's lead to land attack GS2. (shield of faith is a second level spell, so can't cast both in the same turn.)
