Fargoth, at the rear of the group, stops for a moment, taking in the sight in front of him, mouth slightly open in awe. This was a moment that confirmed to him he made the right choice in giving up poaching, and becoming an adventurer.... despite the wound in his arm. He catches up with the others, still staring at the fortress in front of him. "This is certainly something... why do you think it was built down here?"
As Doc proceeds ahead of Roland followed closely behind by Kindra, Baymen observes Fargoth's amazement at the Citadel.
Baymen responds, "Indeed it is. There are many like it, but none will be exactly the same. In that way, I'd imagine it was built to protect something inside. As to what, is the nature of each and every adventure."
Baymen will wait for Fargoth, and watch carefully behind the group every so often in moments of brief and careful pause. He's already been bit in the neck today, stabbed in the back might actually make him upset.
Since he's looking around anyway, he'll keep a hand on whatever wall he can, and look around at the stonework if nothing else is there. He's seen some carvings in his time, maybe he could actually answer what this place is protecting...or how it is protected? (i.e. Runic Anti-Magic Markings)
"So how do we do this?" The wood-elf glances between the tower and the citadel proper, and then back the way they came. "Should we investigate that tower first?"
Fargoth examines the tower from afar, particularly with regards to visibility from any viewing platform/windows near the top of it.
Kindra casts Produce Flame but does not throw it, instead letting it light the way forward. She sends Ashlar across the courtyard toward the tower to confirm that the path is clear and safe, then starts to step into the courtyard. She stops short.
She takes out one of the iron rods that she got in Secomber, then uses it to tap in front of her as she makes her way forward; if she taps the floor and it crumbles beneath the rod, she won't walk on it.
Fargoth nocks another arrow, wincing in pain as his bad arm feels the tension in the bow. He keeps his eyes peeled for the rats, slowly sidestepping to get a better view.
Baymen turns and begins to follow Doc and Kindra.
He stops in his tracks and looks for any trace of the other rats. He'll smear them as well with his other boot.
Then he'll go back and follow behind Doc again.
Kindra will be in the middle, using her darkvision to see through the pitch-blackness in shades of red.

Roland will be toward the back, in front of Fargoth.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Doc is willing to either go first or last to let the "squishier" members be safer towards the middle.
