(So, while there’s a lull in the action, I’m thinking of ordering pizza. What does everybody want on theirs? For full disclosure, I ordered pepperoni and bacon on mine. At least, this time.)
ROUND 4 Lok (18): as posted, Spiders (15) as posted, Throm CON save pass, LOK CON save fail
Lia (11): LSw vS6, miss x2 Throm (8): vS6, hit x2 9+7 piercing, S6 DEAD Quin (8): EB1 vS0, hit 10 force, S0 DEAD; EB2 miss, EB3 vS3, hit 8 force, EB4 vS3, hit 15 force Hatch (5): miss x3 (change action?)
ROUND 5 Lok (18): 21/20 9 , 20/8 miss Daggers vS3, hitx2, 9+7 piercing, S3 DEAD
Lia (11): <-- up to here Throm (8): Quin (8): Hatch (5):
Plunged into sudden darkness, Lia struggles to make contact with the spider, her longsword swiping through air and webs. Throm listens carefully to the spider's scuttling as it dodges Lia's swings, his senses heightened by rage, and aiming through hearing only manages to plant two more bolts in the spider, stopping it dead.
Hatch likewise struggles to find purchase for his axe in the sudden darkness despite his fiendish heritage, but Quin's eye penetrate through the gloom, and her blazing blasts of energy finish off Hatch's opponent and put two more scorching wounds in Lok's spider. Lok's daggers stab down into the screeching writhing beast, and Lok can feel the spider's juices staining his hands as it too ceases to move.
A cry of rage from about 20 feet away is heard as the last of the spiders and their kind are vanquished. The darkness suddenly lifts, and through the shadows and the webs, a huge figure is seen standing between the wine racks. At first glance is appears to be a female elf riding on an enormous spider, but it quickly becomes apparent that the elf's torso merges into the spider body in a grotesque hybrid. With a snarl of contempt and anger, the creature lifts a bow and fires three rapid shots at the slayer of the last of its pets, with Lok taking two arrows in the leg, and feeling the burn of poison yet again in his veins.
16 damage to Lok (correct me if I'm wrong). No-one else injured this round. I've been posting the damage but not tracking it, so shout out if you are getting low.
Throm, now that he can see again, sees his fellow barbarian bloodied and in a snap strategic decision moves to a flanking position on Lok’s far side from the group. He is thinking that we will force this monstrosity to focus on only one grouping, opening its flanks to the other group(s). Upon arrival he shouts to the drider in common, “Come and get some, you weak failure of Lolth!”, and then proceeds to launch his volley of bolts (wishing that he had something magical at level 8).
Oh, I forgot to say ... Vakanai: Hatch's combat target was dead by the time your last attack happened, so if you want to substitute a different action for last round, then you can. Can even do the Lay on Hands / Pro Poison last round and something different this round, or whatever you like.

Quin runs to where Throm and Lok are. As if she is feeding off the anger of both Throm and the Spider thing, she feels very angry but very focused. She has learned that Agonizing Blast (Eldritch Blast on steroids essentially) is very satisfying and she sees she has 2 sorcery points left and quickens them with the cantrip from hell.

Alright, I'll have Lay on Hands and Protection from Poison be last round then, and this round I'll run at the drider and attack.
(FYI: There’s been a death in the family and I will be traveling and might be inactive for up to a week. You have my character sheet and can play Throm as a NPC, should you wish. If possible, I will log in and catch up. I’m sure the distraction will be good for me. Sorry for the inconvenience.)

OOC: Oh no Throm, I'm so sorry. Good luck this week. Don't worry about inconvenience. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. In the end, love is all that matters. Best wishes for your journey.

Actually I just did a quick audit:
Lia (60) and Hatch (68) uninjured
Throm (70/77) lost 19 but regained 12, so 7 HP down
Quin (50/61) 11 HP down
Lok (53/77) 24 HP down

Im sorry for your loss, take your time and take care of yourself.
(Also, question: If Hatch changed his healing to the previous turn, do I still take the 16 damage from the arrows since that would happen afterwards?)
(I would assume I would have healed you immediately after that making that the end of the turn)
