(You can't do nonlethal damage with ranged attacks, which is what impaled him.)
Also, non-lethal damage is a bit metagamy
So, the goblin is back up at one hit point. The wounds on him heal, the spear is removed from his back, and he is awake.

Beornrun, you need to make an athletics or acrobatics check against the grapple.
