OOC - I asked the three Perception checks from Farnakees, because he initially said he was going down the whole corridor. I'll tell Lathalas when he should make a Perception check.
Lathalas started to lift the barrel when he immediately realized it was too light, then it began to fall apart on him.
OOC - The barrel has been rigged to fall apart, spilling its contents onto the floor. Because Lathalas made a successful Dexterity save, he's able to hold it together for a few seconds, enough time for one action. Tell me what that action is.
OOC - What square do you want to jump to? If it's more than 5 feet away from J7, you're going to have to make an Acrobatics check. Also, the rest of the party are in the G-H-7-8 square when this happens.
Lathalas jumps clear as the barrel falls apart (the Geman judge gave him a 5 -- he cleared the landing, but he lacked style). The party hears the sound of glass breaking as the contents of the barrel fall to the floor. A greenish liquid spreads out from where the barrel was, reaching up to the feet of Farnakess and Rastaris. There is a hissing sound as the greenish liquid touches the broken furniture, and the smell of rotten eggs fills the air.
OOC: Farnakees and Rastaris can make a Dexterity save to avoid the spreding pool of greenish liquid.
OOC - I can't see the breakdown of rolls. All I get is a swirly. Sigh. You guys have been rolling pretty well so far. My traps and monsters are due for a turn of luck ...
OOC - Lathalas, you guys are under the inn now. That means you should be surrounded by bedrock, which also means no place for rats to pass through. The holes in the walls of the storeroom (most are on the west side) suggest this is not the case. Mithrokk, please make a Perception or Investigation check (your choice).
OOC - Rastaris and Alianna, the list of items is what you can recover from all the intact crates in the storeroom.
OOC - Lathalas, roll a d6 and multiply it by 10 to see how far you throw your lighted rat. Also roll a Constitution check since you''ve been playing with a dead rat (to check for disease).
Mithrokk stops to ponder the question and focus. In reply to the nimble elf’s query, he says, “Friend Lathalas, my Dwarven senses tell me I should have had something to eat before rushing down here. I seem to have a rumbly in my tumbly.”
"Mithrokk, do your dwarven senses tell you that we are underneathe the Peryton inn or ... elsewhere?"
OOC: Lathalas asked Farnakees to throw the rat.
Lathalas Constitution check: 9
Lathalas: "Would that I did not get to *know* these vermin so intimately."
What were the results of the three Perception checks? (Post 337)

Lathalas jumps away.
OOC: I am disturbed by the word “rigged”.

OOC: I write this in anticipation that Pao will choose to make the Acrobatics check and succeeds.
The German judge gives him an 8. ☹️
Lath be nimble; Lath be quick! Lath jumps to H9! (Lath also has the German judge in his poor, poor pocket.)
Acrobatic: 17

OOC: I would have words (and fists) with this German judge. He wouldn't *know* style if it punched him in the mouth.
OOC - Nice update, Pao! Thanks, that's perfect! Let's just see if Rastaris and Farnakees can avoid the spillover like Lathalas did.
Dexterity Save: 3
OOC - I can't see the breakdown of rolls. All I get is a swirly. Sigh. You guys have been rolling pretty well so far. My traps and monsters are due for a turn of luck ...
Rastaris evades the greenish pool.
Perception: 4

"Rastaris, would you check to see if we can still reach the inn through those stairs?"
OOC: What stairs?
OOC: The stairs we used to get to the cellar from the inn. Wondering if we've been transported elsewhere.
OOC: I don't think I have anything to ascertain that right now. Unless I cast detect magic (10 minute cast time) and check the stairs.
