OOC: We can use that dice roller fix for now; just make the rolls and add the modifiers.
OOC: Um, a rope ladder? Really? You got any relevant tool proficiency that might apply, I'll allow it. Otherwise ... Mithrokk and Farnakess can easily smash through the wall. You'll need to make an Athletics check to climb down; the check will be made with Advantage if you use a rope, but I'll require someone stay topside to hold the rope.

To the DM: Can we use the extra rope we have to tether ourselves to reduce the risk of falling. Is there a way we can secure the rope at the top like securing it with pitons?
Farnakees asks Rastaris the Red-Hatted One: "Would it be easier to get to the bottom if we were able to find the source of the water from the surface on the Northern collapsed portion? From your description, the stream goes down at a slope. It's not a waterfall. If the source of the stream is on the surface, and if it flows is less right now, the hole leading down might be exposed. It might be safer to punch through there and not have to climb down"
OOC: Mike, can you draw us a simple map of the area? Where are we in relation to the ziggurat? Right above the ziggurat? Does the collapsed portion lead anywhere? How wide is the 10-footziggurat? Is there anything atop it?
OOC: Mike, do we need to roleplay the whole Phandalin and buying equipment action or can we just say we're buying x, y, and z then get on with the ziggurat?
OOC: If you're going to Phandalin first, then I'll describe your visit to the town. You're supposed to make a delivery, remember?
OOC: Farnakees can make a Survival check to look for a water source on the surface. That means you're leaving the cellar, though.
OOC: If you want a better description of the chamber, then you'll have to go in. No need for a map yet; Theater of the Mind descriptions will do for now.

To the DM: Would I be able to know how high the water fills the room (when the stream water is has a strong flow)?
OOC - I'll rule that you need to examine the room in person.
OOC: I get the same thing. I can see the result but just the swirly thing when I mouse over the result to see the breakdown. Is that what you mean?
OOC: Ayuh. I used to be able to check the results, to see if it correctly factored in advantage, for example. Now I just get the swirly.

OOC: So should we change the way we post rolls? Raw results only then add modifiers on the post? Roll twice for advantage / disadvantage?
Sample:
Attack:15 + 5 =
Damage: 4 + 3 =
OOC: Yeah, that would be the workaround... :-)
OOC: Are there Zombies down there? Testing tooltips: Mouse over the word Zombie
OOC: Testing spoiler
Testing to see if we can use this for if this then do this
type of thing
OOC: How do you make spoilers?
To the DM: Rastaris informs the rest of the group about the results of his reconnaissance trip.
We'll need to make a hole in the wall big enough for us to get through. And we need a way to get down at least 40 feet.
To the DM: Would it be possible to craft a rope ladder for us to use to get down to the chamber floor.
OOC: We can use that dice roller fix for now; just make the rolls and add the modifiers.

OOC: You used those pitons already; you hammered them into the ceiling. How are you going to pull them out? Go to town and buy new stuff!
OOC: What do we want to do when we climb down?
Lathalas wonders what happened to the longbow he was just holding.
"Let's go to town and buy some needed equipment. Then we can tackle this 40 foot drop."

OOC: Figured out how to do the spoiler thing.
OOC: If X then
Do this: Attack: 18 Damage: 6
OOC: Otherwise
Do this: Attack: 14 Damage: 9
