Torrent will take Tarek's hand to stand up. "Thanky friend. I'm tired of these beasts." Torrent will start limp running after the toad that Fluin and Ulben are NOT chasing.

Brushing past Tarek, Torrent breaks through the line of trees out onto the open marsh to pursue the toad. Tarek, who follows suit, quickly overtakes him, leading the way 60 feet behind the toad, while Torrent trails behind at 75 feet, and Anakis brings up the rear.
Since Tarek went with Anakis and Torrent, I guess that means Aluzira goes with Ulben and Fluin. She trails just 10 feet behind Fluin as they run deeper into the wood.
Ulben, you're in the lead in your pursuit of the toad that's leaping away into the wood, with Fluin and Aluzira coming up behind you, dashing through the difficult terrain. You can hear the toad crashing through the foliage up ahead, by which you can tell that it's 60 feet away from you, although it's screened from view by dense vegetation on all sides. What do you do?
Fluin follows 10 feet behind Ulben, approaching from the left, and runs straight into a swarm of biting midges that try to bite him as he passes through. Attack: 10 Damage: 10
The toad continues to hop wildly forward, taking two great bounding leaps, but on its second landing, its legs become entangled in the vines, and it falls prone with a loud crash about 70 feet ahead of Ulben.
You hear the toad fall too, Aluzira, about 120 feet away, by the sound of it. As you approach from the left (you're even further left than Fluin), your path forward to the toad comes close to a patch of razorvine. You can avoid it by using an extra 10 feet of your movement, or you must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw to avoid being slashed by it. What do you do?
Yes, once they attack Fluin, the swarming midges are apparent from their buzzing, but Fluin easily dodges them and swats them out of his way as he runs past them.
Having lost some ground to avoid the razorvine, Aluzira, you end up 95 feet from where you heard the noise of the falling toad. The wood ahead of you becomes suddenly quiet, however, and neither you, nor Ulben, nor Fluin can determine where the toad has gone in the dense wood which surrounds you.
Anakis, climbing over the body of the toad that tried and failed to eat Torrent, you can peer out from the trees at the toad 90 feet away from you, fleeing across the frozen marsh with Tarek and Torrent on its trail before you. You can also see that the toad is beginning to look exhausted. What do you do?
(Does Anakis have a clear shot at the toad being chased by Tarek and Torrent?)
If so, Anakis pulls her dark energy into a fire bolt in her palm before throwing it at the exhausted looking toad (Attack: 9 Damage: 8), then continues chasing it at full movement.
The fiery bolt catches the toad unawares and hits it in the rear flank. It takes two great leaps across the marsh, slipping on the ice as it lands prone in the mud.
Torrent, following Tarek out onto the open marshland with the prone toad lying 115 feet ahead of you, you become aware of a large creature that has broken through the line of trees past the frozen pond, 160 feet behind you and to your left, and is bearing down on you. From its sprawling gait, elongated maw, green scaly skin, and long tail, it looks to be one of the giant lizards that has been reported in northern parts of the bog. It joins the chase and seems to have marked you as its quarry. What do you do?
Tarek, you also notice the giant lizard that's running up behind Torrent as he begins to catch up to you. Licking its lips, clearly the lizard is interested in whichever of you winds up in last place! The prone toad, floundering to regain its feet, lies 100 feet ahead of you. What do you do?
"Er... this is not what I signed up for," Tarek sighs as he spots the giant lizard, then refocuses his attention on the toad. He will use his turn to dash to get as close to the toad as possible, but also to avoid the lizard.
The lizard is caught off guard by the steep bank of a dried up watercourse that leads to the frozen pool. It traverses the drop successfully, however, and dashes forward across the marsh, keeping pace with Tarek and Torrent.
Ulben, you last heard the toad 70 feet in front of you, crashing through the underbrush, although now all in the wood is quiet. Behind you, out on the marsh, you can see the rest of the group pursuing the other toad and being pursued, in turn, by the giant lizard. What do you do?
Sorry, I should have said that by “the rest of the group” I meant Tarek, Torrent, and Anakis. Fluin and Aluzira are still with you. Can you specify who or what you are following?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Int check to see which direction would be better to go. I'm so unsure what Ulben would do right now, so DM you can make a choice on which way he should go.
(DM Question in preparation for my turn - I know you'll give distances and description of enemy positions, however I wanted to know about nearby trees as Anakis' turn gets closer. Just to explain my thoughts - I'm assuming Anakis would see this lizard come out and bear down on Tarek & Torrent given I'm behind them, but I wanted to try and climb a tree and shoot the lizard from up the tree to draw it away but stay safe. Whether that works or not, only the rolls will tell, but that's the idea at this point.)

"As am I," Tarek begins to smile, and chase the toad with Torrent.
"Goo, gooo, ggoo, good, maybe we should just leave them." Ulben is scared out of his mind.

Double dash to try and keep up with him.

The way forward is choked with roots and vines.
Fluin follows 10 feet behind Ulben, approaching from the left, and runs straight into a swarm of biting midges that try to bite him as he passes through. Attack: 10 Damage: 10

Aluzira skirts around the razorvine, and if she can, dashes forward, trying to catch up to the others.

It's a clear shot, and you have advantage due to attacking from your unseen location, so roll again to see if your bolt hits.
(ok, rolling again - 15)
The fiery bolt catches the toad unawares and hits it in the rear flank. It takes two great leaps across the marsh, slipping on the ice as it lands prone in the mud.

Torrent will cry out and yell "Watch fer the reptile behind me! Blasted thing has a hell of a bite!"
Torrent wants to sprint as close the the prone toad as he can. It helps that this puts more distance between the reptilian monster and himself.
