Grenl nods and nods to a couple commoners, who scoop up the items and disappear.
Elosa swoops into the covered circular structure and finds a perch within. She causes some consternation among the shuffling goblins but their dismay at the owl is less than their fear of Grenl, who seems to be okay with it. Ithelion, inside the room there are several cots, one of which has Sharpie on it. She looks rough and is being tended to by another goblin. On the floor there are lots of bloodstains and a few bodies - it seems there was a bit of a melee before Durnn was subdued.
At the back of the circular room, Elosa spies an opening in the wall and a shaft that seems to lead downwards. Several goblins are working on passing materials and packs through this opening. The goblins seem to be being cautious about making noise...
(( Aha! But 'X' never marks the spot, I saw that in a movie... So...that's the goblin path; I'm just not sure what everyone wants. Ithelion votes 'goblin' ))
(( Elosa checked the corridors that 7BC opens to, and flew their length I believe; she has Passive perception of 18, so should have had a decent chance to notice anything odd. I also believe all the nearby (goblineville) doors are explored -- except maybe the rubbish heap, Ithelion took one look and closed the door. There remain several unexplored doors in kobold kindgom, and prior ))
Ithelion - Your owl did explore it, it is very dark so she sees things in dim light. This would negate the advantage/disadvantage to her passive.
(( Good point; I assume Shere actually asks... ))
Ithelion shrugs as she examines all the items with her spell, "Elosa checked, but not thoroughly. If someone wants to go look, I'll send Elosa with them. Or we can wait until everyone who wants to rest is rested."
"Actually...I'll walk down there too, once I've finished this room."
(( Once Detect Magic has been used on the items, she repacks them, hefts her backpack, then walks around the room. Next she asks Daemyar and Krom to walk up the corridor with her and Elosa -- and a light source -- before the spell runs out, leaving Garnet with Shere and Erky ))
Nothing new shows up on detect magic, just the items that you all currently own. The hilt shows faint traces of enchantment but it isn't much and has likely diminished greatly over time.

Ithelion nods, "Then unless Krom has a pressing reason to go back, we take the path down..."
When everyone is ready, she turns to Erky. "You are welcome to travel with us, and you should be aware that the kobolds may be here at any time. I do not believe that they hold any love for you..."
You all begin to make your way down to where the "x" is. It seems to be a stone carved stairway that leads downwards. It seems like it goes about 40 feet or so into the gloom. I am assuming you are proceeding cautiously and with Daemyar in the front.... if that is accurate, please all roll stealth checks please...
Is this the way we go?

(( It's where we are in think, though there is an exit from thenround room, iirc. Or the other one. I did find that confusing and need to reread
...and, as I wrote before, we could head back and settle things with the kobolds and explore the unexplored areas. I dont mind. ))
There is a giant green “X” on the map, near the back of the circular room, that Elosa watched them all go through.

(Garnet votes Goblin.)
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
And this is (I think) the most recent Map, if people want details of where the deeply misleading and suspicious-looking 'X' is.
@DM: Did the detect magic reveal anything from the items (old and new) and within 30' of the room (she will walk the perimiter)?
ooc: remind me whats behind the doors in this room? Like the one in 7BC has anyone looked for secret doors in there?
