“Says there’s death beyond that door.” Alyssa would blurt nonchalantly with her more natural but gentle upbeat tone. It went with the curse theme, so it wasn’t surprising. “Want me to try it?” She’d add, offering to try to open the door if none of them wanted too.
“Let’s stay with trying one at a time, ok...” Leon suggests. He nods to the one he had tried to open with his mage hand. “I’m going to try giving that one a shove...” He waits till the others are ready, then does so, moving to the door and puttin ghis hsoulder into it.
The door flinched a little, proving that at least it indeed has to be pushed to be opened, but it seemed a stronger force would be needed to enter whatever room was behind.

Ramious looks up, "Oh, uh, lemme give you a hand." He cautiously approaches Leon, the axe in one hand, his other open towards Leon, as if expecting the Githyanki to wave him away...but when he (presumably) does not, Ramious nods to him and they both put their shoulder into the door.

That sure helped, may be even more than everyone hoped: once the door was bashed, it gave way suddenly, dumping the gate-crushers into a narrow space ahead. And then both suddenly disappeared. There was no warning, no flashlight, no screaming - Ramious and Leon fall into the doorway and simply vanished.
Alyssa would blink. She wasn’t sure if her eyes were playing tricks on her at first. She’d look to Bugs before moving up to the doorway to investigate. Where did they go?
That was a good question that did not have any immediate answer, though: the small dark room behind the door was empty. Some unfamiliar glyphs - barely visible and looking like magical symbols could be recognized among the cracks on the floor. But no sign of Leon or Ramious.
"Uh... what?" Bernard says and looks back and forth between Alyssa and the door. "Should we go through the door after them? Or can you read the the symbols, they might help reveal somthing."
Magical symbols that could mean anything. You did not come across something like this here before and who knows what kind of spells and their variations were used hundreds of years ago in that isolated place.
“Too ancient for my knowledge.” Alyssa would shrug, still unable to provide any useful information. “May as well go through together.” She’d agree. “At this point we’re split.” It was probably best not to be separated in here.
When Bernard and Alyssa bravely tested her idea of going through the door, it proved to be sound or at least safe - they did not end up in pit of lava or acid, but felt a solid smooth ground under their feet and when heads stopped spinning after teleportation even recognized the surroundings: the long room past Nereid's pool. The door to the next corridor remained open, but still no sign of Leon and Ramious.
However, in the complete silence of the place both could hear a distant echo of footsteps. The path was familiar and might as well be still safe.

Bernard looks about and recognizes the room they appeared it. "Well we didn't die so that good, but they are not here either... I know where we went the first time maybe they went a different place." He would get low to the ground and examine the tracks their foot steps had made. From them he's trying to see if Ramious and Leon went a different direction.
The dusty floor does hold your tracks - all of you, and some do lead through the door but it's hard to tell the new one from the old one. Still, Alyssa checked around and could say for sure, the tracks do not lead back - if Ramious and Leon were here as well, they left the room through that door, returning to the "cat" room. Faint echo also sounded familiar (of course, that could be your imagination).
The corridor behind the door looked empty and safe, just as you left it some time ago.
There was no point of standing around. The sound ahead quieted down completely, but as you passed by familiar corridors - the "zombie" fighting ground, the room with the dead monks (or whoever they were) you thought you could noticed fresher tracks (more zombie ash in the monk's room, the bloodied footprint from recent stepping into the pool of blood on the floor). Eventually you came to the stone block and were glad to see the way through - did not Ramious say it will last only an hour?
The "cat" room remains silent with all it's many-doors splendor. Statues of cat-people are still and quiet. The secret door behind the calendar is still opened. (There is some movement in there too)
Ramious turns back as the other two approach, "Oh, hey there. You came after us. Wasn't sure that was going to be possible so we headed straight back to you. Good thing I had my axe so I could make a new passage through that stone." He smiles, then....looks a bit uncomfortable and looks back to his feet. "So....try another door then?"

One of the shapes moving inside had very familiar wings - Bernard was absolutely sure he recognized Ramious and did not bother to hide anyhow.
Leon and Ramious in turn heard the noise from the "cat room" to familiar to be anything but Alyssa and Bernard. Th party was reunited.
