„Tymora favors me again. Double or nothing, good sir!“

„When we were attacked during our voyage they did their share of fighting. Funderburk, the Vedalken, is more sage than fighter, but willing to risk his blue skin for others. Boosey appears like a fool sometimes, rest assured he can turn the tides in a fight. Our ranger companion will be a great asset if we have to travel through this terrible jungle. About the woman... I don’t know her, she says she is on a quest given to her by Ubtao, and we are involved. Anyway, money isn’t the proper incentive for any of them. It’s knowledge, a divine quest or getting a good stoory to tell in the taverns across the Shining Sea.“
“I don’t want to steal all your money, maybe another round this evening. If you excuse me I’m intrigued by this market I was told about. I want to see what it has to offer, I will return in time for dinner.“ I clap him on the shoulder, give a sailor‘s salute and make my way towards the market. I’ll tuck my money under my shirt, but put 10 silver into a small poorly made bag on my belt.
It’s called Mask‘s purse. Easy to cut open by cutpurses, another thiefs can see I was already robbed and are supposed to be deterred by that fact.
Funderburk thinks of a new course of action they could take. "We should meet back up with Allister and share what we have gathered alternatively. Afterwards, we need to rest. The sun is setting, and it would be wise to be in a safer position than to sit here outside waiting for anything to happen."
"My idea is that we should all gather in the morning, around a breakfast and decide our next course of action. We need to not tarry, anything can happen. But we shouldn't also rush, we all need the rest." He looked to Boosey, "You mentioned that someone had invited us for a dinner yes? If that is true, we could possibly stay the night there also. Might be cheeper than the inn Clove and I had found along our journey through the market. However, If we cannot stay, let us go to the inn. Either way, I think we better start now with sticking together or going into groups. This Death Curse is a confusing one for certain."
With that, Funderburk waiting for his companions decisions.
If anyone else has anything to say to Jezzine or each other, by all means, but unless there is any other business anyone wants to take care of, we can skip to the meeting with Horace and Zindar. That shouldn't take very long either. Boosey, you can easily find new garmets for 5 silver pieces.
To Funderburck. "Yes, things have moved quickly with Allister", and I relate all that happened in the harbourmasters office to the others. "We do indeed have an invite for dinner, as long as you don't mind being aboard ship again."
He thinks carefully for a moment before going on. "It makes sense for us all to be together again, and our paths appear to be converging. If we return to the docks we should be able to find Allister."
To Jezzine, "Thank you My Lady. You're information has been more than valuable, may Tymora's blessing always be upon you."
Allister is walking across the market, taking in sounds and smells unknown to him. He tries to avoid attention, never meeting a vendor‘s gaze or standing for too long at any stall. His goal is simply to get a feeling for his new surroundings and assess the offered good for future use in a jungle expedition. When he is done he walks back to the harbor and visits the dockyard, again assessing the capabilities for refurbishing the schooners to be more effective in hunting down the pirates. He makes mental notes for the upcoming dinner with Captain Horace and Zindar on his way back to the harbormaster‘s office.
Jezzine bids Boosey and the others farewell and wishes them the good fortune of Tymora in their travels. On the way through the marketplace they run into Allister who is making his way through the sea of market stands.
I need Allister to roll a survival check please. Funderburk, can you roll a perception check please?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As they walk through to the marketplace, Sthara speaks openly.
"It is a shame that the priestess could provide no more information about this curse or the relic that she mentioned. But then, what sort of journey would it be if we were to follow a line down a path?"
Continuing, she keeps her eyes peeled for any more of the foreign mercenaries in the streets (Perception 17 if needed).
"Would it be worth our time to try and arrange a meeting with a merchant prince? Jezzine did say they were offering rewards for finding the source of this curse and ending it, so they may know more about it as well."
There are Flaming Fist soldiers about if that's what you mean. They aren't on every street corner or anythimg, but it'd be hard to walk through this much of the city and not see a couple.

Here is my perception check: 8
"I will agree with you on that one miss Sthara." He then remembers, "Ah, by the way, I don't believe we have been well acquainted. My name is Funderburk Itac, though I go by Funderburk." He slightly bows to her in a good manner.
The Vedalken smiles then continues walking, thinking to himself and keeping his hands busy once more by either pulling the hood down further to hide his face, or to crease out any creases that have appeared on his cloak to make is as perfect as possible.
That's actually pretty funny, got an 8. I have a question though, since my passive perception is 15, am I able to just go with that, or do I still go with my 8?
To Sthara "It's not much to go on, but it's a start. I don't know which is the bigger danger, the artefact itself, or the creature that created it. It seems that both will have to be destroyed to cleanse the world of this curse."
As we walk through the market I find and purchase some clothing in the local style, being of smaller stature clothing that would be appropriate for a human child.
"Speaking to the merchant princes may help us find allies and equipment, if not here, elsewhere in Chult. How would we arrange a meeting, although I fear we may be expected soon by the harbourmaster?"
As Allister rejoins the party. "How was your meeting with Zindar?" and I relate what we have found out about the death curse. "A good meal and some rest wouldn't go amiss now."

Haha. I didn't even notice that myself. Those rolls were pretty good then! I edited that last post to accommodate.

"Hah! Tymora my ass. You have played this before."
15 as a Wisdom check to see if I stop gambling. If I failed I’ll ask for another round double or nothing. Otherwise I stop and take my winnings
That's a pretty good roll for your own save. I think Allister has the sense to stop here if he likes.

20 //That's correct. You always use your passive if it's higher. The passive is there to save time and often works behind the scenes.\\
