Rosemary blushes and takes the hand. "Oh, usually I steal people's faith, so this is a first."She orders an ale and picks out a few coins. Since she's ordered a few for herself, she's already been told the price before, but now struggles to remember it. She puts the purse away, certain someone was going to remind her of it.
"I'm Rosemary. You look like you've run into trouble. I've seen that look before out here, it seems it's more difficult to find some peace on land than one would expect." She takes another sip of her cup, thinking of the sea before pushing the thought aside. "I hope I'm not keeping you from your Helen?"
Chazrael watches the commotion from his table. He is a stout halfling with a high-and-tight haircut and a mustache. He has a general unpleasant disposition and has refrained from too much conversation with the others, save for the occasional nod. He glances at the mule, seemingly the only living being he wants to talk to in this place.

"Rosemary, a pleasure. If I may be so bold, I would imagine you've stolen more hearts than faith," Halec says, mildly flirtatious in his tone. "It has been a bit of a farce since I arrived. I was checking the bounty board at the Adventurer's Chateau, Helen was waiting outside, and when I went out there was that man, that dwarf, manhandling her and stealing. She gave him a good swift kick in the head, but the slippery fellow ran off, leading me and the local constabulary on a merry chase until he was finally cornered, here. Oh, Helen may have forgotten the whole event by now, but after this drink I really should escort her to the inn I am staying at and get her settled in. Perhaps I can rejoin you afterwards."
He stretches after finishing the drink, and nods. "Yes, that seems a fair plan. I do owe you a drink now, after all. I'll see to Helen and return here. Perhaps we can watch the festivities together." He pauses for a beat, thinks back on the conversation, and then adds without context, "Helen is my mule, by the way. Sorry, so much time on the road, I've taken to talking about her as if she was a person."
Rosemory nods along to the story he's telling, sprinkling a "That sounds terrible!"and a "Very athlectic of her to kick someone in the head,"into the conversation while she empties her drink.
"If you're leaving, I should join you. I have come all this way and haven't even looked at the festivities yet." She stands up from her chair and unfolds the red coat, putting it on. Now, with the collar up and the buttons shining in the little light the tavern offers, it very clearly resembles something the captain of a ship would wear, though it takes her some adjustment to make the too-large fabric sit right on her shoulders. She freezes in the middle of the process.
"...A mule?" Perhaps people on the land weren't so different.
"Ah, yes, a mule. I suppose at some point I named her Helen. Well, actually Lady Helena Cosset Muleworthy. I've had a lot of time alone, on the road," Halec says sheepishly. "I would certainly welcome the company, Rosemary. Company that can talk is a lovely change of pace."
OOC: If the inn is blocked off by the crowd, is there a place to stable the mule outside the bar, in the interim? If so he would just relocate Helen there, and resume the conversation inside the tavern.
Halec finds a bale of hay in an alleyway, seemingly this is a perfect spot for Helen to rest.
Chazrael, you notice a patron pulling a knife out on another fellow patron. From the looks of it, you are the only one who notices.
Anthony pays his bail and is released from prison, all his stuff that was put in a cardboard box was returned to him. As you walk out, you hear a guard yell to you "Stay out of trouble, if we catch you here again, you will have a higher bail and sentence."
Halec takes Rosemary's suggestion up, inviting her to walk and talk while he relocates the mule from the Adventurer's shack to the alleyway with the bale of hay. As he ties up Helen in the new location, he remarks, "That's quite a distinctive coat. Looks almost nautical if I'm viewing it correctly. Are you a sailor, by any chance?"

Rosemary, the bartender takes the coin off the bar and puts a tiny glass of ale, the size of a shot glass on the table in front of you.

Wait a second... a cardboard box XD, more like in the backpack it was originally in, or a small wooden crate
