Nolla stealth: 12
Nolla perception: 19 (passive is 17, so she already spots both Naivara and her companion, but needs to roll to see if she spots Latrius.)
Cade stealth: 19
Cade perception: 26 (same as Nolla here, passive is 16.)
The four walking up the path continue up, none of those noticing Latrious, but several of them glance in Naivara's direction.
"Ho the camp." The heavily-muscled warrior calls out, getting an eye-roll fromt he blond paladin. He just shrugs at her.
Inside the tent Haman glances up from his conversation with Mylene and the others. "Seems like we have more guests." He glances to Mylene. "Are these going to be more like yourself?" He gets up, once you answer, and moves outside.
I'll give you all time to respond to this so far before moving it along.
Nolla and Cade both spot Latrius, and I think both of your passives is above 12, so you both would spot Nolla. She is a pretty black-haired woman with gray eyes, slinking through the woods and moving closer to the courtyard. She steps on a branch, which cracks under her foot, more use to sneaking through towns than trees.
Everyone would know there are six members of this group and that a small halfling with pale skin is missing, and probably around somewhere.
"I'm not exactly sure. For all we know, there could be several more that we haven't met, but the fact that we've found several items containing our memories without coming into contact with them suggests that they aren't like us."
He pops out of the tent, seeing the adventurers. He gives them a friendly wave. "Hi! You're the ones that found the lost supplies for Phandalin, right? What brings you here?"

"No, I expect not, Master Kost," Mylene answers. "I believe all of the Memory-Erased like myself have already been accounted for. I would assume these are mundane travelers, that is to say, from this region and era. If you like we can speak to them, see what their business is here, or leave you to do so. You've been most gracious and forthcoming with your wealth of information, and I do believe this has been a productive exchange for both of us. I believe that, inauspicious beginnings aside, Mylene Durza of parts still to be determined and Hamun Kost of Thay will have a fruitful working relationship going forward. I will see what these locals want, Kierro seems to enjoy conversing with the people of Phandalin, I'm sure he can engage in whatever the peasants view as a parlay."
With that, she briefly checks her appearance in her mirror, touching it up slightly, then steps out to join Kierro in meeting the travelers. As Kierro greets them she simply graces them with a pleasant, neutral expression, and takes a seat nearby. "These people recovered some lost supplies? My, how heroic." She gives a small smile, having insured she still looks gorgeous despite her hastily repaired tattered clothing, the prior magical healing having removed the more unsightly wounds and the makeup from her disguise kit covering any remaining blemishes.
(Latrius is able to spot the small halfling as he stands, mostly hidden behind a tree.)
Adventuring party to Mylene and Kierro, Naivara, Leto, and Latrious around as well.
"We were asked to come out here and find out what was going on with someone hanging around the old well." The big warrior says.
"Introductions..." Coughs the human wizard from behind him.
"I am Leann, this big guy is Wilm, our introduction-wishing wizard there is Taman, and our little gravity mage there is Eldon." The blond Paladin says, introducing the four. "Our friends Nolla and Cade are around here somewhere."
Having given away her hiding spot by stepping on the branch a moment earlier, Nolla saunters out of the woods, a black-haired beauty with gray eyes. She looks as if she could be Taman's sister, the two look to have a family resemblance. "I am here, not sure where Cade is, but he will show himself if he is needed." Nolla says, giving everyone a friendly smile in greeting. "Yes, we were asked by the good Orchard Keeper in Phandalin to come out here and check out who was digging around this old ruin, and to check out the stories of undead chasing away woodcutters and such from the surrounding area."
At this point Hamun steps forward. "Yes, I am the researcher looking into these ruins." He tells the adventuring group. "I do have zombies under my control, as personal guards and to keep the site secure. They would only go after someone who came into the courtyard, so I guess you could have people spread the word not to do that until I have vacated the area, which will happen once my research is completed."
"I have heard these were old Netheril ruins." Taman says, stepping forward. "Would you be willing to discuss your research with a historical sage like myself?"
"Of course, but let me see my other guests off first." Haman says, turning to Mylene and her group. "It seems i must talk with these others for a bit, Is there anything else you require before you take your leave?"
Kierro bows to the group as they introduce themselves. "A pleasure to meet you. My name's Kierro. Mylene is the one sitting there, the tiefling is Leto, and Naivara and Latrius are... somewhere in the woods I believe." He chuckles. "Perhaps meeting with your Cade."
He turns to Hamun. "I don't believe we need anything else; we should be able to make it back to Phandalin tonight."
Then to the other adventuring group: "You seem busy at the moment, but perhaps we can meet later, back in Phandalin, and talk more at length. I'd love to hear of your adventures, and we might tell of ours as well."
”I am ready to be off, I suppose. Phandalin is as good a short term destination as any, but as leader on the expedition to recover our memories, might I suggest you consider this banshee as a possible source of information? Leto and I have never consulted with it and could do so separately, leaving one to inquire on Kost’s question and one who could possibly ask a question that might point us in the direction of answers about ourselves and our current condition. It depends on the breadth of the banshee’s knowledge I suppose, but it seems more likely to produce information than the vast library of information and college of learned sages that Phandalin does NOT have,” Mylene says with a slight emphasis on the sarcastic “not.”
”You are steering the ship, however, so if you see no value in a return trip to the banshee I’ll heed that order, and we will be on our way back to town.”
“Following the pull from our various lost possessions seems to be the simplest way to regain our memories. While I’m sure the banshee will prove useful, for the time being, I believe we should head back. Besides; the rations and equipment we’ve brought won’t last forever - we should resupply in Phandalin first. The banshee won’t be going anywhere in the meantime.”
”Any thoughts on this, Naivara? Latrius? Leto?” (Assuming that everyone’s come out by now. If not, he’d look around for them and motion for them to come out)
"Not like I can visit her again anyways. Was planning on returning to Phandalin regardless, have to fully repay my debt. Hadn’t given any thought to after that, suppose I’d just wait until I felt another pull or something."

Mylene - Latrius/Kierro and Leto and maybe Naivara
“That’s... not terribly proactive, just waiting for the next mental tug. Yes, it’s reunited us with some of our items and the memories contained within them, but it does nothing to exert control over this madness. We just remain subject to the whims of whatever forces set all of this into motion, with no clearer understanding of any of it. I had assumed we would concoct some more active measures to seek out information and get closer to our personal restorations.”
Mylene looks down at her battered attire. “I suppose returning to Phandalin is a comfortable notion at least. I can revisit Glasstaff and obtain some changes of clothes, maybe see if he has any historical tomes in his library I can procure to read up further on the history of this land. Kost was most useful in providing information. He seems to indicate he believes we are not of this world. That still leaves a lot of questions - where did we come from if not here, can we ever get back there, is there anywhere to go back to, and so on - but becoming whole is the priority, we are in all one accord on that.”
"That may be a problem..." Nolla says, taking a short step back from the group at the mention of Glasstaff. She glances around, seeming to note Kel, Nerrel, and Sivil's red cloaks for the first time. She glances to Wilm and the others of her group. then, with a shrug she sighs and nods to Mylene. "You should be aware we have dealt with this Glasstaff, and his redbrands. Glasstaff is in jail, his bandits and thugs either dead, in jail, or running for their lives." She holds Mylene's eye as she speaks. "If this means we need to come to blows, then I will say it is a bad idea, though we likely will end up worse for it, as it appears you have us outnumbered."
The big warrior frowns, as he too appears to notice the red cloaks. "Can't we ever be done with those redbrands..." He grumbles, eyes going flat as he waits to see what happens next.
”Actually, you’re closer in numbers than you think. I have no interest in brigandry, and I doubt Kierro or Naivara do either. That being said, coming to blows here would be bad for both sides."
He takes a step back from both groups, loosening his swords.

"That's great for Phandalin - they'll be able to live without fear now." Kierro says. Turning to Mylene, he sighs before adding: "I know that they helped you, and that you wished to help them expand their power, but you know what they've been doing to the people of the town. I believe you know how we felt about this. I, personally, would've offered to help in the fight against them had I been there."
Slowly moving in between Mylene and the other group, he says: "I don't want you to come to blows with them - they've done a great service for the town - but I also don't want you to be harmed. Losing Tessa, even if she was an uncontrollable killer, was bad enough. I don't want to lose another one of the erased in another pointless fight."
Mylene meets Nolla's gaze for an intense moment, then bats her eyelashes and crosses her arms over her chest, fingertips digging into her own arms slightly. She prepares herself mentally, a slow grin spreading across her face, as the pieces fall together. "You say you've 'dealt with' the Glasstaff and his soldiers. So be it. Whether he remains in jail and forgives your invasion of property and assault on him and his soldiers is up to him to decide. As a close friend of the townmaster I rather doubt Glasstaff will stay in jail for long, but again, that's a local concern to Phandalin. I assume you're outsiders, traveling to Phandalin on a grand adventure. Know that in the short time I've been here I've confirmed there are massive Orc tribes, and some number of Bugbears as well inhabiting the region around the city. However much you found their methods and practices, shall we say, unsavory, know that the Redbrands were the closest thing Phandalin had to an organized, armed fighting force. In effect, whether recognized as such or not, they were the town's militia, for practical purposes.
"Unless you and your group plan to spend the rest of your lives in this little hamlet, know you've scratched an itch and likely opened a scabbed over wound. I suppose it's up to you and your own sense of moral responsibility whether you leave the town to bleed for it. Without Glasstaff and the Redbrands holding them in check the orc tribes will move on the city at some point, maybe not tomorrow or a week from now, but some day. So stick around. Buy a homestead. Declare yourelves sheriff if you like. But this is your home, now, for good, if you have any sense of responsibility, Nolla and company. You've made Phandalin your responsibility, so now I expect you'll keep it, yes? For the rest of your natural lives? As people of character, I would expect no less from you, yes? Your adventures are over - now you retire to protect this town. Forever."
Mylene then nods briefly to Kierro and Latrius, before giving her remaining "loyal" Redbrands a reassuring smile. "Naturally if you're confident that Glasstaff will, in fact, remain in jail and the townmaster won't elect to reverse this course, you can't possibly expect to attack every person who wore the red cloak in perpetuity. These people are sworn to me, and to me alone, at present. Your business with Glasstaff is what it is, but by no means do I expect you'll attempt to pick a fight against me or my people, nor will they seek any vengeance for Glasstaff's capture. Glasstaff's fate will be decided by the townmaster, as per whatever passes for due process in this place. He made certain promises to me so I will access his estate to avail myself of what I wish, regardless of what the townmaster decides to do with him.
"I rather don't see that we have any present need for conflict, or really any purpose to continue this discussion right now, now do we, Nolla? Also, shouldn't you all be heading back to the town as well to prepare it for the inevitable orc attack? Regardless, you drawing steel on my people, and our allies, here and now, would obviously be absurd. We will be on our way."
Kierro shakes his head. "The people of Phandalin are survivors; that's how they've pushed through ever since they've built the town with their own hands." He grins. "They're not helpless at all - they'll be fine. You'd know that if you ventured further into the town than the redbrands' base."
Nolla stands there for a long moment after Mylene finishes. A slow smile curls up her lips, then she throws her head back and gives a full-throated belly laugh. Wilm and Leann share a look, clearly a bit surprised by their black-haired friend.
"You are something..." Nolla says after a moment, wiping tears from her eyes. She shakes her head as a few more chuckles slip free, then she lets out a sigh. "That was quite amusing..." She says needlessly. She gives Mylene a smile. "Should I tell you how wrong you are in nearly every aspect of what you just spouted, utter nonsense, or leave you in sublime oblivion?" She asks with another slight shake of her head. "I think I'll leave you to stumble along in self-delusion instead." She chuckles as she turns away and, nodding to Wilm and Leann, moves off to stand with Taman and Eldon. "Best laugh I've had in days..." She can be heard telling the two.
"Sorry, she is usually not so blunt." Leann tells Mylene once Nolla has stepped off a bit. She nods to Wilm before speaking to Mylene. "We don't have any desire to raise blades against you, and are glad to hear you do not wish to fight us due to our work at removing your redbrand comrads from their hold over the town. We will not hold you up any longer and let you go on your way."
Mylene, Leto, Kierro, Latrious, and Naivara
"Glad to hear that you do not wish combat." Taman says, stepping over. "We would love to meet up with you in less-unsavory places than this to discuss our adventures, and hear of yours." He tells you, including Leto and Mylene in the invitation. "We do have some things yet to do here, then we are going to be checking into the Orc issue, before we head back to town. Might be a few days till we get back there."
"I'd love that as well." Kierro replies cheerfully. "Hopefully the pull of our memories hasn't taken us off too far from here by the time you get back. I look forward to it. Be safe on your travels until then!"

Kierro shakes his head. "The people of Phandalin are survivors; that's how they've pushed through ever since they've built the town with their own hands." He grins. "They're not helpless at all - they'll be fine. You'd know that if you ventured further into the town than the redbrands' base."
Mylene
Kierro-Taman:
"I'd love that as well." Kierro replies cheerfully. "Hopefully the pull of our memories hasn't taken us off too far from here by the time you get back. I look forward to it. Be safe on your travels until then!"
