Either Tisto drops the wall of fire, or you skirt around its edge but you make it to the edge of the fog and looking down from the top of the ridge you can seem down the embankment into a small valley. About 150 feet down at the bottom you see the remains of a small campfire. This was not a large camp and certainly not the main camp of the Felhide. The minotaurs have left. The valley curves out of sight not far from where the campfire can be seen.
"It seems that we are on the right track, but we haven't found our target yet." Saya goes to the location of where she believes the two minotaurs that they were attacking before. If they are gone, she will try to figure out which direction they went.

Enough time passes and Soren's fog begins to dissipate as they Areus searches the camp. He finds that the occupants left very quickly. The fire is still warm and a couple blankets and half eaten rations remain. Saya also searches around the perimeter and is able to determine that the minotaurs likely left deeper into the canyon. One of the minotaurs must be injured as it appear to have a limp.

Callaphe Stealth 14 Survival 14
Raising her hood over her head, Callaphe moves forward to scout the way and see where the minotaurs went. She disappears around the bend and continues to follow the tracks. She can tell there are four minotaurs, one wounded. They are moving quickly and aren't making any attempt to conceal their movement until she reaches a small creek. The canyon forks right and left with a small shallow creek running from the right fork and following the left. The prints clearly enter the creek and she finds no immediate sign that they leave on the opposite side or anywhere close by. They have moved in the creek but she cannot say which way.
Upstream and to the right or downstream and to the left?
How far does Callaphe choose to follow up the creek either way to see if they left the creek bed? From what she can see it curves out of sight up ahead and there is at least one other split in the canyon that she can see they did not take. But she has no way of knowing how many other splits may occur until she or the party ventures further.
If she tarries long enough the rest of the party who is following along trying to give her space but still be close will eventually catch up to her.
Saya sticks with the group waiting for Callaphe to give them a sign on how to proceed.

It's getting late in the afternoon as Callaphe makes her decision and heads to the left following the flow of the shallow creek as it meanders deeper into the canyon. She needs to move slow so as not to miss any sign the minotaur have left the stream and go into any of the occasional side passages. As of yet she sees no sign.
The others are close enough to see which way Callaphe goes. They follow from a distance, ready to offer support but content for the time to allow her to track.
Another hour passes and you begin to wonder if you have gone the right way when you finally come across a sign you have chosen correctly. At the edge of the creek you find the corpse of one of the minotaur. His clothing and skin is burned, the broken off shaft of an arrow in his leg.
