As Callaphe informs the group of her find Areus says "I think that we should try to follow the one that backtracked. They knew they were being followed, the one that backtracked may be the one that leads us to their main camp."
“Agreed, and we should be careful with traps. I would suggest for Callaphe to lead, and I will watch our backs.” Saya is ready to follow the group back to the stream.

"If they were smart enough for this, they were probably smart enough to walk in eachother's footprints to mask their numbers," Callaphe murmers. "Follow me, and try to be more quiet this time around."
Callaphe lifts up the hood of her cloak and starts to follow the new set of tracks back towards the stream, stay a ways ahead of the party, but breaking off the branch of a tree or leaving a pile of rocks along the path she's following so they stay on the path she's following.
Areus nods in agreement to Callaphe's comment. He waits for a couple of minutes as Callaphe start tracking the minotaurs before following her trying to be as quiet as possible.

Callaphe ranges ahead as you again move downstream. Her attempts to remain quiet are foiled by those behind her as the sounds of kicked rocks and splashes echo down the canyon walls.
After an hour or so the sun begins to set behind the wall of the canyon and you have yet to find your quarry. You fear you either made a wrong choice or they have such a lead on you that you will not catch up. With the lengthening shadows and darkening sky it becomes harder and harder to see where you are going.
Will you continue into the night or stop and rest?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Saya checks their current area and tries to figure out if there is any way for the group to setup camp. (Survival: 15)

"It's getting too dark to continue, we should make camp. We will probably get ambushed while we rest, but it's preferable to fight in a place of our choice than let the minotaurs pick the ground." says Areus to the rest of the group. As Saya is already checking the area, the hoplite lends his military expertise to find together a defensible spot.
"They may be waiting for us at the next turn of the canyon Callaphe. I would prefer to fight them where we choose to fight, but you are our scout, if you think that it's wise to press on, I will back your decision." replies Areus.
"I agree with Areus. If you decide that we should press on, I will follow you Callaphe." Saya stops looking for a suitable place to camp, and gets ready to move if that is the group's decision.

You find a small hollow along one of the cliff walls that gives ample protection. You can build a small fire and are able to rest easy knowing that the only things that may find you unawares are those creatures that can scale the walls and come down on you from above. You fear though that the Felhide have gotten away with the fragment and you are running out of time. Talk comes around to the realization that the following day is the day the day that Nalke said the god Mogis would come expecting the fragment to be presented to him.
Would you get a chance to stop Dakun and the Felhide from presenting the fragment to Mogis and gaining his blessings?
The following day light begins to fill the canyon and you break camp and continue down river. About 2 hours later the canyon walls fall and you come upon a plain of low scrub grass. Any tracks you hoped to find are lost no matter how hard you look.
As the sun begins to climb higher in the sky and the heat of the day begins to reach the tired grass of the plains, a thundering sound echoes throughout the area. In the distance you can see the air begins crackle and spark. This electrifying tension is felt by all warriors, and they feel compelled to prepare for one last fight.
As you look towards where the sound has come from you begin to see groups move towards that spot. The hulking creatures can only be one thing, families of minotaur moving to see to see their god.
Tisto turns to the others saying "does this constitute a stampede? If so, at the risk of stating the obvious, probably not a good idea to get in its way; assuming of course we can work that out!"
