Upon seeing the city emerge from the deep, Tisto looks at it and takes a second mouthful from one of his wineskins, peers again and comments "Nope. Its still there?" Pointing the wine skin at the city he declaims
"Long asleep A creature emerges from the deep Upon it a city once proud and fair Its name Arixmethes"
What if anything does Tisto recall about Arixmethes (History = 5)
"Aye, that she does man of Akros. Somewhere in the city. Now we need to find her." Captain Argon answers.
You make landfall in the harbor area, using available facilities and find an area serviceable enough to dock at. Up close you realize that the harbor area and the entire city are devoid of life. Clams and seaweed cover walls and streets; water still trickles from many door frames and windows.
Captain Argon joins you as you disembark, Spyro stays with the ship and the crew. The crew had seen much sailing with a returned, but the sight of Arixmethes left them in wonder. Spyro, however, had a knowing grin on his face as he watched you leave.
As you make your way down the docks and onto shore dozens, if not hundreds of crabs and lobsters emerge from the houses and shadows. They form a path, standing left and right of the street. With their heads and claws, they all point onwards.
Tisto
Not much is known of this fabled place. The name seems to be interchangeable with the city and the kraken that the city rests on. Thought to be an island, but really a titanic kraken, generations of unaware humans had constructed a city on Arixmethes, though when the kraken woke, the city was demolished and the residents were killed.

Areus nods to the Captain as he confirms him that the Oracle is within the city.
"It looks like that those crabs and lobsters are somehow pointing us the way. Or blocking us from going somewhere else." says the Akroan indicating the creatures "Maybe the Oracle is commanding them somehow." Areus's gaze scans the area looking for some humanoid presence (Perception7) and then says the rest of the group "Shall we proceed?"
As he waits for their reply, Areus takes a few moments to check the fragment of the Elpis mask "Hopefully the Oracle will give us some clues about where to find the other pieces..."
Saya tries her best to walk straight w/out stepping on the sea creatures on the ground.
(I guess there are a lot of things to get used to when you have four legs...)

Areus looks around but sees no other signs of life. How much could there be in a city that was just recently submerged under water?
Following the path marked by the crustaceans, You arrive at the temple’s doorsteps. The temple is round, surrounded by marble columns, and topped with a golden dome. Steam rises from the streets and buildings, obscuring much of the surroundings. Following Captain Argo you enter the temple. You notice that the interior is covered with a thick mist. It is a mixture of evaporated water and incense. Braziers burn with blue and green flames, giving the chamber an underwater feeling. Phoebe awaits you in a pool of water, surrounded by a half-circle of marble merfolk statues, spouting water into the pool.
Tisto looks at Phoebe sitting in her pool of water and says "people have called me wet behind the ears before but she takes it to a whole new level! Given what people have said about her I expected to be dry behind the ears - not wet?"
Saya slowly enters the temple. She is intimidated by so much moisture.

Areus follows the group inside the temple. As he notices the Oracle sitting in the pool of water, the Akroan looks at the Captain and then takes a few steps forward.
"Greetings Oracle, forgive us for the intrusion." Areus bows his head and puts his sword hand to over his heart. "We are a group bound by fate and prophecy. We seek the fragments of the Elpis mask for Twelve of Meletis. We have been told that one fragment is located within your city."
"Welcome all. You are right in saying you are bound by fate and prophecy. The gods play their games and you are the pieces. We each play our part. You have come seeking knowledge on Elpis’ broken mask. Your wish will be granted. One is hidden in a temple on Arixmethes’ back, not far from here. I wish you luck with your trial!”
After the words ring out, the ground shakes, and the sound of rushing water echoes through the chamber.
Soren is awed at the sight of the oracle, but is snapped back to the present at the sound. "Do you think we should scram? I can no longer breath underwater, and neither can you."

At the sound of rushing water Tisto looks over at Saya "remember that promise about a lift if it got too wet. Well if its OK with you I think now is a good time for me to take you up on it!"
"Thank you Oracle, we may return after we find that fragment." Areus bows again and turns to his companions as the ground shakes and the sound of the water gets louder "I do not like that sound, let's get out of here before it is too late. The island may be getting underwater soon." The Akroan signals to the group to leave, waits a few seconds to see if everybody is moving out and looking at the Oracle as he exits the temple.
