Soren draws his sword, a grimace on his face. Killing a noble creature of the sea is not something he wishes to do. "Mighty Kraken! Honour Thassa, queen of the sea, and take your business elsewhere! We are on a mission that will benefit her greatly and we need to make haste! I do not wish to kill you!"

Soren tries to speak to the creature but it does not respond and seem to be no more than a beast. "A Giant Octopus!" Spyro calls. "If we hurt it enough it will leave" The other crew members seem uneffective against the creature but Areus slams his shield into the one tentacle and it drops the crew member who lands unconscious on the deck.
Saya and Tisto have better luck landing blows on the tentacles and two drop off the deck.

Action: Shortbow Attack Attack: 7 Damage: 6 ((Just going to go ahead and guess i'm not gonna get sneak attack out here... the aiming cunning action doesn't exist yet))
Callaphe grunts and steps back, taking aim at the tentacle as she does so firing an arrow.
As Callaphe's arrow pierces one of the tentacles they disappear off of the deck and back into the water. A few moments later the water calms. The crew sets to cleaning up the mess left behind. A few minutes later it is determined that there is no major damage to the ship. Argon step out onto the deck and looks around and Spyro informs him of you valiant actions to aid the ship.
"Very well" is all he says as he returns to his cabin, seemingly unconcerned by the attack on the ship.
"They may have some below deck Tisto" replies Areus with a smile. After a few seconds his expression changes into a more serious one as he adds "I bet that this will not be the last attack on the ship. It may be wise to not stay too close to the rails and prepare to fend off other creatures. I do not know about you all, but I do not know how to sail a ship so we should try to defend the ship and her sailors."
Ready and alert you prepare for any other attacks but the remainder of the day passes in peace. The sea however is getting rougher and come dinner time Argon steps out of his cabin and beckons to you.
"Join me for dinner this night. We have things to discuss."
You find yourself sitting around a table in the captains quarters. They are sparse and unadorned, nothing seemingly sentimental exists, no decorations hang on the walls.
"We will reach the Eddies sometime tomorrow. We must navigate the treacherous waters and fend off awful creatures to find Arixmethes. I also wish to speak with the oracle Phoebe who can be found there. This is why I agreed to take you. Maybe she has something interesting to say to you as well? Are you prepared to defend this ship as you did this day?"
"As long as we are on your ship Captain, we will defend it at the best of our capabilities." answers Areus "Our quest's objective is in Arixmenthes, but we may need the Oracle's help for our next leg of our journey."

The following day although the water looks calm, the going gets tough as the day progresses. The ship is thrown from here to there, like a nutshell in a torrent. With Captain Argon at the helm he starts barking out orders and find that you have been called to assist.
Each of you need to make a DEX Saving Throw, You may add your proficiency bonus if you have proficiency in vehicle (water).

As the ship is blown around you see that while Captain Argon seems to know where to navigate the crew is quickly becoming overwhelmed by all that needs to be done to keep the ship afloat. Quickly springing to action you start helping the crew haul on ropes and batton down hatches. Its a tense couple of hours as you navigate the unpredictable waters.
Eventually though the eddies pass behind you. The sea calms down. The ship continues to sway and creak but it soon settles down as well. No waves or ripples distort the ocean, the sky above mirrors in the sea. In the distance, a small rock emerges from the water. More rocks follow, growing into mountains. Then spires, walls, columns, streets, and houses appear from the sea. An entire city emerges!
This is Arixmethes, the drowned isle, and seeing it emerge is a once-in-a-lifetime event!
"Sooo... The fabled isle does exist indeed." Saya marvels at the sight.
