Rogram grins, looking a little surprised that Thia has picked up his idea and taken it further. "Something more permanent than my magic," he agrees. He looks at Smoke. "Like what you did before."
Yevele nods "We can try that. But, perhaps we should sneak up to the edge of the camp and see if they've made any changes since we were last there. If we do that, we should probably avoid that area where we the ambush was set up the last time we were here."
Smoke looks at the others, Well i gues i can disguise everyone.
He drops the kobold head feeling kinda silly about that now. And starts to take off his guard armor since that would seem strange with new recruits.
Smoke will take some time at the camp to disguise everyone. Most not needing to much change and using what scraps and pieces found in the camp. For himself he will hide his fur as best he can and cover his face in cloth leaving just enough room for his eyes.
So new recruits we are. Im sure they will want to hear that we would love to see Tiamat return.Smoke shivers at the thought.
Im sure this took a while to do for everyone using his disguise kit and scavaging the camp for supplies. After that Smoke is ready to head for that treeline view.
Weighing the ideas in his head Smoke adds Lets not go the same way, they might have more guards there. Looking down at his outfit If we are going to be new recruits we shouldnt be going cliffside. We should be going in the front door.
We will need to head to the bottom of the plateau and find someone to lead us in. Near where the kobold tents were.
(Im fine with either plan but we seem to be switching plans every post and then mixing them up :P. So currently Smoke is sticking to the plan of being new recruits since thats what they all dressed up for now. Then going in somewhere on the left of the map where they wish to find a treeline to scout ahead then most likely walk in )
Thia nods to Smoke. "Agreed. Let's keep this simple. Let's just stroll into camp pretending to be new recruits. Overly complex plans have a habit of failing in my experience. Everyone ready?"
OOC: Yes, agreed, let's just crack on with the plan and stop the back and forth or we'll get nowhere. :)
"Let's go," says Thia, standing and shouldering her pack. She's clearly determined to face this new challenge. Anyone watching intently though would realise it's a front, an act. She's clearly totally out of her depth and wishing for a warm fireside armchair and a good book. Talis might be in there. I'm doing this for her.
Before leaving this area, Yevele will look for a good place to hide her quarter staff. Not having a quarter staff, which the monk used in all of their previous encounters with the cultists, might help to keep people from equating the new recruits with the band that had caused them trouble.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Removed Yevele's quarterstaff from her inventory.

The trampled grasslands show further signs of recovery, but the trail is still easy to follow as you travel in the direction of the cultists' camp. Nothing disturbs your travel throughout the day, and after an evening of preparing disguises and settling equipment, you reach a familiar trail leading toward the small path that leads into the hollow of the plateau where the camp lies.
However, as you round the bend in the path, bringing the camp hollow into full view, you see no guards blocking your path. In fact, even in the dim light of the moon, the camp that you see before you appears to be largely empty.
The stinking huts of the kobolds on the lower level of the camp have been burned and lie as little more than crumbled embers throughout the area. The silhouette of the cultist huts on the higher level of the camp, as well as the guard towers, remain cast against the moon. There is no sound in the camp, and no sign of any humanoid presence walking freely.
"No," Rogram almost whispers. After a moment, "No!" he yells. "Where have they gone? Tracks. Did they leave any tracks? We have to find them!" He climbs down the cliff as quickly as possible and begins moving through the remains of the camp fairly recklessly looking for any clues as to where they could have gone. His somewhat aimless trek will eventually bring him to the big tent. Is it still there?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Upon seeing the empty camp, Yevele quietly says "Where are they?" as Rogram runs off recklessly, she starts to yell after him, but, thinks better of it and whispers to Smoke and Thea "Could this be a trap?" Then turning towards Rogram, the monk yells "Isn't this where we were told to find them? Isn't this the place that was looking for mercenaries?" The young woman will quietly move into the camp, looking around for any sign of people still there. She will approach the caves in the back of the canyon, first looking into the one where the prisoners had been digging on their earlier visit. perception11
Smoke looks amazed that the large army would seem to have departed. Gazing around at the camps to see if he can spot any movement.
Snapping out of the gaze at Yevele's words.A trap? ... Perhaps, but you cant hide an army that big. Maybe some remain, we must be carefull.
Smoke will move to follow Rogram, fearfull that he might walk himself into a few remaining raiders. He draws his rapier just in case and follows the path Rogram took trying to look around at each tent/corner they pass.
Should it be uneventfull he will first try to find the big tent where the many guards were before. Likely the place where Langdedrosa Cyanwrath or this Dragon lady Rezmir slept. He would try to find clues of the cult of their plans or anything about them.

Rogram Perception: 5
For Rogram:
Tracks and depressions all throughout the camp tell you that the bulk of the cultist forces left toward the camp's entrance, and likely in a large train including most of the camp's wagons and pack animals. The tracks show very little activity in the camp that wasn't in a westward direction toward the exit. However, as you approach the large tent on the upper level, you do notice traces of activity heading toward the large cave in the back of the camp.
For Yevele:
The large cave in the rear of the upper level of camp is shrouded in the dim, fading light, but you can see a human form standing around 30 feet into the cave opening, wearing a distinct and familiar black leather outfit that includes a mask of five talons like a dragon's claw.
As you traverse further into the camp it becomes apparent that all of the huts on the upper level have also been abandoned, including the large tent that had been heavily guarded before. The lone exception is a solitary hut behind the large tent.
A fire has been set just outside of this hut. Two women sit around the fire, stringing and tending to their longbows, while another man and woman reside within the hut, sharpening a pair of shortswords. The four humans wear mismatched leather armor, and one chuckles at Rogram's panicked state as he nears the large tent. None of them seem to be bothered much by your presence.
Rogram pauses and smiles at the sight of the four humans, but then composes himself and approaches more sedately, nodding congenially and attempting to look tough. "Ah ... good evening. We came here to join the army, but they've left. Are you all that remains?"
Rogram grins, looking a little surprised that Thia has picked up his idea and taken it further. "Something more permanent than my magic," he agrees. He looks at Smoke. "Like what you did before."

"The side near the tower?" Rogram asks.
Thia nods but then reconsiders. "Actually that tower is probably a lookout-tower. Best given a wide berth. Back to the side we came in last time?"

Agreed.
Yevele agrees with the plan, although she is nervous about walking straight into the camp.
